My name is Saifullahi Abdulmumini Umar. I am 26 years old, physically fit, and highly motivated to join the French Foreign Legion.

I have read a lot online and watched videos, but I would love to hear directly from Nigerians or other Africans who have actually joined the Legion — whether you are still serving or have completed your service.

I want to know:
- What was your experience like during selection?
- What documents did you travel with?
- How did you get to France (flight, visa or another means)?
- What was the training like?
- Any advice you would give someone coming from Nigeria?
