I think we would have been better off in the hands of our colonizers grin honestly it would have been better. cos our leaders are shameless. All they know is how to play manipulative wicked divisive politics thinking it's smartness. It doesn't take rocket science to build a working medical facilities. Unfortunately some of the best doctors in those oversees are Nigerian

The passing of Buhari speaks to the fragility of human life.

One thing must be said: Buhari is not returning like a cargo; he returns escorted by the highest level of government. A retinue of soldiers are awaiting to give him the higest honour to a military general. This is real pulling out of Buhari. He did not die in disgrace. He died after completing his tenure and sometimes taking drastic decisions to keep the unity of Nigeria intact.

What many may not remember was that some countries refused to sell arms to Nigeria. As such, the military was ill-equipped to tackle the insurgency which did not start under Buhari. When Buhari came into power, he had a meeting with Donald Trump who reverse Obama's policies and sold the super tucano jets to Nigeria. Arms were also sold to Nigeria and we started giving the insurgents a bloody nose.
So Jonathan did not fight insecurity?

You have been misinformed!

And whose job is it to put the Nigerian hospitals in good shape?
A good and reasonable question ❓ directed at Our So Called Leaders - dealing with us Nigerians and that is Terribly Bad!
Today most the the Past Leaders( in Executive and Legislatures ) in Nigeria have gotten enough $ Estacodes - to Travel to any part of the Globe 🌎 and lodge in for ordinary checking there health Status and that of the their Family, while that of their Footsoldiers and gaulibles audiences Health- life remained elusive .
So,now they are gathering in another Party to do more damages and Many Nigerians Are Still Being Deceived!

Re: Buhari could have died long ago, If He Used Nigerian Hospitals — Femi Adesina by lexy2014: 1:21pm On Jul 15, 2025
And yet, he still died in the London hospital.

London hospital could not save his life.

If buhari was too special for Nigerian hospitals, why is he not too special to be thrown into the ground in Nigeria?

Will buhari be sitting in the plane that will fly him to Nigeria or he will be put in the cargo compartment of the plane along with the luggage of the passengers?

Omo! Given the opportunities these so-called leaders had to change the Nigerian health sector for good, it’s a shame that Buhari ”finally” died in a London clinic walai! I’m sure that future leaders are not learning from others experiences.
And brought back as a consignment. The irony of life is that he wanted Umaru Dikko back like this.

The man that called us wailers is now wailing

papyjaypaul:
We don't speak ill of the dead but we won't lie about the reality. Why am I disappointed in this President? He had the opportunity to fix the health sector and he did not. He even said it before the second term that he had never been this sick so no one can play God or religion on me, God literally used his life as an example and what did he do? Nothing you can tell me can make sense if two of our former heads of state are in London hospitals and they want the young people to respect them. Respect what I ask?

So instead of him to correct the wrong trajectory of medical tourism,he became the president and simply continued.

Y'all should be very much ashamed

FACT CHECK: Did Buhari promise not to go abroad for treatment? (updated)

Since Monday when it was announced that President Muhammadu Buhari was going for a medical check-up in London, there have been a lot of controversies. While some argued over the health condition of the president, others revisited some of the promises he made before his emergence in 2015.

The social media was rife with claims that Buhari promised not to go for medical care abroad. A statement in circulation quoted Buhari as making the promise while speaking as a presidential candidate at Chatham House, London, in 2015.

But Femi Adesina, spokesman of the president, was quick to dismiss the rumour, describing it as a new twist on the part of mischief makers.

“The comments are a new dimension in the plot to diminish the stature of President Muhammadu Buhari before millions of Nigerians who love and adore their president. Fortunately, the Chatham House lecture of 2015 is in public domain. The concoction by haters and agents of disunity is not part of the text of the lecture at all,” Adesina had said in a statement issued on Wednesday.

CLAIM: BUHARI SAID AT CHATHAM HOUSE THAT HE WON’T SEEK MEDICAL TREATMENT ABROAD

Buhari was alleged to have asked: ”What is the difference between me and those who elected us to represent them, absolutely nothing. Why should the Nigerian president not fly with other Nigerian public? Why do I need to embark on a foreign trip as a president with a huge crowd with public funds? Why do I need to go for a medical trip abroad if we cannot make our hospital functional?’

During the president’s visit to Chatham House in 2015, there was no discussion around him treating himself in Nigeria or overseas.

The health-related issue was on how Ebola was tackled, and Buhari said: ”I think health is one of the areas that had been allowed in those 16 years we have had to deteriorate. The life, especially in the rural areas is pathetic. And because of lack of basic facilities in the rural areas that aggravate the movement of able-bodied bodies to population centres and that has increased the rate of crime because of lack of jobs, lack of facilities, lack of even basic things to survive; So, I think APC government has done a lot of studies and our manifesto has consciously looked at this.
