It will be dishonest to say that someone who was bad while alive was good when a dies.

If you want people to speak good of you when you die, then endeavour to do good while alive.

It's as simple as that.

You don't expect people to come and paint pmb a good person when his govt caused the people do much pains.

It is a confirmation that he performed woefully.

When you suffer people in the name of governance they will react that way.

When Yaradua died, he left a legacy that spoke for itself, people genuinely mourned him despite the fact he was smuggled into the airport and Nigerians were shielded from the truth - (I remember vividly when they cut power in the airport to keep things under the cover of the night)... bottom line, the truth was spoken by the masses & Yaradua till date remains one of the most loved Democratic president's ever elected.

Now for Buhari's legacy, the economy speaks for itself... yes tribute should be paid to the honor of a past president, but like it or hate it, the fact remains that Economic retrogression and acute decline is part of Buhari's legacy.

Former President Buhari was a populist he prioritized the comfort of masses than the total economic well being of Nigeria as a nation hence his refusal to remove fuel and dollar subsidies and his continue borrowing. Another problem was Kemi Adeosun minister of finance who understand the economy and doing a good job but have to resigned because of nysc certificate scandal and the woman that replaced her is completely far far less brilliant and competent than her yet president Buhari kept her till the end of his tenure.

In terms of security, he really tried because by the time he took over from Jonathan boko haram have already entered Abuja but he was able to pushed them back to border states
