Anytime I remember ajaokuta steel and what Nigeria would have stand to benefit from that place, and when I also remember that it was buhari that was the head junta that truncated that very economic viable project,I always shake my head and say, Allah Kara masa nuyi n kasa.

If Tinubu had allowed Jonathan remove subsidy 13yrs ago, who knows, things may have been better for Nigeria. He should take responsibility for the state of Nigeria's economy from 13yrs ago to now.

Nonsense!
President Tinubu gave his reason and that was, “there’s no money left behind for it” and Buhari should have come out and said he left all the money other presidents left behind, but he didn’t. So he knew president Tinubu had no option. I hate talking about the dead but the way you want to use the dead to diss president Tinubu is unacceptable.
Re: What Buhari Told Me About Tinubu After Fuel Subsidy Removal – Katsina Governor by wowcatty: 4:37am On Jul 16, 2025
There was no reason for Jonathan to remove subsidy at the time. Nigeria had a lot of money. Oil was around $140/barrel @3.5m/day vs now that it’s hovering around $50/barrel @1.5m/day. Tens of $$billion in federation accounts and tens of $$billion in excess crude oil accounts. Nigeria economy didn’t collapse like it did in 2022 when people had no access to their money. There was no global recession and there was no COVID that destroyed businesses at the time. So there was no reason for subsidy removal at the time, this is when it’s needed cos president Tinubu didn’t have all that money at his disposal. Nigerians should be thanking president Tinubu for how he has prevented the country from a total collapse.

Now go on Google and type whether economic predictions are absolute. Then come back here to tell me what you see.

I won’t bother to respond to your other texts coz we just keep going round in circles. You don’t have a clear grasp of the discussion so you’re arguing just to feel like you are contributing too.
This is why we've advocated serially that our education standard needs to improve. Look man, the problem you have is English and I'm sorry I have to put you right.
Look at your initial statement again side by side with what you asked Google.
You wrote: "Economic predictions are NEVER absolute."
In consulting Google, you wrote "Are economic predictions ALWAYS absolute"
I hope you can see how far apart both statements are when put side by side.
While your initial statement was sweeping declaration that economic predictions can never be accurate, you went to Google to ask the far opposite.
What is needed to debunk your initial statement is to show whether economic predictions/ forecasts can ever be absolute/ accurate. A 0.2 percent statistics of accurate prediction alone will render your initial statement invalid.
Look below for Google's response. A 23% rate of accurate predictions which is almost a quarter renders your initial statement false.
How can you pass jamb with such poor grasp of English? I suspect foul play

Oil is $50 per barrel now? Nigeria did 3.5m barrels per day in 2012?
Are you serious with these or just trolling
Besides, I hope you're aware that a president that has oil rise to $140 per barrel will pay more subsidy than a president that has oil price at $50 per barrel. So how can this be the right time when we'll pay less subsidy than what Jonathan was paying

What dividends, they were mortgaging the future of your generation by borrowing money to pay for subsidy and chopulating the money along the way to pay for Dino's car collection and Deziani's gold bra.

No, you are the one that don’t understand numbers.

If you have a company, what you want to look out for is your revenue, spending need, and deficit. That’s shows if you are in good standing or not. Most countries have budget deficit, USA own is almost >$1trillion for 2025 but you check that relative to their actual revenue and that’s at 20% approx of revenue:

Based on that metrics I shared, we are in good standing for that 2025 budget compared to 2023 budget.

You can’t handpick when to use the 400/1500 naira rate to your advantage. The main crux is that as at 2025 budget estimate, our deficit dropped drastically compared to 2023.

In 2023, deficit is over 100%.
In 2025, deficit dropped to 30%.

If we continue on this trajectory, by 2027, we can run our budget with little or no deficit coz at that point revenue would be enough to cater for our overall yearly spending.

