So traditionalists were chased away when they came to perform burial rites for the Awujale of Ìjẹ̀bú land.

Going forward in Yoruba land, I think Traditionalist should put their foot down and insist only people who practise African Traditional Religion should be allowed to rule as kings.

Anybody that doesn't Want to have anything to do with traditional rites while alive and after his demise should not be made king by the kingmakers. The whole idea of Christian and Muslim Obas don't make much sense at all.

If dem explain how Nigeria works and you understand am, just know say your life don spoil.

My guy hired someone to work on his fish pond farm, simple work. Next thing, the guy dies on the job, he was the only one there. Police came to pick up the body, and now both them and the family are extorting him as if it's a murder case.
So now, na crime to employ person for this country?

He called me yesterday sounding drained.

What's the simple job?
How did he died doing a simple job?
Who reported the case to police?
Have they tried doing autopsy on the body?
Why is your friend paying since he's innocent and not get a lawyer?
Is the poultry registered since he can employe?
Does your friend know any of his family member before employment?
Did anyone sign as guarantor for him?
Is the poultry environment save for workers?

Pond farm*

You know there are some people in Nigeria that don't believe in the lawsuit route. They think it's not worth it. I believe most Nigerians are on this route.

It was a temporary one day job, and yes he knows the worker's family. The pond is safe. No one signed as guarantor.

No sign of injury or anything. I feel body just do the guy one kind, he lie down, from there die. Because he died in sleeping fashion.

How do we possibly justify all the money spent on the Aso Rock Clinic when the very people it’s meant to serve are abroad for medical treatment almost every other week? Buhari and Tinubu, una well done o!

1. When incidents like this happen, it is the police that will investigate and decide whether or not theu suspect a crime has been committed.

2. If the police conclude from their investigation that there is a suspected case of foul play, they will proceed to prosecute whomever they suspected to be involved in the unfortunate incident.

3. From the incident you narrated up there, it will only take a lot of pressure from the deceased's family to make the police drop the case against Ur guy. If the deceased family tell the police expressed they don't want any autopsy carried out on their son and they just want to bury him, then the police will let go (of course after milking Ur guy for substantial bail money).

4. I must say if the deceased family is a very poor one, they will demand settlement money from Ur guy before they tell the police to drop the case against Ur guy.

5. Once this sort of unfortunate incident happens in naija, if one is not lucky he can go to prison despite being innocent. I once read about how a medical doctor was attacked by two guys trying to rob him. He was able to fight one of them off and drove off while the robber was hanging to his car. The robber fell off and died on the spot. The guy reported it even with eyewitnesses, the police prosecuted him for manslaughter.

We’re expecting the presidents from Guinea, Gambia, and Chad to attend the late Buhari's funeral tomorrow. - Gov Dikko.

Gov. Dikko: Every time I meet Buhari, he tells me, 'Go and do what you can, but only God can fix Nigeria. I pity Bola. Bola is a strong man for removing the fuel subsidy. Whenever I wanted to remove it, people advised against it. But he, without advice from anyone, removed it in one day. If he had sought advice from others, he would not have done it.’

It makes no sense at all.

I learnt the Awujale through one of his subjects sponsored a bill that has now been signed into law which allows for Ogun state monarchs to be buried according to the religion they identified with and not the African Traditional Religion as expected.

https://dailytrust.com/burial-rites-ogun-monarchs-floor-traditionalists-as-abiodun-signs-bill/

The only way forward is for the kingmakers to always insist only a traditional religion worshipper gets to be enthroned as king. That is the only time they will have power to do things as they ought to be
