DealHubNg:There are various types for different scenarios. You need to know what kind of space you want to cover, target clients for it, walls or obstructions on the way, etc to make a good choice. Get an IT guy who is into it to come see your space and the distance between you and the buildings you want to extend to. If its just for your house, any tp-link with WDS is ok. If its gen 2 and you want to do wired expansion which gives your best speed, then you must get starlink Ethernet adapter. |

quick question my people, if you order starlink mini from jumia or konga will it come with free sub bear in mind i am buying it from starlink official store in jumia/konga |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by dustmalik(m): 7:14pm On Jul 13, 2025 |
Tolu181:No, you will need to pay 57k to activate it. If you're in an area where activation charge is mandatory, you will also need pay additional 400k. No point buying Mini in Nigeria, unless you are in an Area where they don't charge activation fee. It doesn't make sense. |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by ask4bk(m): 7:51pm On Jul 13, 2025 |
dustmalik:I also wondered why one will want to go for the mini. Is the mini tied to a specific location too like standard? If not, maybe that may be why one will want it over standard. |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by ask4bk(m): 7:52pm On Jul 13, 2025 |
yemkoguru:Al depends on your home, walls, materials of the above, and other obstructions. One can't just give you a definitive answer |

| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by twosquare(m): 3:23am On Jul 15, 2025 |
ask4bk:Cheaper, portable, easy-to-move around, lower power consumption, and delivers good speed too, of over 100 Mbps |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by HeavenlyBang(m): 7:01am On Jul 15, 2025 |
ask4bk:That's funny because I could ask why exactly anyone would need the larger Starlink models when the Mini exists. |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by twosquare(m): 7:45am On Jul 15, 2025 |
HeavenlyBang:Abi? Either mini or standard, the question is, can you subscribe? The yearly cost calculation makes me feel somehow. |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by yubiman(m): 10:05am On Jul 15, 2025 |

| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by georgee(m): 10:31am On Jul 16, 2025 |
ask4bk:I don't understand. 57K*12= 684K My card detail is on my starlink profile and gets debited monthly.. I don't need to do anything. Starlink does the rest So, kindly explain to me how 57K monthly is cheaper than 684K/year asides time value of money and the stress you go through when starlink debits your card monthly |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by dustmalik(m): 4:13pm On Jul 16, 2025 |
Starlink doesn't offer yearly subscription anywhere in the world. There's a reason for it. |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by twosquare(m): 8:55pm On Jul 16, 2025 |
Konga is offering a discount for Starlink gen 2.
|
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by Tolu181: 10:33pm On Jul 16, 2025 |
georgee:if they do yearly subscription the price will be 570k(2months will be discounted) why yearly is better, after paying that one time you dont have to think about data sub again you channel your focus and money to another thing but monthly, you keep thinking of the next month sub |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by ask4bk(m): 2:06pm On Jul 17, 2025 |
georgee:My point exactly is that paying 57k monthly will be costlier than paying a single fee for a month. |
