I lost myself into the addiction of coke and Pepsi for years..... The funny thing is most people didn't know I was battling my biggest demon as no one sees anything bad in coke or Pepsi. But deep inside, my sugar level was not having it.


Glad I broke free sha. I stayed off carbonated drinks totally for the past 7month now. Just blended fruits and water. To top it all, I won't even take chemicalized products.

This might not hold water to many of you, but masturbation no even hold me like the coke did as I cured that immediately I had a steady partner.

I have never started anything I cant stop. Name it I have done them all and stopped at my own volition.
I smoked Indian hemp and stopped when I was almost caught by my mother and I knew she would be heart broken. The fear of disappointing her was too much so I quit.
I was also introduced to gambling and after my friend who introduced me sold his car to bet, I borrowed myself sense and stopped before I get to that stage unfortunately my friend is still stuck there.

Alcohol too was stopped cos my wife dislike it and I did that for her.

It's nice to be back on here really, a lot of changes have happened on this great platform.

I dropped a thread a few years ago about how I was able to stop smoking a few years ago, check my profile.

Now, I've been thinking lately about how I was able to stop that addiction and how I never looked back. Recently I stopped gambling too it's been 9 long months without giving my hard earned money to bookmakers. I'm wondering if other people find it this easy to quit a bad habit.

I hate to admit that I find myself addicted to a lot of immoralities and I've taken it upon myself over the years to TRY to QUIT these things. Recently I stopped watching porn I started at the beginning of this month so far so good, though I get the strongest urges to go back into watching porn, eventually the urge might win but for now I'm winning.

So Great minds, have you ever been addicted to certain things and have you been able to quit? If yes Drop some tips for those still struggling?

Everyone here commenting doesn't know they have one or two addictions . Phone can be an addiction, always on your phone.
Some has addiction to movies,Some music. You put ear piece for the whole day in your ear listening to worldy music. Some are addicted to women, some men etc. Some are addicted to reading . I have seen a guy run mad in school from too much reading. Stop feeling like you are free , all of us are in bondage.
