I see this has been answered, Don't worry, they will tell you to resubmit, happened to my wife, Visa was stamped, COPR given, we landed and we were asked to resubmit another one while in Canada. We did take one inside Canada and mailed it with Canada post, PR card was issued..
thank you so much, I've gotten my passport back too, guess they would ask for another. Thanks for the response

You do not need a transit visa if Frankfurt is your only stop over before you enter Canada. But yes, if you're transiting through more than one Shengen country

My Profile:
I have a B.Sc in Microbiology. Second class lower. No other higher degree. I have 4 years Biology teaching experience. My other business hustle so far is my online business as a forex trader.
I am 34 years, single too.
My question is this: What is the best advice to travel to Canada. Should I go through school or Express entry.

Hi everyone,

I’m asking this question on behalf of my younger bro. He is a lawyer but is presently teaching History in a secondary school because he has not been able to find a good job. Is it possible for him to use this for IRCC without an education degree? He has evaluated the law degree, written ietls (L:9, R:8, W:7, S: 7.5)

Thank you

Please i dont know if this is true.
Someone said the rules have been changed.
That now if you get married after copr has been given.
And u plan to now move to canada with ur newly wedded wife.
That they will recalculate the score.

Yes, he can use the teaching experience for his Canada immigration profile, even without an education degree — as long as the job was paid and full-time, and his duties match an eligible NOC.

He may not qualify under the “Secondary School Teacher” NOC (41220) since that usually requires a degree in education. But he might qualify under “Teacher Assistant” (NOC 43100) or another similar NOC, depending on what exactly he does at the school.

correct me if I am wrong but yes Law degree is a social science so with 43100 - Elementary and secondary school teacher assistants he is good

He should be in the pool and hope he gets called all the best

Hi everyone, please i have concerns and worries about my application
AOR dec 17 2024
bil/mil 5th February 2025
eligibility passed February 20 2025
since then, it's been crickets from IRCC, I have a job offer and attached this with my application yet no speed at all. GCMS shows no issue, ready to finalize. VO is Sydney//Nova scotia. has anyone experienced anything similar? how can I mentally cope as this wait is affecting me really bad.
On this I’ve gotten 2 ghost updates now, bust still waiting for FD, any advice or anyone with such experience?

Maybe your visa officer went on vacation/maternity leave 😀😀.
Your options are limited.
One call IRCC and ask for update. Each ircc calls makes the agent leaves a note on your file.

Also Send a compassionate letter via webform appealing for finalising your application. State how your plans is stagnant especially as you’ve told your current employer you’re leaving as you have a job offer already in Canada.
How you look forward to settling in Canada and contributing to your potential community in your little way.
How the delay affects your mental health blah blah blah…be creative and convincing and hope for the best.
Cheers!

"Federal government and the Provinces are quarreling" Hi, could this be the reason behind the delay for those of us in the EE via PNP outland category? At this point, it's two months post-FD and no mail yet.
GraciousWords:
This is my old mantra but still relevant in the changing landscape.

Federal government and the Provinces are quarreling....kind of - result is a few PNP draws with less than 1,000 being called at each draw.

Canada is a very compassionate country... honestly..... so they are trying to accommodate CECs as much as possible - result is a few more CEC draws compared to General.

Even CBDs draws have been few and far between.

The largest consistent draws over the last 2 years with the lowest CRS score have been the French draws.

My advice remains - bite the bullet & learn French (additional CRS points wise and money wise) - not easy at all but it's the most rationale choice now if you look at the options coldly.

With French you'll still be ahead in 2 years time than someone who went to Canada as a student and completed a 1 or 2 yr degree, has 1 year Canadian work experience (CRS grid facts) and you'll spend far far far FAR less money - student POF (excluding tuition & travel fees) is no joke.

There's always the chance of a miracle but prepare like there's none on the horizon. Stay hopeful, pray that the odds will favour you more often than not, but please do the needful.

