Buhari came into power riding on the back of public frustration about the GEJ presidency especially insecurity, and its tolerance and disposition towards corruption. He promised change, integrity, war against corruption and an end to insecurity only to deliver the exact opposite on steroids. In his 8 years, Nigeria witnessed economic regression, worsening insecurity, ethnic and religious tensions, unchecked banditry, and a general collapse of governance.

Under his watch, the naira crumbled, inflation skyrocketed, jobs disappeared, crude production ebbed to an all-time low. Businesses folded, food and basic groceries became unaffordable, families became impoverished. The tertiary education unions spent more time on strike than at their duty posts. Ditto doctors and other healthcare professionals. The health and education sectors decayed. He cancelled the merit-based PRESSID scholarship scheme because it was being dominated by southerners. Young people fled the country in droves out of desperation.

Boko Haram, bandits and unknown gunmen thrived, and it felt like the country was under siege. Farmers couldn’t go to their farms. Fulani herdsmen wreaked havoc. Whole indigenous communities were wiped out while the government responded with silence and empty condolences.

He gallivanted around the world. Granted lacklustre interviews and made insulting remarks about Nigerians like Nigerian youths are lazy. He alienated an entire region by referring to them as 5 percent and a dot in a circle. He was so ethnocentric and his appointments were lopsided. His body language emboldened impunity and corruption thrived under him.

I could go on and on but make I stop for here.

The truth is Buhari's death is coming too late. Nigeria would have been better off if he had done a Yaradua, and Osinbajo had ascended to the presidency.

E no get how person wan spin am, Buhari was an unmitigated disaster and catastrophe.

The worst thing about Buhari is the endsars thing.

Him and Sanwo-Olu.
Shooting unarmed civilians.
Fashola going there to form inspector.
Sanwo-Olu standing by and then denying while Lagos carried out secret mass burials of people.

Thing is you can't even say God will punish them because God dey merciful.

But God punish them still on still

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by liveLongNprospa(m): 1:06pm On Jul 14, 2025
Alot of us just got out of uni when buhari became president.
The man wrecked the economy and jobs became scarce.
Money lost value.
Fx skyrocketed.
What buhari did to visa application process was mad.

Then I remember some stupid policy that caused fx to be scarce and parents had to run everywhere to look for black market to send to their kids abroad to pay fees before losing admission.

Do I even talk about the unprecedented level of stealing that occurred in the oil and gas sector.

Or is it the fact that it was common knowledge that cows had more value than human lives.

They want to canonize Buhari right before our eyes in the age of social media where there's evidence of his misrule everywhere on the internet.

The same way they kept telling us Nigeria was getting better under him when the contrary was what was happening.

TemporaryHansel:
Atiku was VP, not president, yet you're crying that he didn’t build a “world-class hospital” by himself, while defending two actual presidents who’ve had unlimited power, budget, and eight full years each, but still treat Nigeria like a medical dump.

Tinubu and Buhari had the full control of power, military, budget, policy yet neither of them trusts the same health system they governed. They’re in power, but their medical records are stamped in London.

You’re foaming over where Atiku lives, but your current president literally flies abroad for checkups, and your former president was practically on a hospital bed in the UK for months, as a sitting president. Yet not once did you question that. He still went ahead to die in a foreign country.

You’re asking where the hospital Atiku built is, but where is the one Buhari built with eight years and trillions in oil revenue? Where is the one Tinubu promised? Oh, I forgot, they were too busy building propaganda warriors like you.

Atiku is not the president. The men you defend are. So before you keep typing “Dubai” like it's a slur, ask yourself this: what exactly did your own idols do with more power, more time, and more trust? Nothing, except passport-stamping their health records abroad.
@Semid4lyfe thanks for restoring this post.

Having to actually work for a living will do that to a lazy man. Most of us here you can get an idea of what we actually do and how we chase money. All we hear from the elder wailer is how good things were during the days of pdp. But we never hear what he actually does or did.

The guy is so bitter at his lost free money that he looks for how to protect what is left from tax.

Meanwhile everyone else has moved on. All that is left now is for him to hate on batists because he projects onto them and assumes that like him they live solely off the droppings from politicians members (yes members)

Wicked Buhari.

He withheld our salaries and starved us for 8 months because of strike action. Opelope PBAT who paid us 4 months of the withheld salaries.

I hope Buhari's soul roasts in the hottest furnace of hell.

He used to be one of the home based Eagles in the early 90s. He played mostly in qualifiers and players like Friday Elahor will take his place when the real tournament comes
