A 32-year-old woman, believed to be the suspect’s wife, also received serious but not life-threatening injuries in the incident.

i stay in canada. And it does not correlate. If you apply for permanent residency or student visa and meet the requirements you will qualify. Those cases are asylum and Canada has always penalized people who belong to armed forces known for human rights abuses. Maybe you are not smart enough 😂

The Nigerian man is obviously a monster and he must be put in prison like all other killers. He is responsible for his actions no matter what happened. He is a killer. Period!

People break up and divorce everyday, hardly does it lead to murder . He must be sent to prison for a very long time

Honestly Canada needs to do re-orientation for the married men that are relocating to Canada with their wife and kids especially in Anger management, Conflict resolution and the realization that in the West - the woman is placed ahead of the man unlike in Nigeria where the man is lord of the manor.

Those men should learn the ways of where they decided to run off to. Canada didn't call or force them to come, they left their "royal palaces" on their own and therfore they must humble themselves to the ways of the host community or move back home 🤷‍♀️

Some of you come from very toxic homes and you know your parents are wicked and mentally unstable. But you pretend they are normal to your spouse. Not everyone was raised in toxicity or has the tolerance for such. Know your spouse and move accordingly.

Also, if In-laws are destroying your marriage and your spouse cannot stand for you, please walk away from the marriage and don’t let anger take away your freedom.

A lot of Nigerians, especially men, are yet to fully get it into their thick skulls that it's not business as usual abroad.

Things you easily got away with or received a slap on the wrist for in most parts of Nigeria will land you in serious legal wahala abroad.

Things like:

- Domestic violence
- Maltreatment of your spouse
- Inappropriate sexual references or soliciting
- infidelity
- Inappropriate sexual conduct like touching

I get what you're saying. But he isn't the only person going through whatever he was going through....yet he chose murder. And he should be held responsible for his actions and not pitied . There are millions of people out there in bad relationships or marriages and they don't murder people,they walk away and he didn't. No excuses here. He is a criminal.

It is the fault of the wife. She didn't manage the relationship between her husband and her mum very well. She must have been feeding her mum with wrong information about her husband. Some mother in law can be difficult and even behave as if they are the wife. God help us to control our anger in these times.
