I didn't follow this story.... Seriously, that whole vacancy stuff was for content? Damn! Something needs to be done about content creation in Nigeria. Geez!

I'm wondering why nobody is sueing him. With a good lawyer they can set him back a few tens of millions in naira.
I guarantee you it won't happen even if they sue him. This is Nigeria, where even those in law quietly want fame. If peller offer them a video shoot and tagging their page name, they'll willing drop the case against him.

Nigerian education has become a mockery, it is the reason why every young teenage is taking content more serious than school.
You go to school and build capacity, time to get a job that will support you to use that ideology you learned, then the system frustrate you.

People say education isn't about getting jobs, while that is true, I strongly believe getting a job should be a primary focus for a reason;

Getting a job isn't about salary, is about putting what you learned into practice, and an opportunity to ease your financial stress as you do better to advance in life.

Unfortunately, our dear national leaders gave peller "man of the year" award last year, for what exactly? For the nuisance he constitute or what I don't know.

While education is a big tool, Nigerian system keeps making it a mockery, and sadly, those in high positions to caution this, has gradually supported the notion.

😢

No, that's not envy. I've always thought he was worth millions in dollars. I sincerely thought he was a billionaire in naira of course. At least being sue for 155000000 naira will reset his brain but wouldn't affect his finances much.

Who are the scholars? Nigerian phd and msc students is what you called scholars?

Those people that build the tools were not Nigerians. Alot of our msc,phd and proffs are usesless to themself, their family and to Nigerian as a country.

Nigerian as a country as unlimited problems we need brains that solve problems not those that seek employment.

The job seekers in question should hire a good lawyer and sue peller for the mockery maybe they might get some millions from him.
You just display your ignorance online. Are you aware that there are tons of Nigerians scholars who are outside the country plying their trade respectfully.

Lol I don't have problem with anybody employing anybody...

But people attributing the poor economy to who's employing them is what I don't understand...

In the West there are Alot of uneducated folks employing people with first class...

If you can't think outside the box then you should be ready to apply for any available job so you don't turn to beggar...

Head to head sef a Carpenter, Plumber, Truck driver, electricians even Vulganizers makes more money than PHD and MSC holder in the West so all this noise about education is what I don't get..

we attribute education to everything in this part of the world.. that once you're educated you must have sense, you must make it, you must not suffer mk everybody Dey play.....
Where did you get this statistics from? This is a very loose comment.

Peller should know that he was fortunate because there is no special skill or talent he is showcasing that is making him money..infact many others better than him in the same social media space are not as lucky. He should remain humble and be thankful for what he has achieved rather than trying to discredit the hard work of others.
Honestly
It is very disappointing 😞

Of course. I'm thinking he done that already as fee for participating in his content. Because if this isn't content, he should know he damaged their reputation for calling them for interview and then videoing them. Even a corporate interview will seek your permission before videoing if they have to video you

sue him for what?

because he wants to interview unemployed youths

did he force them to the place or does he have any contract agreement with them

an employer of labour posted a vacancy, it is up to the unemployed to show up or not.

una never sue employers wey dey own salaries for months, na content creator you won sue.

Where's the proof he employed anybody? Was he allowed to video them without their permission and then go on to upload them on internet. You don't know the gravity of what he did. If a good lawyer handle this case you will be hearing legal terms he broke and wonder where all were coming from. Videoing them without permission is one, uploading them without their permission is 2. At best they will ask for compensation for using their images and settle it out of court.

You are very ignorant. It is this same ‘a lot of MSc, PhD, and Profs’ who if given opportunities outside the shores of Nigeria do great things. Your Nigeria is a burial ground for vision, skills, and hope. And people who think and talk like you are the undertakers, while the government own the burial ground.

an employer has the right not to employ anyone after the end of an interview, where is the law that says you have to employ people if they come for an interview.

videoing them without permission isnt a crime, they are in his office space so he has the right to video them. with what you said, employers shouldnt put cctv in their offices because it violate the privacy of people he employed.

you guys just love to cry foul on everything, the anger is that the uneducated boy is successful and employing graduates.

I am a scholar. Since I graduated from the University, I vowed never to seek employment in government or private establishment.

I engage in writing and I earn comfortably through the comfort of my home.

I just pity our graduates. They supposed to dominate the social media space and earn money through their creativities and not touts who don't know the value of money and education. I pause!
Hi @Wisewriter, I'd like to engage in this. I want to know more about earning through writing.

Can I send you a private message?

I don't want to sound insulting but do you know what's called a disclaimer? Those CCTV don't you find those large disclaimer warning people entering a CCTV covered public space, that there's a camera around here. Do you think it's for people that wants to steal that they are warning off. It's just to win any case later that might arise from such infringement. Or you want to tell me he gave them a disclaimer or consents form. I've gone for an interview that when they needed my picture the guy told me and ask if he could go ahead to snap me. That's permission.

Why would any Masters holder with an ounce of dignity be interested in working for peller?

Did they honestly expect anything different? N500k salaryhuh Reallyhuh

Anyone who went there was hoping for one minute of fame...

Anyone who knows peller should know better.

So if Portable should do the same advert, sane MSc and PhD holders would apply?

If you don't respect yourself first, nobody will respect you.

Sad commentary on what we have become. This mentality has no future, it's on a self destructive course. A generation whose god is money.
It is sad
Indeed sad
More depressing is the fact that a very famous sitting governor of a very economically viable state gave this peller of a nuisance an award,
Ever since that day I have not stopped asking myself what the award is for: influencing youths with bad English or showcasing how two unmarried young youths cohabit?

I no blame peller, we live in a society where evil is celebrated as good , that’s what gave nuisance like peller the effrontery, temerity, impetus and the guts to gather masters degree holders and mock them that education is scam

Where in Nigerian offices do they issue disclaimer that a CCTV has been installed in offices spaces.

I've seen it in Unilag and other places that installed CCTV. They let you know there are cameras around.

Those applicants need to have their Brain checked . They passed through school, school had no impact on them. The lesson here is money should not be your only motivation in a job search.

Lol...I have never seen it before anywhere where disclaimer was written because of a CCTV

CCTV are installed for security reasons, no one will tell you where there security Camara is. Except they want you to see it.

Stop spinning stories out of thin air because you want to win an argument
