It's now official that Mr Buhari died on Sunday at a London hospital according to his spokesperson, Garba Shehu.

He said “The family of the former president has announced the passing of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London. May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin,” Mr Shehu wrote on X.
The former president has been abroad since April. According to sources close to his family, Mr Buhari initially travelled to the United Kingdom for what was described as a routine medical check-up, but subsequently took ill.

Mr Buhari was Nigeria’s president between 2015 and 2023. He stepped down on 29 May 2023 after serving his constitutionally permitted two terms

Muhammadu Buhari also served as Nigeria's president twice: first as military head of state from 1983 to 1985

What I remember buhari for, is simply that he was better than Tinubu 😁! He didn't dazzle us with derelict speeches like whose name we must not mention👀.

He showed that indeed education doesn't translate to wisdom!— He was the inspiration of the illiterate 😁. If a cattle rearer could maintain naira better than a so called "Blueprint architect😂" then surely everyone has hope!

The blueprint architect has shown us that he is only good at turning high rise buildings into rubble.👀

Buhari would have been the best president of Nigeria but religious bias and tribal bigotry mess him up.

He cared more for Fulani than the country he served.

I voted for him in 2015 but within a short time,I realised he had no good plans for Nigeria. Insecurity during his tenure was very high which was surprising considering the fact that he was a retired army General. He couldn't even secure his Katsina state.
Anyway, God blessed him with long life,he lived to ripe old age.
May his soul RIP.
