Recurrent rumors of whether the president was dead or alive, at home or abroad, in Abuja or in Katsina started with Yar 'Adua.

Buhari's own was just Part 2. Some of us watched the Part 1 live.

.......Obasanjo was even the one doing the campaign tours for him. I remember one campaign that Obasanjo called and asked him; "Umaru are you dead?!"

Nigeria's case is like that of a drunk man who is employing a drunk driver to lead him to his destination.

Yar’Adua spent just three years in office, and since his demise, we’ve had eight years of remote governance from Buhari and are now set for another eight under Tinubu. Instead of allocating funds to that empty clinic, wouldn’t it make more sense to spend the money on something else?

I am not tackling that point. I was just responding to your statement to let you know this issue is a recurring issue and that absentee presidency predates Buhari.

With regards the appropriation or misappropriation of funds, what do you expect?
That money does not have 2 heads that will prevent it from being stolen like all the other funds that have been misused.

working with opera vpn

also, it may be an mtn/ isp isue

mtn seems to be blocking different sites by some weird default. Anara was working with my swift connection

also messing with my email

sometimes when it seems mtn is blocking a site, restart the connection [airplane mode on phone]

as long as you arent downloading the free vpns are ok.

You were lucky o; there are places in this Lagos u don't want to be lost and Mushin is certainly one of them.

Just look at those guys in the video with their bloodshot eyes. If day dark small they won't hesitate to dispossess one of his or her belongings. If u try to struggle with them, it won't even cost them a thing to stab u with a dagger.

There's a particular street in Mushin; Akala street that is a notorious for druggs haven. If police dey pursue a suspect, once he runs into that street police will just turn back. It's so bad like that out there.

On Buhari’s Death

By Farooq Kperogi

It has been announced that former President Muhammadu Buhari passed away in London. Anyone familiar with my writings and commentary knows I vigorously disagreed with many of his policies and decisions while he was president. Our differences were deep, and my criticisms unrelenting.

Yet, news of his passing evokes pathos and an inexplicable sense of loss in me. Death has a humbling power. It reminds us of our shared human fragility, our inevitable mortality, and the transient nature of power, ambition, and even resentment.

I am troubled to see some people celebrating or mocking his passing. Death comes for us all. It is indifferent to politics, power, or privilege. We diminish ourselves when we rejoice in another’s demise. Someday, inevitably, our own turn will come. As Charles Franklin once famously said, “No one gets out of this life alive.”

Today is not a moment for bitterness. It should be an occasion for solemn reflection, for empathy with his grieving family, and perhaps an opportunity for all of us to reconsider how we choose to live, debate, and disagree. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un!

When I was narrating the story to my people they asked why I didn't use map to navigate
I told them situation like this if I use phone they may think I am an informant or spy, but how companies they survive such dangerous places because there's one engineering company along the rail trail that have foreigners working there.

Such companies will be paying protection money to whoever is the leader of the gang/cartel controlling the area where their company is located. So anytime they are having their fights they will never touch the assets of the company.

The company would also provide armed escort for the expatrates so anytime go in and out of the premises/area they are always protected and won't be available for harassment.

Na the Nigerian staff must use their head and also pray to avoid falling on the wrong side of town when those boys start their wahala
