Good morning bro.

Please i have a question, I’m planning to apply for a tourist visa to South Africa, and I plan on searching for a job when I get to South Africa. Do you think it will be easier for me to get a Job in South Africa with tourist visa?
Secondly i would like to know which areas in South Africa is good for job seekers, I mean the city they have a lot of companies in South Africa?

Thanks and i hope to hear from you soon sir.

quote author=Africankel post=136045472]1. For a family, you should probably look at 7 days.

2. DO NOT pay for a hotel until you get a visa. I pay for mine because I've been to SA many times and I'm almost guaranteed a visa.

I'll check some hotel and post here for you[/quote]

Firstly they can't issue you a fake yellow card vaccination at port health. That is the designated yellow vaccination for visitors into Nigeria who require yellow card vaccination. Like i said it is #3500. Go with your passport.
Secondly i used my bank statements just write a letter of sponsorship stating you are the bearing financial costs for everyone on your trip addressed to the SA embassy.

For jobs i really don't know. I work remotely and this trip is mainly for my wife and child. Shes going to culinary school while i visit from time to time not live there for now. If you or anyone requires my help just send me an email message via nairaland. I read my mails so i would respond.
Thanks a lot

I will surely need ur help when you get there, pls how I can see ur email address on nairaland?

Secondly, I get a yellow card some years ago at seme border when I was traveling to republic of Benin, the color was yellow,is it the same as the type south africa is requesting?

Thirdly, for documents,do they collect only photocopy during submission and biometric?

Africankel:
You can submit tomorrow, note the following however:-

i. Your online statement won't work. Go to the bank and have them print, stamp and sign all the pages of your account statement. In addition to the reference letter.

ii. Your friend's ID should be certified by the police in South Africa.

If you have the correct documents, and your application is straightforward, it may be granted. Note that your personal and economic circumstances are also factors that'll determine the issuance of a visa.
Thank you so much @Africankel. I checked my status today and it shows rejected and I didn’t get any email on why this was rejected. Please any suggestions on how I can go about resolving this. Thank you

So sorry to hear this. If you are able to see the status, I'm sure there's a way to navigate through. There's definitely a letter explaining the reason for rejection. Additionally, check your spam folder, the email might be there.

Has your passport moved from SAHC to VFS? If it has, you probably should go to VFS today, don't wait for their call or email.

Unfortunately, there's nothing else you can do other than to reschedule your flight.

I also just got the same mail from VFS and it's something I need urgently because I cannot reschedule my flight due to the event in going for.

Africankel:
If the purpose of travel is official and not tourism, send a letter via DHL to the High Commission.

If it is tourism, wait it out. Application processing takes up to three months.
Please can you guide me on how I can send a letter to the high commission.

A sample of the letter and where to address it to please, my visa was rejected because I didn't include my third name during application