Are you learning?
It is only someone who is clueless that will make an analogy on public accounting using private business. If a business has a debt to assets ratio of 100% like the US does, that company will be declared bankrupt almost immediately. However, the US debt while large is hardly a problem for them while a country like Nigeria with debt to GDP of less than 50% is always said to be in troubled waters. What gives US the leverage? Currency. That's the big factor you're trying to minimise by claiming deficit is a big issue when it's not
If less budget deficits could solve our problems then Jonathan was doing extremely well economy wise and there was no reason to remove him since he hardly had deficit above 25% of revenue. It is thus hypocritical for same people who removed him citing economic mismanagement to be dancing and calling a party over worse indices
But most importantly, the size of deficit in budgets is determined more by if the budget is expansive or conservative. Buhari ran a more expansive budget because of his efforts in infrastructure and his attempt to ensure that Nigerian civil servants got their due. These at two main factors Tinubu is lagging at.

I don’t think you’ve ever done business or understand the working of businesses. Business can run with over 100% deficit and infact most of them borrow huge loan for capital and are still standing. Most times during their initial first few years. Even during normal years, they can borrow money for expansion that’s over 100% of expected revenue because they will have payment plan to pay over long range of time.

However, the US debt while large is hardly a problem for them while a country like Nigeria with debt to GDP of less than 50% is always said to be in troubled waters. What gives US the leverage? You are saying nonsense again. USA debt to GDP is over 124% of the GDP and Nigeria own is just 38% or so. No one is comparing Nigeria to USA, my comparison put it at 2023 and 2025 data.

Buhari budget is more expansive? What are you smoking? Check the capital expenditure on both budget and come back to tell me what’s up.

So you think the only reason they remove president is because of budget/loan or what? So how does bringing jonathan relate to this argument? Boko haram, corruption, North turn, poverty, lack of infrastructure, and etc are factors in that election and mind you Jonathan made the most revenue of any government since 1999 when you calculate them per year.

Show me example of a company that had debt to asset ratio of over 100% and was still getting loans for capital. It's obvious you don't know what you're saying. The difference between a private business and a govt concern is in one word. Sovereignty. Any debt incurred by govt is basically a sovereign debt which means the debt is bankable against the country's assets which include lands, resources and even the people in some instances. A private business has no such leverage. Again. it is simple economics that anyone with half a brain should understand. Budgeting for a private business and budgeting for governments are miles wide apart.

Your logic was based on debt to revenue ratio. Which is why I brought the US. Always read to understand before making clueless statements. Picking 2023 and 2025 is simply convenient. Go and check the ratio of expansion of Buhari's 2016 budget compared to the 2015 budget left by Jonathan and compare with Tinubu's 2024 budget compared with the one Buhari left him in 2023. A budget being expansive is not just about the capital component alone. It is simply monetary. If you are spending more on recurrent than previous years, it is still expansive. Conservative budgets usually involve a zero sum approach. In real terms to the economy, Buhari ran far more expansive budgets than what Jonathan did and Tinubu is just trying to catch up in real terms. Tinubu's 2024 budget is still running which means the capital aspect has been halved in two in real terms. These are the parameters you look at not to mention the effect of currency valuation.

Nobody cares about your Jamb score. Talk is cheap. People arrange Jamb in this country. You made a sweeping statement that is wrong and I have shown you already with quotes from Havard Business review and the University of Stanford business review as well. So you can go and hug AI to help you think. Your context is not what AI is interpreting. AI is interpreting your question again to answer if economic predictions are ALWAYS absolute. Everyone knows they are not. But to say they are NEVER absolute is factually wrong. A research by Stanford university shows that economic predictions on GDP are ALMOST ALWAYS accurate. These are real research carried out by real scholars not some AI that is just giving you a subjective view. If your intelligence cannot go beyonf what AI offers na you sabi
When you know that Economics is a science why then are you saying it is NEVER absolute. Is science not about accuracy and precision? You are simply disgracing FUTA

Which Havard review? I haven’t seen that.

All those AI, computer data across multiple review and one a better scale, they will outperform Havard or Stanford review which could be subjective. Except if you don’t understand how those AI work.

Are you doubting the above?

Lol real scholar? Where do you think all the OpenAI, Claude, GPT models derive their big data from. Guy this is my field, all those AI model will outperform all those subjective review. Your receive never prove that statement wrong “Economic prediction are never absolute”. This is a factual statement because economics is not pure science, so how do you beat your chest and say this is with maximum certainty?

I think your problem is the “never” in the statement. That never simply means “ there is no situation where economic predictions are guaranteed to be 100% correct“. Are you saying this is wrong?

