The convoy conveying the remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Daura, Katsina State for final interment.

The convoy left the Katsina airport after Buhari’s body was received by President Bola Tinubu on the tarmac.

The presidential jet conveying the body from London touched down at the Katsina State airport at about 2pm.

The remains of the former President was accompanied from London by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and family members.

Buhari died in London Clinic on Sunday at the age of 82 where he was treating an undisclosed illness.

Following the news of his death, Tinubu had dispatched Shettima to London to accompany the remains back to Nigeria.

The immediate past president will be laid to rest according to Islamic rites in his residence in Daura.

We came with nothing we leave with nothing.

When others say " fix your country and hold your leaders accountable" it's translated as hate speech and xenophobia. If you took that advice, you wouldn't be witnessing this kind of embarrassment. A whole former president of Africa's said biggest economy dying in a foreign hospital? .

Both citizens and leaders japparing or going for medical tourism ?😂. Like seriously? How is this normal. A supposed giant of Africa with a president that cannot wait to tell the world he is going to rest in a foreign country every 3 months....like ,seriously? .
