With what I saw yesterday in kastina when Atiku attended buhari burial that man does not look like who we step down for obi Omo as I see crowd chanting sai atiku in the company of el rufai and tambuwal and ADC chieftains walking. Along side atiku how Obi wan take get that ADC ticket he wan vanish am?

Omo Obi 2027 bid is almost gone my humble conclusion is for obi to lobby for the ADC vice presidential ticket and run with atiku as simple as ABC. Make he no listen to any motivational speaker. To be number 2 man for Nigeria no be teeth. Even goodluck step down from his role as Governor as bayelsa to accept vp ticket so obi half bread is better than non.

My humble and sincere Advise sir
Obi does not deserve to be running mate for Atiku again because of the 100% votes in the five SE states that helped ebilokan indirectly win the election.

He should consider himself lucky to be made the campaign DG and maybe SGF thereafter.

jameshankss:
Arguing that Obi’s presidential bid would only work in favour of Tinubu, Soludo said, “Indeed, if I were Asiwaju Tinubu, I would even give Peter Obi money as someone heading one of the departments of his campaign, because Obi is making Tinubu’s pathway to victory much easier by indirectly pulling down PDP.”

Obi, according to Soludo, would only deplete the votes of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and pave the path for an APC victory.

He stated, “The current fleeting frenzy, if not checked, will cost Ndigbo dearly for years. The South-east has the lowest number of votes of any region, but it is also the only region where the presidential race might be a four-way race (it is a two-way race in the other five regions) thereby, ensuring that our votes won’t count in the making of the next president of Nigeria.

AMINDA:
If you're confident that Obi can defeat Tinubu in the South and protect his votes, then he should go ahead and contest as an independent candidate. Tinubu will come third in that scenario. The North is already settled for Atiku and Northerners will friend their votes, plus they have the numbers. Unlike in 2023, Atiku will end up getting enough votes from pragmatic Southerners and Easterners to take him through the finish line. With or without Obi. Obi needs the coalition more than the coalition needs him. Numbers don't lie.
U dnt follow politics at all... Haven't u heard or noticed we running a rotational presidency btw the north and south...?

Try and understand that, Atiku will step down for the southern candidates and support Obi but on condition on a one term tenure

So a few people chanting in Katsina means Atiku has become ADC flagbearer?

As if the whole Katsina attended the burial and joined in the chant.
As if all of Northern Nigeria is now contained in Katsina.

Obi remains the third force so long as 2027 is concerned.
Allow ADC to conduct their primaries first.

Don't bother about Peter Obi and the ADC ticket. Focus on your life first. Whoever emerged the flag bearer, others will support the person.

If Obi was smart, he could have been a VP today, but he single handedly made Tinubu president with his naive political foresight.

He's still young,
being a VP to Atiku is a step closer to the presidency

And can Atiku win alone?
It's not the turn of the North, so Atiku should forget about the ticket.

If Atiku won't step down for Obi, then Tinubu should continue till 2031.

Simple.

Of course, Atiku will buy his way into ADC flag bearer.

...Which will make Tinubu's reelection much easier, as South must complete 8 years before it gets back to the North.

Even an average uneducated Northerner understands this common sense fact!

Atiku is just being deceived by praise singers...!

2031 is when the true contest will commence.

2027 should be the turn of the Igbos. I'm not selfish by this reasoning. In a balanced political scenario, the SE deserves the presidency in 2027. Tinubu robbed his way into office in 2023. May he never succeed again. The only albatross here is Atiku, who's equally greedy as Tinubu. Both old men have nothing tangible in exchange for power. Obi should run on his ticket if the North refused to make a gentleman agreement. And in that case. Tinubu will continue till 2031. Let's fool ourselves together. Period.

I still insist that the surest route to igbo presidency as things stand today is Atiku/Obi ticket in 2027
Atiku will be 80 in 2027 if you know what I mean. And if it doesnt happen the Jonathan way, Atiku can support Obi or an Igbo man in 2035
The North will support either a Northerner OR a Muslim OR an Incumbent OR a combination of 2 or all of these. Sadly you need votes from the North to win Nigerian Presidency
-I expect attacks and abuses

NNtv:
My own is that we, igbos need to be smart this coming 2027 general election. If OBI won't align properly with ADC or APC which is the main political front then we shouldn't vote his LP which is going to eventually lose.

