Court Acquits Fayose, Upholds No-case Submission In Money Laundering Trial by InfoGuru118(op): 10:29am On Jul 16, 2025
A Federal High Court in Lagos on Tuesday morning discharged and acquitted former Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, of all charges in his long-standing money laundering case brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Daily Watch Nigeria reports.

The court upheld Fayose’s no-case submission, effectively ruling that the prosecution failed to establish a prima facie case against him to warrant further defence.

Fayose had been standing trial on allegations bordering on money laundering and fraud during his tenure as governor.

However, after years of legal proceedings, the court found that the evidence presented by the EFCC was insufficient to sustain the charges.

They steal yhur future, by looting the treasury, then they use technicalities in court to free themselves of any accusation or charges, while yhu and yhur family members continue to struggle to survive......

Yaya Bello will be next in line to be cleared grin

Funny enough, when death finally comes knocking, some clowns 🤡 will invade the internet to accuse yhu of speaking bad of the dead.

Don't worry, keep defending yhur tormentors till yhu go down 6fts unnoticed and unheard of, leaving yhur family members to continue in poverty.

Well, that the court does not find concrete or enough evidence does not mean he's a saint. The success of a case lies in the way evidences are presented before the court. You can truly commit a crime and still go scot free before the judge, at the same time U can be innocent and still be sentenced by the judge, it boils down to the quality of evidence and the presentation at the law court.

EFFC is a mess, they prefer media trial to due diligence. These are the reasons they always lost sensitive and serious case, Instead of them to investigate a case thoroughly, no they will be jumping up and down in the media dancing to the tune of one man behind the scene.
