The monorail especially in port Harcourt that would never have ever worked successfully.

It would never have gone passed mile1 bus stop.

Where would it have passed to get up to aba road?

That 500meters ameachi built alone cost up to billions. It would have closed up to trillion to finish that project and we haven't talked about the houses that would have been destroyed.


I am no fan of Wike, but ameachi was drunk when started that shit.

It's a lie.the problem is mainly about management,there is enough money to have sustained and maintained the project,FG could have even taken it over at the very least. But due to gross mismanagement because of corruption projects like that are bound to fail

This place should have been privatized long time ago. Government shouldn’t have a hand in running business

The bolded means that he is still right, education is the problem of Nigeria. What we have is bunch of educated-illiterates who thinks they're educated because they got a university degree or PhD join too yet still thinks like cave men, you try to correct them they tell you they have doctorate degree....

Which tourism are you talking about? Having a few hundred people visit in a year doesn't make a project viable. You need hundreds of thousands of foreign visitors or a booming local economy. And both are lacking. If you were foreign, hearing all about the shit happening in Nigeria, would you visit?

The roads are no longer safe to train, high cost of transportation & living etc. Government is not good in doing business esp. hospitality business. The resort needs a private investor to revive it.

Nigerian government are not serious with anything no wonder small Ghana is far better than Nigeria. just look at how Ghana government are boosting tourism even Rwanda, Nigeria has everything but still they don't care.

Donald Duke really took tourism very serious when he was a governor, if he was still the governor. OBUDU would have been the most visited tourist attraction in West Africa.

I disagree with you. Look at Nike Lake, Enugu, Solution FunCity in Awka. Both resort and recreation center are currently generating revenue for the government. Cross River State government failed woefully here.

Government has no business in doing business. Just provide the enabling environment like ease of doing business, low taxes and provide good security to tourists.

Haven done the above that place should have been leased out to hospitality giants like Marriott, Hyatt, Four Seasons etc or even to Le Meridian like the Akwa Ibom govt did.