Igbo people have suffered too much on political marginalization. Playing a different tune will only create more enmity and wins us nothing at last.

Obi should align with atiku, even if he loses ADC primary, he should remain there because if he go ahead to follow Aisha Yesufu's advice and run against atiku and lose, then apparently, atiku later wins the general election. The igbo nation will experience another eight years of marginalization coupled with the one we are in already.
This is the first time in my long years on this forum I am seeing a honest and a sensible take from someone from that side about politics in NIgeria. It is a sign of good things to come for everyone in Nigeria.

I don't agree with you,I see that ADC scattering before 2027,there will be many fights there, because many of them wants to be the president..no one wants to be vice
With the type of crowd obi dominated at the last presidential election, if he agrees to be vice to anyone come 2027,he will regret it
let Obi just stay on his own, even if he wins or not.

Whether he contests as president or as deputy, he's not going to smell Aso Rock in 2027. Unless he's invited by Tinubu for one function or the other.

That's why he continues to waste his money and time contesting and losing every cycle.

If he had backed Jonathan in 2015, he would be in his second term by now.

grin cheesy

What rotation is that?

Where was the rotation when ebilokan helped clueless northerner Buhari to make southerner Jonathan a one term president?

If a southerner wins in 2027, why won’t he do two terms like Obasanjo and Buhari?

In any case, the south would have 17 years in office by 2027 against 11 years of the north. So what is the point of the south wanting to be president by then on tribal politics?

edet19892015:
Unless you understand your role in society, you can never make any meaningful contribution.

According to the Greeks, they are three types of people on Earth,
1. The idiots,
2. The tribesmen, and
3. The citizens.

Studies show only 10% of Africans are citizens.
The remaining 90% are either tribesmen or idiots.

1. When the Greeks used the word "Idiot", they did not use it as a curse word.
Idiots are people who just don’t care.
If they sit for exams, they will cheat.
If they are in government they will steal.

An idiot does not care at all, if he eats bananas he throws the peels anywhere instead of putting them in a trash bin.

IDIOTS won't attend monthly neighborhood meetings. They won't pay security dues. They won't contribute to community development. Even when they see or know about something that will harm others in the community they won't report it. When they see/know/have something that will benefit their community they won't share.

In fact, Idiots don't care to register for or vote in an election, yet they complain the most. If they register to vote, IDIOTS will sell their votes for peanuts.

According to the Greeks, some societies have more idiots than tribesmen and citizens.

2. The next set of people are "Tribesmen", these are people that look at everything from the point of view of their tribe.

These are people that believe in you only if you are part of their tribe.
It can be terrible to have a tribesman as a leader, he will alienate the rest.

When the Greeks talk about tribes, it’s not just about ethnicity, they also consider religion, gang membership, group membership, party membership and even cult membership as a tribe.

A great percentage of Africans are tribesmen, because they view everything from the point of view of their tribes. They trust only their tribesmen

3. The last group are "Citizens".
These are people who like to do things the right way.
They will respect traffic light rules even if no one is watching them.

They drive within speed limits.
They respect the laws, and won’t cheat in exams.
In government, they won’t steal.
They are compassionate and give to others to promote their well-being.

Citizens often promote projects that benefit everyone.
The Greeks called this group "The Citizens".

Some countries have more citizens than tribesmen and idiots, others have so many idiots.

A tribesman can become a citizen through orientation.
And an idiot can become a citizen by training and constant enforcement of the law.

But things fall apart if you elect an idiot or tribesman to lead you if he has not been reformed.

Where do you belong? Are you an idiot, a tribesman or a citizen? Reflect on your life.
Reflect about your immediate community, city, state and nation.

Both Atiku and Obi need each other. Don't pay attention to the op. Atiku and Obi will run together again but there's gonna be power sharing between the the two, based on what I'm hearing.

Obi's role is going to be more than going to London to bring back the president.

Meanwhile, Rest on Buhari.
