Maybe Nigerian women . And again ,Nigerian women in Nigeria...because the ones outside of your system seem to be kicking against the bullying grin grin
women all over the world need to be controlled; otherwise there will be chaos and unrest. The family system in the West is in shambles because they tried to give women all the freedom, and now they are running away from them and looking for African women that have been controlled to marry.

What if there was no problem before ,hence the mother was invited to Canada? What of this Nigerian killer suddenly lost his job and was taking out his frustrations on the wife and the mother intervened and he murdered her ?
You have a point but we aren't privy to the details of the underlying issues that brought about the shooting.

Do men send their relatives that trouble their wives away?

My sis husband brought his younger bro for nysc orientation. Orientation camp finish. She subjected they find a self contain for him(by the way he got a job in a school that offers accomodation).

Oga said after one year,he will leave. 3.5 year now.if she reminds he will say it's not peace of mind.

Young guy will eat and "forget" plate in the dining. Doesn't help with chores or contribute anything. Dishes his food himself.

Oga refused to send him away
Marriage is unique to the individuals in it.

She understands her husband and knows why she let him stay this long but when it gets to her neck, she knows what to do through her husband.

When a union becomes toxic, please walk away!
When an association is such that makes you lose your right senses, please walk away!
When a marriage gets to that level of 'either you kill me or I kill you', please walk away!
When a situation threatens your mental health, please, walk away!
When it is either suicide or murder, please walk away!

[quote author=sleek214 post=136094303]Madness is what Nigerians took to Canada.

This is what happens when you support your daughter's misdemeanours and take her side as she tears a man to shreds and renders him helpless and penniless.
RIP to the dead, hopefully others will learn from this one as this isn't the first time this kind of thing happened.

Why didn't the wife take her mum away from her home when she must have seen that her mum and husband don't get along well.
It must have been because of his uncontrollable violent and murderous attitude that he was having problems with his wife and mother in-law in the first place

He should have walked away

When we say marriage is not for children, this is what we mean...
I always remember a friend and colleague of mine at about 10years ago who asked me if I was married and I said Yes. The next thing he uttered was, "Omo you are enjoying o... You will just be knacking anyhow you want!". I just looked at him and smiled, say this one no know anything.
Marry first na... then you will know better. Till now the guy is still single with white beards everywhere, but he relocated to Canada anyway. Good luck to everyone...

I don't know why comprehension is a problem to most of you people. Did my comment suggests in any way that it was right for him to kill the woman? Did you not read where I said that is the last thing I will do , to kill somebody,? How do you understand that? In this life, you either learn from your mistake or someone else mistake.

The moment a woman you are married to tells you that she has lost interest and ACTS ON IT. The relationship is OVER.

Your prior investments?, whether she will change her mind?, what people will say? no longer matters.

All your energy should be invested in detaching yourself as fast as possible because no matter what anyone tells you, it will never end well.

✓ Keeping a woman in your house without going nought takes the grace of the Almighty, let alone being a tenant to your mother-in-law and her daughter in the west.
In your Nigeria alone, it is reported that almost 50% of marriages are run with the woman as the primary breadwinner. Dey there dey deceive yourself with religious foolishness that supposes you will forever be the breadwinner and ruler over your ruler over a woman in marriage. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

2. Again, with foolish nonsense! In many immigrants homes on this side, many married people live with in-laws. Why all of them never kill their own in-law? Nigerians and cooking up the most ridiculous excuses for the most inane are inseparable! 🙄🙄🙄

3. Always blame shifting! 🙄🙄

I left a good job to relocate because I needed the foreign passport desperate as a hedge against the uncertainties in Nigeria. Also, traveling abroad is one of the biggest education of my life which will help me in Nigeria. I got asked the same question when I was leaving Nigeria and selling properties as well.
I think the same applies to me. I'm just lucky almost everything was free.

When your parent refuse to stay in their place, let them stay in their house where they can be free to harass themselves. Don’t unleash them on your spouse. Some of you come from very toxic homes and you know your parents are wicked and mentally unstable. But you pretend they are normal to your spouse. Not everyone was raised in toxicity or has the tolerance for such. Know your spouse and move accordingly.

Also, if In-laws are destroying your marriage and your spouse cannot stand for you, please walk away from the marriage and don’t let anger take away your freedom.

But we are not sure why he attacked the mother-in-law. There is the possibility of she trying to be a peacemaker amongst other positive and negative possibilities.

What makes the new jail better? He is cut out of family, friends, and even life to a very great extent. There's nothing as good as having freedom. Whatever the cause of the trouble is, madam will walk freely while he is incarcerated.
He might be more comfortable with that than staying with the mother in law

Stop disrespecting Nigeria on social media and other online platforms. Homicide cases are not usually buried in Nigeria as you people like to insinuate. If you are doubt, kill one of your loved ones and let's see how easy it is to be buried.
Our prisons are already overcrowded as it is. Do you think it is filled with goats or innocent people?
Read up the story of Senator Fidelis Okoro and his sons. Tafa Balogun was the IGP then.

Then and only then can you possibly broaden your level of understanding. If that's remotely possible.

Guess you are trying to make light of his situation. While he was a free man, he could have walked out of the marriage and be free indeed but now, he's lost his freedom at least for a few years if he gets a good lawyer or for life if he doesn't get a good plea deal. I feel for him and his loved ones though.

Commit the crime, pay the price. You are outside the country and based on that I believe you have a good guess on what might have transpired.

She left the country first as a student and checked out of the marriage. Because she was pregnant at the time, she might not have worked. This placed a heavy financial burden on her husband.

He might have cleared her school fees, funded the whole relocation and kept sending upkeep allowance. He might have liquidated a lot of assets for that hoping to get them back once he settled in Canada.

He finally arrived in Canada and noticed he was used as a conduit to get their first son into the country.

The wife being the primary visa holder means she can simply remove him from her visa.

They got into arguments, one thing led to another and he lost his job. It might even be due to allegations of domestic abuse or poor concentration or incompetence.

He came to the conclusion that he might soon be on his way back to Nigeria with no money and no child.

More arguments.

Learns that his mother in law was aware of the above plot

Loses control

Jail.

I wonder how these people reason as if the man was held at gun point in the marriage. I was in a similar position, living a MIL for about 8 years and we would argue and clash terribly to the extent of exchanging blows, I told my wife she had to chose between our marriage or her mother. I was going to walk away without looking back if the mom continued to stay with us.

No way I was going to commit murder and lose my freedom because of conflict with the MIL.

I had a big conflict with my MIL too sending her back to Nigeria and refused to proceed her permanent residency. No matter what, I would never lose control and end up in Jail no matter what.

Even if my wife or MIL pulls a knife on me, I will run away than take the risk of stabbing anyone. I smile still in control of myself even when angry . Returning to Nigeria is not a bad option.

My parents never lived with me, my wife is the only girl, close to her mom who is single so, she believed she always had to be attached to my wife.

She tried to impose her rules and way of life on me in my house. Tried to spank my children in Canada which is directly against my style of child training.

She is with her daughter gifting more than 95% of the time and I Beverly had access to my wife in my home. She would be on the phone gossiping about my family secrets to other people outside our home. She is a rabid Trump supporter and lived to create controversies.

Even fought with her daughter in my home, my wife had to call me from the car as she could not stay at home.

All in all, it was my mistake for allowing her to stay in the first place so, I have myself to blame in hindsight.
