I thought I read that Sporting rejected €65m guaranteed + €10m add-ons and they were asking for €70m guaranteed + €10m add-ons... But now the deal is concluded for less. I guessed the 1st offer from Arsenal was €60m guaranteed + €10m add-ons that was rejected and not €65m guaranteed + €10m add-ons.

Anyway... It's good the drama is now over
Their hands were forced first by Viktor and Agent waiving their cut of the transfer fees and also their resolute unyielding desire to leave..

They did the guy dirty that club is terrible
Players will be careful with the contract they sign with them henceforth
The agreement was he can leave for 65m until sporting was waiting for transfer war hoping to cash out big but gyokeres shock them by insisting on only arsenal

They're in same league as Benfica, Brighton, Spurs and Napoli,_Look at how everyone is avoiding Osihmen and how they wasted Coulibaly best year with outrageous demands...

Any players signing with these clubs are playing with their careers...

Goalkeepers
Raya, Kepa

Defenders
White, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior, Calafiori, MLS, (Mosquera)

Midfielders
Zubimendi, Norgaard, Merino, Rice, Odegaard, Nwaneri, (Eze),

Attack
Havertz, G Jesus, Saka, Martinelli, Trossard, Madueke, Gyokeres, (Rodrigo)
This is a strong 24 man squad minus Rodrigo which I am sure we are not getting. I just hope we get Eze, but even if not, the squad is much better that what we have had in a long while.

Are you assuming that Maresca is a better manager than Arteta?
Less we forget, last season, Arteta took 4 points out of the possible 6points while Maresca managed a point between the 2 clubs encounters.

most of our incoming deals are in instalments of 2-3 years. With the confirmed deals everything should be around £177m with actual payments for this window being around 80m or 90m. So can we get half or more than half of it from players sales?.

If we can be done with Eze and sell some surplus to requirements then I’ll rate this window 10/10

Maresca won a tournament we had no opportunity to compete in. Not like he qualified for it himself.

They had to hype the UEFA Conference League just to spite Arteta.

No one has vilified Maresca but bringing him up to castigate your manager is petty. Very petty on their part.

Ask yourself how the board suddenly started buying all these players all of a sudden, you are all claiming injuries and lack of striker
Same arteta was backed every season he and edu will pack defenders full squad with no adequate squad depth, it's the same squad depth he's getting now so what change

I know excuses can't finish on top arteta, and with time all these excuses arrested over time.
From apari made us 2nd in 2 occasions where's slot ce from nowhere to win it in his first season
Same apari won it with severe injuries to his squad, you guys should continue making excuses for mediocre
So the board released money to Arteta last transfer windows, he decided to sit and fold his hands and look? During the winter window, he was very vocal about wanting to sign Sesko, everybody was crying for a striker, if the board had given him financial backing wouldn't he and Edu have approach Leipzig for the player? Even if they didn't sign him, he would have gone for another striker but shishi board no drop, should he be signing players with his own money?

Do you know just 3 seasonal ago, Arsenal was being rejected as if they were covered in shit. Rafinha rejected us and stayed with Barca, Vlahovic rejected us and went to Juventus and a number of other players because we were not playing CL football. If we couldn't get our desired players, how do you expect us to get our desired results? Now that Arteta has finally gotten his desired players and squad depth, it's now that I will not excuse if he fails to deliver this season and I know he won't. Imagine Chelsea without all these squad of players to rotate, do you think they'll be winning trophies as they are doing?

What affected us last season
Injuries
Fatigue towards the end of the season
Lack of a sharp striker to converted the numerous chances created

Now everything has been addressed, it's now that I will not entertain any excuse from Arteta

You asked if Chelsea started with a CF and the answer was provided and you have changed it to natural 9.

Whether he is a natural 9 or not, he started as CF

We agreed on this last season until they used injuries to cover face

Injuries and fatigue are good enough reasons not to deliver, nothing like covering face.

I don't know why they think it's absurd not to join the bandwagon and call for the sack of the coach that took us out of the pit Unai Emery threw us in. He took us from a club players were rejecting to one players are begging and fighting to play for. He put the respect back to our name and for that he will remain goated to me

Not really, no Saka deputy last season even after letting Nelson go on loan, Nwaneri was to cover Odegard, I remember Roland17 complained a lot about this. We didn't get Nketia replacement also cos the initial understanding is that Harvertz came in for Xhaka, we only kept quiet because we know Harvertz can also play as CF and with Merino joining the midfield... But then both Jesus and Harvertz were out same time last season. ESR and Vieira also left leaving us with a lean squad.

I don't even have a problem with our last summer activities, but our silence during the January window despite our obvious challenges is what annoyed me. Well I don't know for a fact if it is Management or Arteta that were responsible for that inactivity, but whoever was, cost us a lot.

But with this squad, Arteta has no excuse. Like I wrote before, if by December the aroma is not strong from his cooking, he should be shown the door.

Bro last season after the season ended the first thing on everyone mind was to get deputy for saka and CF only for us to be seeing merino, calafiori after selling some attacking depth like nketiah and rowe I guess that was why the board stop the funding because this man was just packing defensive players
Last season the key areas we suffered most injuries was the attack that's because the coach favour defense
There were some key games we couldn't finish off opponents, another example is this current transfer we have gotten 3 defense line players with one incoming while we can boost of just 2 attack minded players

Tomorrow if things go sideways we will blame the board

we can all agree that Arteta is not delivering at the level befitting of us, but we can't say the progress isn't there and the fear factor isn't back in the mind of our rivals. There's a reason the board members and owner rate him so high and block their ears when we shout Teta out. Dude is bringing back profits for them(that's mostly what's important to them) and changing the old narrative. It's left to see what will happen at the end of this coming season if he still doesn't deliver an important trophy. I can only wish and hope shaa.

are you saying this signings isn't needed?, or that we should have prioritise attack first and leave out the important gaps being left behind in those areas they already covered?.

Attack was the gap we failed to invest in and we suffered for it
Partey and rice still played defense last season while we were limited in attack
The players gotten calafiori was on and off, MLS introduction won't have happened, Merino also flipped in his primary role but excel in his make shift role
If we had prioritize attack it won't be bad as that, laslas we outscore our opponents
Last season Nuno Espirito said they didn't bother to defend deep again us because we were toothless in attack

It was a good thing we got Calafiori and thank God we also have a good upgrade in MLS, it would have been worse last season at the back. Maybe Merino was not as needful, but he was essential after pushing Harvertz to the front. The only reason we felt Merino was not that essential was because Partey stayed fit for the 1st time most of the season. So, for a decent squad after getting rid a lot last season, we should have had all we got last summer + Saka's deputy at least... and by January after realizing Jesus will not be available for a long time, we should have gotten a CF at least.

Do you know MLS played more matches than calafiori and it was easy to transition from defense to attack with MLS
Truly we didn't expect MLS sudden breakout because I thought Ethan will develop ahead of him but the boy was there to save arteta as his 45m man can't play 3 straight matches without getting knock

Whose fault is it that Arteta did not sign a striker in January?

Did Arteta wait until deadline to identify and chase Watkins?

Did Arsenal 60M for Watkins or not?
