Irony1:
FreeStuffsNG please stop telling lies, when did they murder APC supporters in the south east?
Again on what basis in 2023 did you expect south east to vote for a party that called igbos 5% people, a party that against all advice and warning the president sanctioned a military operation called python dance that led to deaths of innocent people because they wanted to stop IPOB, that move now made people there become more sympathetic to the group.
Based on that and the fact that there was a more capable igbo candidate on LP, did you think they would vote for APC?
So you think Igbos can give over 90% of vote to their son because they think he is capable, but Yoruba dare not give their son just a little over 50% because they too think he is capable, or for some other reason at all which they're entitled to by the laws of Nigeria?

Also, you think Igbos are justified to react to Buhari calling them 5% and the operation Python Dance, but Lagosians dare not react after several years of continuous and sustained insults and attack on everything they hold dear? Be honest, have you ever seen an Ebira, Okun, Nupe, Gbagi, Urhobo or any other Nigerian from the other over 200 tribe called Lagos a "no man's land" other than the Igbos? Was it the Hausa people that held a meeting pre 2023 election, facing the camera and declaring boldly that taking over Lagos was non-negotiable? Is it the Ijaws that said that when they take over Lagos, that they will disband the traditional leadership and will chase Lagos traditional rulers under the bridge? Should I forward an X post that one of your sisters made a couple of weeks ago where she drew comparison between areas populated by Igbos and Yorubas in Lagos, and advised Lagos visitors to avoid Yoruba populated areas?
I know your first reaction to this post would be to deny everything. Then, when I drop tweets and links, you will claim they're not Igbos; that they're Agbado/Ronu impersonators. That, or you deflect to something totally unrelated like how Tinubu has caused hunger and poverty.

It’s call local government election for a reason

For the local people the owners and not strangers and visitors who now believe it’s a no man’s land

True, especially in LGs where they have large communities. One thing though, you have to organize and push for these reforms, contest, and campaign. Ronus are out to blackmail, dominate on the basis of tribe, and use criminal means to deny people of their constitutional rights, in a country where the constitution guarantees freedom and equality to every citizen, and money and resources from one state can be used to develop another state or city.

It’s similar to what happened in the US for decades. Whites held elective positions like DAs, Sheriffs, and Mayors in communities which were predominantly black, and systemic barriers prevented blacks from running and winning. But over time as people got more informed, pushed for reforms and organized communities for activism, blacks started running for offices and are
getting elected to these offices
Please preach this your sermon to your Igbo tribe also, to start by selling ordinary land to strangers in their region, may be , just may be this your message will have sense to others by then.

Your case is easy
Bianca Ojukwu was rejected !!!
Na only mouth you get

You cannot stand people of North or SW having Political Office
In your Region, it is like Taboo for you

Even in Lagos you don’t want indigenes to have ordinary Chairmen Positions in many Market Associations
there

Is it a lie?
Banning indigenes from holding Chairmen of Market Associations in their own Markets!!!!!!!!!

Is that not high hypocrisy?

I love my Igbo people and understand their point but please let this one slide. Lagos is a melting pot of different tribes in Nigeria and all tribes deserve representation, Hausa, Ijaw, Igbo, Fulani but Nigeria is not mature enough for that.

You should be able to vote wherever you pay tax as that is where you contribute to and where leadership decisions influence your life the most but tribalism is too deeply rooted in Nigeria. It will take a lot of years before we catch on.

And you'll ask why Ghanaian are protesting the Enthronement of Igbo king in their country. This is exactly what they're fighting against.

Igbos are no more satisfied with being vice chairman and councilor, not it's their duty to be chairmen. You'll only receive the type of treatment you give to others in your region

How many Yorubas have businesses in the place you mentioned?

You can't stay in your brown leaking roof room and be asking for power in another region.

Come and see what others are seeing in another person region before they set up businesses and you will shut up by force.

🤣🤣🤣🤣
Please who invited your kind to come to the south west? You chose to come to invest here without threat or coercion, that you decided to leave your region and explore better places than your region doesn't give you the chance to disrupt the peace, tranquility and progress that you came here to enjoy in the first place.

If your region was more prosperous than other regions you'll stay there.

You don't have peace at home but want to destroy others peace because they accommodated you

Anybody who contributes to his society and is a Nigerian deserves to hold political office in Lagos. Lagos is cosmopolitan,it’s for all of us. Its our taxes
Nobody forced you to come here, go and do your business and pay your taxes in your region.

Its hard to let go the grip. No one wishes to lose his ancestral land to strangers. Even the Igbos in their states wont allow such penetration they have gained in Lagos and entire yoruba states. We have many Northerners as well in Lagos and they are not interested in ousting the son of the soil from his seat. Make the Igbos rest.
Kemi a yoruba woman is a leader of a party in the Uk, to mention but a few. Why are u people so Backward in thinking?!

There are Yoruba residents in all South Eastern states. That you can't deny.

Oga since we have started this conversation, you are the one calling Lagos No man's land. For the past 6months it is still you guys calling Lagos No man's land. The reality is that the No man's land statement came from Lateef Jakande in his speech as Lagos governor in 1979.

Again no igbo man will say they will chase traditional rulers under the bridge when they take over Lagos. Anyone who said it on twitter if you do a proper investigation it is a Yoruba man using a fake profile with an igbo name to cause hatred. At least you people started confessing when the policies of Tinubu's regime started hitting you all.

FreeStuffsNG:
I am aware of a lot of Yoruba who are living and have lived in the South-East but it's same complaint that you are not receptive to outsiders. I believe this is valuable feedback that you can work on.

The Yoruba are many in the South-East but are not being reciprocated with political offices and opportunities because you want to keep everything within your own kith and kin. They perfectly understand you wink

The Yoruba in SE will mind their own business and not disrespect you , your culture and leaders.

Make your region friendly, safe and attractive.

There may be many Yoruba who wish to visit the South-East for leisure, tourism, business but most of them will quickly drop the idea because they don't feel safe to go there, most of their experiences are not particularly pleasant and they believe that the indigenes of South-East will not give an outsider opportunity.

Just look at the outcome of the last election nah. It's embarrassing yet you want others to open their own democratic space for you. Haba.
As a Yoruba guy who lived briefly in Enugu, if you have not been to the south east be thankful of where you were born, you can simply taste the hate in the air. I know all people in this region can’t possibly be that bad but the sheer hostility on a daily basis coupled with passive aggressive behaviors will tell you it’s not a place for any self respecting human. Ask a lot of Yorubas in the south east and you will hear the same, they are mostly there for a short time and know it’s no environment to raise a family in. There are thousands of igbos in what they refer to as brown roof, who have no intention of returning home because they know exactly what they escaped to be where they are. Only question is, if not for pure hatred why would you want to recreate the same kind of conditions that has not worked for you on another man’s land? Yorubas are by the definition of accommodating and it will eventually come to a head someday, they claim we hate them, yet majority of youth voted for their candidate even delivering him a state only for them to return with vile and evil agenda on Yorubas.

Hold on, did you people allow Betty Akeredolu to become a senator in Ondo?
otondo, did Betty ever indicate interest in contesting Ondo senatorial sit? She actually showed interest in that of her state, imo state but she was denied because she married a yoruba man angry that’s how primitive tribalism as eaten deep into ibo DNA

Go and develop and rule your own land - simple!!
This is not tribalism, people don’t naturally accept another tribe to come and rule over them in their own land.
This agitation will destroy the cordial relationship between the 2 tribes.