#Learn French
#YouGotThis
#YouCanDoIt

Life is indeed beautiful here, sometimes stressful if you have young children and very expensive!

PS: I'm not a French tutor, but there are a few options that others have used over the years on the TEF thread...link here:

Hi, is this even a possibility that they went on leave and didn't hand over to someone else?
Also, is it a different set of agents (apart from the IRCC customer care) that receive the webform? Does the webform help in any way? I'm just curious at this point, we've been waiting for 2 months after FD and 9 months and 20 days in total.

Hi, everyone.
Please, is there anyone in the PNP EE category who has gotten their FD?
Or anyone with their primary VO as Vancouver?

Linasbeauty:
Good morning, everyone
Please advise

Our AOR was September 19, 2024
Medicals passed: December 5, 2024
Our biometrics have also been done
We got a pre-arrival services letter on February 3, 2025.
We finally got our FD and tracker updated with CoPr details on May 8, 2025.
No PPR/RFV mail yet, and it's now almost four weeks since then.
It's been more than 8 months now in total.

Any other person with the same experience?
Please advise.
Thank you.

Hello,

I would advise you do all you can to allow your wife to focus on passing her "relevant" exams and your family will be happy you did in the long term. Note: depending on her profile, she would need to find out what exams are "relevant" for her pathway to practice in Canada, as the requirements vary in different provinces depending on whether she completed Family Medicine Residency in Nigeria. This pathway is smoother, with fewer exams required.

If she did not do ANY residency training in Nigeria or any other country (as there are Specialist pathways for other specialties other than Family Medicine), that would mean she would have to apply for residency in Canada as the only other pathway to practice in Canada. The exams required for this pathway are more than the former, and it is competitive, but more Nigerian doctors match these days than ever before; so she should be encouraged and ignore any nay sayers in her circle.

As a last resort, there is the option of writing the UK exams and exploring going to the UK (where it is easier to get Family Medicine Residency / GP Training completed in 3 years and then return to Canada with no requirement to write Canadian exams.

Advise her to ignore anyone who tells her to do any course for an alternative career. If she can study well while working, there are jobs she can do that do not require any course (except CPR certification). Not prestigious jobs, but here in Canada, there is dignity of labor so no one truly cares what you do. The focus should be on making all necessary moves to get back to practice.
Hence my earlier advise that you support her in every way you can, even if it means being the only one working for a short season while she clears her exams, which is possible in 3 to 12 months with laser focus on the prize. She can actually even write the first exam (MCCQE 1) from Nigeria if it is relevant for her pathway to practice.

Once she lands or even before then, she should identify the Nigerian Medical Community (there are several groups) but some groups would require her previous classmates / colleagues who know her to refer her / vouch for her.

There are also some Organizations that are quite helpful and supportive (like AIMGA, BREDIN, etc. if landing in Alberta and several in Ontario) in providing relevant information and organizing study sessions for some exams.

If she focuses and clears all her relevant exams, with God's favor, there is hope. It is never 100% certain that one will match into a residency program on the first try, but it is best to clear all the relevant exams, and then leave the rest to God, as although match rates have significantly improved for IMGs, it is never 100%.

I wish you all a smooth journey in Canada.
Thank you so much, we remain grateful for your insightful advise.

Please, what are the ''If she can study well while working, there are jobs she can do that do not require any course (except CPR certification). Not prestigious jobs, but here in Canada, there is dignity of labor, so no one truly cares what you do''. Please, with the exception of health care, which we are all aware of, what other temp job can she easily be eligible for with her medical degree, without going back to school? Can she be a teacher? or

The advise

Hello Everyone,
My partner and I got confirmed for Canada Express Entry.

We're landing in Ontario on the 25th. 10 days time.

I have been looking for a community that can help with the all the information I need before landing. Spoken to a few friends there already but I'm not sure I have all the information.

I need like a to do list before and during landing at the airport so I don't land and start wishing I should have done certain things before landing or before leaving the airport.

Please share anything helpful. I don't want to miss out any hack or tips.
