Let’s keep deceiving ourselves
American cities are cities indeed while they stlll have wilderness.
The video depicts a wilderness
I can’t see houses and human activities

Ehn? ROFLMAO. I don die! Films don’t show these parts.
Depends on the films you watch.
Even as a kid watching Christopher Reeves version of 'Superman 1' you can clearly see and understand rural America with dusty roads and water wells.

The US is the most open society in terms of information. If you want to find out the State with the worst urban roads just Google it and you will be amazed at infrastructural decay there. So bad that even Discovery Channel has a piece on it.

There is dysfunctionality and poverty everywhere in the world. It is just a matter of proportion and relativity.

I am very serious because America is a highly developed country and they are still building so many infrastructures as we speak!

I am NOT exaggerating!!
If America is highly developed, what do you say about China or UAE?

Compare America with her mate jare. Not this our yeye Africa countries. The guy didn’t mean to ridicule US, him just show people for 3rd world countries wey never leave their country say, rural areas dey every where. grin

Something for some Nigerians to moan about, some will be like 'at least we are not that bad if the almighty US is like this'

Glimpsetv:
A Ghanaian working in the United States as an Amazon delivery driver has shared a video showing the condition of a rural road in the US — sparking widespread discussion on X.

The post attracted mixed reactions. Some users explained that this is typical of rural areas, noting that such roads are often quiet, with few residents, as they mostly lead to farmlands.

Others pointed out that roads like this can even be found in urban areas of some African countries — especially in Ghana, the driver's home country.

Why should I be surprised to see such roads in America. Is America no more part of the earth before? With some natural landscape, grasslands, mangrove swamps and every other things you can see in nature Earth. People sef. There untarred roads to farmlands, wilderness, even deserts. America is so big and have them all. No big deal.

Our bloda, leave South West alone and talk about your region.

South West no be your mate in infrastructural development.
I'm yoruba partially from akoko and ekiti, in Ijero local government, and i used to go home to see my mum until her passing last year. We had to pass okemesi to ikoro before getting to ijero due to bad road. But why do you guys always defend bad governance and you always think anyone who doesn't support you in this manner is a non-yoruba? Same applies to the ibos when you spot a bad thing that any of their governors is doing. Mr tribalistt, Nigeria can never move forward with this your mentality because you and I are the ones always bearing the brunt, not those you're defending blindlyy cos they don't live with us. Oyebanji comes from lagos once in a while, like fayemi did in his terms as governor. He only stays more in ekiti than fayemi. The earlier you decist from this mentality, the better for us all.

Apart from Lagos, where else is that infrastructure your mentors are developing? Had those governors before Sanwo-olu not stepped on toes and called the bluffs of tinubu, do you think they'd have done what you and I are seeing today? It almost cost fashola his 2nd term while ambode was removed cos he refused to give room for corruption but a good person will be remembered forever. Fayose can't be forgotten for road infrastructure in ekiti.

Is it ogun state roads that have turned death traps that you're calling infrastructure? Only Ondo fares just better on roads and thanks to akeredolu. Most of them are even getting bad again. I remember when I passed the akure-ondo-ore road last year. That axis isn't good at all.

It is Orla road in Yoruba land coke to East and see roads and government are building fantastic roads, individual are building roads also... In southern Nigeria Yoruba region is the most backward reone Lagos the region is terrible

I am in the east now...you can't see a road that's this bad today ...as of today ..you can't see
Oga, you are not in the East, stop lying.
The only road good here are major roads or street roads that connects to major roads.
If not the government doesn't bother to repair it, na the community dey even beg local government to at least intervene on their behalf and it might take more than 8years before they will hear them.
Here in Enugu, the tap water only runs in major ways and streets where traffic are high, so people will say the governor is working, but in smaller streets, nothing, in the dry season, no water, in the rainy season still the same.
This isn't about tribalism,am from the East,so, Nigeria never reach to compare with America at all.

Team sane clime what do you have to say about this?
What is this one saying. The guy said rural road, which is obvious based on its terrain.

The truth is US is 100000 times saner than Nigeria. There's nothing u can do about it. Go to ogun state you'll see such road in urban streets

Rubbish! There lots of roads like this in Texas and the whole of US most of them are roads that lead to the farms, construction sites, logging sites etc. Trying to prove unnecessary point.
Ironically, roads that lead to farm lands in China are asphalted..
You need travel to the PRC, take a speed train from any city to Beijing and see wonders on earth

Even if they existed as you seek justification for a backward africa the Probability 95% americans will use that road in there lifetime is zero

Those roads are roads to know where in particular BUT come to naija ... main roads commuted by travellers are in terrible state that's the valid difference
I categorically stated that I was not saying its okay to compete with the negative sides.

I don't have time talking with people who don't understand basic English but want to argue...

Anything to justify our incompetence and lack of self-underdevelopment!
Nigeria govt will soon swim in this.
Biko, when are you returning to Ghana where the roads are 'better'?

This is our normal road in Nigeria, but abnormal in the US.

Anyway, how many road like this do you see daily in the US? I know that bad road like this is in the US but is not common.
If this is a normal road where you come from, then hold your state and local government.

In Nigeria we have Federal Roads, State Roads and Local Government roads, it is ignorance and lack of basic education that make you lots blame the FG for every pothole you see.

FYI not every part of the country is like this

They are called dirt roads mostly found in rural areas worldwide. You don't expect every inch of roads in a country to have asphalt do you?

Ok, but it’s still water closet, it’s just not connected to public sewerage system, they use septic tanks.
I have also seen the one with septic tanks those are evacuated regularly or treated, this one is not . Spent 5 years in that area never seen anyone evacuate so I doubt. The thing is that they have massive land . One person may lay claim to twenty hectares of land and the US government has no power over the the land ( they mostly have their governing body and tribal president, it’s like a jurisdiction under the U.S territory but subject to US protection)so they mostly do whatever they want .In fact , federal authorities can’t arrest anyone there without consulting the tribal authorities there.

When it’s morning I will call someone there and comfirm for sure if they evacuate or not .
