If he had waited for a few more months or take the approach of some people who said they would have done if "systematically" he wouldn't have been able to do it and that would have been disastrous for the economy and Nigeria in general.

It's better he had left the fuel subsidy intact. It would stop borrowing but we are borrowing more now. The money saved from subsidy has been claimed to be given to the governors who relooted it. The sufferings and hardship occasioned by subsidy removal are too much compared to the pains payment of subsidy was bringing to Nigeria because since the removal of fuel subsidy all economic indices remains the same and even worse in some quarters, so it was better he allowed subsidy remains. Someone who knows the economy better would have reposition things and still remove the subsidy without much effects on the citizens and the economy

Yes. Nigeria need people like Tinubu.

My problem with him is the bigotry of his tribesmen.

It is easy to be brave when you have institutionally and corruptly insulated yourself from the negative consequences of your own terrible decisions.

By the way, can you remind me again the difference in official and parallel rate During Tinubu and Buhari period?

During Emefiele time, you keep artificial rate of N400 which normal market sell at N750. You are burning your reserve just to drag naira doen. Construct that to now when both official and parallel rate are almost the same thing +-N20.

Mind you they N20 is the premium for them getting you the $ and it’s very normal.

What you don’t know is bigger than you. I know many of you are beclouded by hate and the pathological inability to stay on the side of the truth. Once you don’t like a person, everything he does automatically becomes a problem. Why aren’t you questioning why no president has been able to do it? Why had none of those who ruled in the past have the liver and willpower to make a decisive decision to end the scam? If that fuel subsidy was removed by someone like Obi, Pastor Yemi Osinbajo or even Buhari, Nigeria would have been engulfed by widespread protests upon protests, not because the people hated the policy but because those few evil elites benefitting from the scam would immediately instigate the people against the government but they know the new sheriff in town is a mafia boss and not someone you can try nonsense with and this is why it’s no exaggeration when we say President Tinubu is the bravest President Nigeria has had. We know this irritates you but it’s the truth and there’s nothing you can do about it. Man’s got the balls of steels. His harsh decisions are something weak people would rather do only during their 2nd terms in office because they all know the risks attached to offending these evil men in your first term in office.
