Former President Muhammadu Buhari was laid to rest on Tuesday evening at his residence in Daura, Katsina State, following Islamic burial rites witnessed by an array of national and international dignitaries.

His burial, which took place at approximately 5:50 p.m., was attended by President Bola Tinubu; President Umaro Sissoco Embaló of Guinea-Bissau; Prime Minister of Niger Republic, Ali Lamine Zeine; Vice President Kashim Shettima; Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda; National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu; former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; business magnate Aliko Dangote; and other top government officials and associates.

Buhari had passed away on Sunday, July 13, in London at the age of 82, following a brief illness

I hope our politicians will learn one or two lessons from his death and do what is right before it's too late

At least he achieved his long term dream of becoming the president again before he died.
