Lionessza6:women all over the world need to be controlled; otherwise there will be chaos and unrest. The family system in the West is in shambles because they tried to give women all the freedom, and now they are running away from them and looking for African women that have been controlled to marry. |

Tightpussy2024:Marriage is unique to the individuals in it. She understands her husband and knows why she let him stay this long but when it gets to her neck, she knows what to do through her husband. |

When a union becomes toxic, please walk away! When an association is such that makes you lose your right senses, please walk away! When a marriage gets to that level of 'either you kill me or I kill you', please walk away! When a situation threatens your mental health, please, walk away! When it is either suicide or murder, please walk away! |

[quote author=sleek214 post=136094303]Madness is what Nigerians took to Canada. This is what happens when you support your daughter's misdemeanours and take her side as she tears a man to shreds and renders him helpless and penniless. RIP to the dead, hopefully others will learn from this one as this isn't the first time this kind of thing happened. |

Esthered:It must have been because of his uncontrollable violent and murderous attitude that he was having problems with his wife and mother in-law in the first place He should have walked away |

Lucky was already in his 30s and decided to get married to Lydia cox she was already pregnant. Lyday gave birth and everything was going smoothly here in 9ja, I no go lie, I even envy their marriage, cox Lydia dey very welcoming and I never one day hear say them get fight. Year 2022, lucky decided to send Lydia and his son Lucian to Canada, while processing the visa they discovered that Lydia was already pregnant again, hence they were advice to cancel Lucian visa processing. So only Lydia traveled alone. Lydia was now staying with her family member In Canada, but lucky was sponsoring everything, after Lydia gave birth lucky applied for visa for him and his son and they got it. Lucky told me, my bro you know say 9ja no too bam as before that's why I'm relocating for a better life for my family. He sold his fine house, lands in warri and Auchi and 2 cars Lucky arrived, hence he can't stay with his wife family so he rented a good apartment in a good location. He got a job at a hotel and which I don call am several times when he dey work.. he said they normally pay 20-40 cad .. and he works sometimes 16 hours., Sometimes 10 hours But ever since he came to Canada the wife changed, stop cooking, don't want him to touch him anymore. Lucky was thinking he could handle the issues himself, although he reported to his sister's and mom, but the never told me or his brothers, that was his second mistake, cox na man fit calm man down. All men in this house can relate to this Lucky bought a car, cox he carry better money enter Yankee.. but his wife go dey hide the car keys or even drive am go park for her Tunisian friend place, the wife don draw tattoos allover her body, she don belong to oyibo people. Kobojunkie:I don't know why comprehension is a problem to most of you people. Did my comment suggests in any way that it was right for him to kill the woman? Did you not read where I said that is the last thing I will do , to kill somebody,? How do you understand that? Government really needs to do something about the standard of fallen education in this country. |

dokpanefe:In this life, you either learn from your mistake or someone else mistake. The moment a woman you are married to tells you that she has lost interest and ACTS ON IT. The relationship is OVER. Your prior investments?, whether she will change her mind?, what people will say? no longer matters. All your energy should be invested in detaching yourself as fast as possible because no matter what anyone tells you, it will never end well. |

waice6571:In your Nigeria alone, it is reported that almost 50% of marriages are run with the woman as the primary breadwinner. Dey there dey deceive yourself with religious foolishness that supposes you will forever be the breadwinner and ruler over your ruler over a woman in marriage. 🙄🙄🙄🙄 2. Again, with foolish nonsense! In many immigrants homes on this side, many married people live with in-laws. Why all of them never kill their own in-law? Nigerians and cooking up the most ridiculous excuses for the most inane are inseparable! 🙄🙄🙄 3. Always blame shifting! 🙄🙄 |

Fearurcreeator:Guess you are trying to make light of his situation. While he was a free man, he could have walked out of the marriage and be free indeed but now, he's lost his freedom at least for a few years if he gets a good lawyer or for life if he doesn't get a good plea deal. I feel for him and his loved ones though. |

Nnamdipapa:Commit the crime, pay the price. You are outside the country and based on that I believe you have a good guess on what might have transpired. She left the country first as a student and checked out of the marriage. Because she was pregnant at the time, she might not have worked. This placed a heavy financial burden on her husband. He might have cleared her school fees, funded the whole relocation and kept sending upkeep allowance. He might have liquidated a lot of assets for that hoping to get them back once he settled in Canada. He finally arrived in Canada and noticed he was used as a conduit to get their first son into the country. The wife being the primary visa holder means she can simply remove him from her visa. They got into arguments, one thing led to another and he lost his job. It might even be due to allegations of domestic abuse or poor concentration or incompetence. He came to the conclusion that he might soon be on his way back to Nigeria with no money and no child. More arguments. Learns that his mother in law was aware of the above plot Loses control Jail. |

GboyegaD:I wonder how these people reason as if the man was held at gun point in the marriage. I was in a similar position, living a MIL for about 8 years and we would argue and clash terribly to the extent of exchanging blows, I told my wife she had to chose between our marriage or her mother. I was going to walk away without looking back if the mom continued to stay with us. No way I was going to commit murder and lose my freedom because of conflict with the MIL. |

Mentholated:Basically, the same old plot we have all gotten used to at this point in time, right? Rejected by the woman in marriage, he decided to take revenge by offing her, only in this case, he ended up offing his mother-in-law instead. 🙄🙄🙄🙄 |
| Re: Nigerian Man Arrested For Stabbing His Mother-In-Law To Death In Canada by Nnamdipapa(op): 5:41pm On Jul 16, 2025 |
Mentholated:I had a big conflict with my MIL too sending her back to Nigeria and refused to proceed her permanent residency. No matter what, I would never lose control and end up in Jail no matter what. Even if my wife or MIL pulls a knife on me, I will run away than take the risk of stabbing anyone. I smile still in control of myself even when angry . Returning to Nigeria is not a bad option. |

Nnamdipapa:You mind me asking why you guys will argue in your own house? Aren't our parents bind by our rules when they visit our homes? |
| Re: Nigerian Man Arrested For Stabbing His Mother-In-Law To Death In Canada by Nnamdipapa(op): 6:25pm On Jul 16, 2025 |
GboyegaD:My parents never lived with me, my wife is the only girl, close to her mom who is single so, she believed she always had to be attached to my wife. She tried to impose her rules and way of life on me in my house. Tried to spank my children in Canada which is directly against my style of child training. She is with her daughter gifting more than 95% of the time and I Beverly had access to my wife in my home. She would be on the phone gossiping about my family secrets to other people outside our home. She is a rabid Trump supporter and lived to create controversies. Even fought with her daughter in my home, my wife had to call me from the car as she could not stay at home. All in all, it was my mistake for allowing her to stay in the first place so, I have myself to blame in hindsight. |
