The human mind cannot properly process what an eternity actually means. Our minds have been formed by our inevitable mortality. This idea of living forever is a fantasy than we have dabbled with because it sounds great but doesn't actually tackle how much such a thing will impact our psyches.

Just image if every single human being who has ever lived was in this so called heaven and you met 1 new person every 100 years, by the time you have met every single person once you still won't have entered 0.00000000000000001% of eternity.

I think the whole concept is just wishful thinking from a set of beings that have always despaired about death. The concept negates death yet has no real substance behind it.

Make peace with your mortality, your death will be final.

We cant even comprehend the concept. Even if you try to think about it, you will find yourself stumped. That shows our clear limitation.

You cant even allocate anything like a fraction or percentage to it. You can only do that to a finite or specified quantity.

Well said.

Nonetheless the nature of our consciousness strongly suggests that it is merely encased in this body and might escape it at death.
One thing that may suggest a sort of eternity for us though, is the fact that energy can neither be created nor destroyed - it only changes form - the first law of thermodynamics.

A new heaven and a new earth and a new Jerusalem is what the Bible says.
Orthodox Christians and Protestants generally align with this setup.
The idea of going to heaven forever was brought by the Pentecostals.

I included a figure to give a visual aid to point out how insignificant such a duration would be against what an eternity would be.

Ordinary sleep deprivation plays havoc with our psyches talk more about enduring something with no end in sight.

I am not convinced our consciousness survives even if I agree that our energies gets recycled into the universe. I think that recycle process actually shows there is no consciousness after death since energy carries no such traits.

Do your bible talk about "in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, we will catch up to meet him in the air, at the last trump"?

Everybody wants to go to the American, everybody want to go to European and British, those are the heavens of this world, where everything is peaceful and orderly and beautiful and prosperous

So, when we talk about heaven, we are talking about power changing hands. Heaven is condition that make crayfish to be enjoyning. Hell is the condition that make crayfish bend

Consciousness is still a very mysterious thing about which we understand little. I would hesitate to conclude definitely on what energies are conscious and what arent . Some even look at the Earth itself as a living thing and when one sees the life that sprouts from it, it is hard to argue that it is not living, and some thereon say it is also conscious.

I do not as yet make these conclusions myself but suffice to say that I can respect the fact that there are likely different types of consciousness we dont understand as yet.

I also share the same view with you. As far as am concerned, the concepts of heaven and hell are figurative. We experience both here on earth. In a dark world where evil prevails, the message of those who brought about religion of today are considered Heavenly and the rejection of it is also considered Hell in those days. This idea of growing wings and flying about the sky is ludicrous and also an insult to our collective intelligence.

In the air, not to the heavens.

Heaven is not meant for humans, there's going to be a new earth for the choosen.

Your mind cannot properly process what an eternity actually means, but you are so definite about the finality of death. It's clear whose despair and thinking about death is wishful here.

It's easy to see the point if you consider the alternative from the sources you read about the topic.

Ask Erriga what are they doing in the American country or in the Europeans country which is a garden according to Joseph Borrell

So they are all enjoyning themselves in those countries, eating the best the world has to offer, all the best and high quality goods and services belongs to them and for their enjoyning and enjoyment and jollofment, so they are the heaven of this world. They are safe, peaceful and prosperous, God's eyes is upon their land for good 24 hours 7 days a week. This is what heaven is all about. They are the ones ruling the earth and giving us rules-based order everyone has to bow and kowtow to their wishes, whims and caprices or you will suffer grin. Imagine if Donald Trump just says he wants to give us tarrif of 50%, omo Nigerians go shrink grin grin grin

So, heaven is rulership, where you get to rule the earth and make all the decisions because you he divine guidance and everyone has to follow you or else they will suffer

One day one day, after the great tribulation, Nigeria will become heaven, we will change the name Nigeria of course, because Nigeria literally means the land of brain dead people, land of the living dead, so we will change the name to land of the living and blessed, and nations all over the earth will come and be taking directions from our country and any nation that refuses our law will suffer in poverty.
