What is there to learn from? So killing a MIL is a solution to conflicts in your mind? I had serious issues with my MIL too when she lived in my home and interfering with my marriage. I sent her away and banned her from my home or I walk away from the marriage. I let my wife know I despised her mother and sent her back to Nigeria.

I am never killing anyone when I can leave the marriage. The guy lacks emotional intelligence if his last option was to kill his MIL effectively destroying his own life. Let's learn to think before acting.

I left a good job to relocate because I needed the foreign passport desperate as a hedge against the uncertainties in Nigeria. Also, traveling abroad is one of the biggest education of my life which will help me in Nigeria. I got asked the same question when I was leaving Nigeria and selling properties as well.

Don't mind the dude, I don't know why some people support violence in marriage. There is no reason on this earth I will stab my wife or MIL. I will rather run away from the home and go enjoy life in Nigeria.

Is there any information on this story that indicates that the man was the sole breadwinner of the family ? .

It's obvious the fight was mother and daughter against the husband.

As a mother or Father, Never take the side of your Son or daughter in any marital crisis if you want to bring peace to their home. it doesn't matter if your child was right or wrong. its very unlikely your child will want to attack you or say anything bad to you.

Learn to blame your child first in the open before trying to make peace. this will give you that enabling environment.

I get what you're saying. But he isn't the only person going through whatever he was going through....yet he chose murder. And he should be held responsible for his actions and not pitied . There are millions of people out there in bad relationships or marriages and they don't murder people,they walk away and he didn't. No excuses here. He is a criminal.

It's the non-Nigerian laws or culture ....it's the wife .....it's family ...it's the wind...it's the neighbor who farted . He’s human. May your patience not be tested after being mentally abused. I have witnessed both sides which is why I covered both sides. It takes a moment of anger and losing your patience just once for this to happen. If people know they have troublesome family members they must protect their spouse from them. If the problem was coming from the wife he would have targeted her when he was alone with her. For him to go after her mother shows she was the target. A lot of Nigerian parents raise their children in a way that they cannot question or caution them. So they have free hand to cause chaos anywhere.