Why do you think economists say “ All other things being equal”??

That is over 100% of their revenue for the year. That was my argument.

Why companies usually have such scenario and they remain standing is coz most of those companies are in sector that are capital intensive and they need upfront investment in assets and infrastructure.

Again, you've exposed your ignorance which is why I called your attention to the fact that you don't treat public finance the same way you treat corporate financing. Debt to revenue in terms of a private concern is meaningless because a private entity's debts are collaterised with their assets not revenue.
A company worth 500bn can be making 50bn revenue and have 200bn debt. That company is still very solvent and credit worthy because of its assets base.
In the case of public financing, because the spending is more restricted, any borrowing must be backed by law not assets. For example. Tinubu is looking to borrow $21bn. What asset is he going to use? None. Just the name Nigeria and the assent of NASS. Buhari borrowed 30trn from the CBN without NASS approval, got NASS to later approve it and then convert it to bonds. If you run a private enterprise like that you'll most likely lose the company to the creditors. Just ask Dr Hakeem of Airtel and the owners of Discos in Nigeria.
So your analogy is patently meaningless. Use your time to get a better education

This is my Jamb score. You want to drop yours?

Stop talking about AI abeg. I worked on the dataset duration, fine-tuning, and training optimization for one of the transformer based AI model. I know how they work.

You’re adding to my headache. @the bold, aside those those laws are principle and not prediction in the regular sense. Also, it is a lie that they are always 100% factual, there are some area where they don’t apply 100%.

Tech industries is one example. If they are working on big projects, if you have 5 developers and you add more,
productivity per developer will actually increase coz at that stage team members can specialize and divide task more efficiently. So in that case, marginal return are increasing and not necessarily diminishing.

Again I repeat, can you show me proof that says those always are always 100% correct at all times? Even if you check law of diminishing returns, you have assumptions which are fixed input, short-run perspective, and other factors unchanged like worker skill, technology and etc. Why do you think they give assumptions?

Tech industries is one example. If they are working on big projects, if you have 5 developers and you add more,
productivity per developer will actually increase coz at that stage team members can specialize and divide task more efficiently. So in that case, marginal return are increasing and not necessarily diminishing.

Again I repeat, can you show me proof that says those always are always 100% correct at all times? Even if you check law of diminishing returns, you have assumptions which are fixed input, short-run perspective, and other factors unchanged like worker skill, technology and etc. Why do you think they give assumptions?
This kinda looks like an Mmesoma result. Are you in any way related to her? In this age when there are many apps that generate Jamb result is where you want to impress someone with Jamb printout? Abeg rest. I got 323 in my Jamb and I'm not showing you any evidence. I am not Mmesomaic

If you know how AI work then you should know that AI relies on results search from real researchers like Havard and Stanford to generate a result for you. To even begin to say AI result is better than Havard result on a subject is the height of ignorance. AI does only one part of research which is literature review. It cannot carry out methodology nor apply any known theory in generating a result. So to hear a supposed graduate say AI works better than scholars in research is disappointing to say the least.

Every law or principle in science be it classical, contemporary or quantum have boundaries, assumptions and condition. To say the conditions means those theories are not 100% is another shocking height of ignorance from a science graduate. Newton's laws of motions have boundaries. Their boundaries are discarded when you get to wave mechanics and quantum mechanics. Same with Hooke's laws. Hooke's law holds within the boundary of the elastic properties of a material. Even in light theories, there are boundaries. These are all physical laws. To claim that those boundaries mean the laws are not 100% is almost like blasphemy. How much more in a social science where the basic assumption is that human behavior is expected to be rational and there are no external influences?

And your example of law of diminishing returns shows you don't understand the law. If the team members specialize, then they are not increasing workforce for each specific task. You don't understand anything at all. What the law says is that if you have one person whose responsibility is to debug the codes, if you employ 2, their results will improve. If you employ 3 and so on till it gets to a point that you employ one more and change in total output is not commensurate with change in total output when you employed 2. If you employ another person to compile the code instead of one person compiling and debugging, you have not applied law of diminishing returns

Lol, it’s sometimes sad we can’t reveal our real name on Nairaland. Guy, I’ve always been one of the top lad even currently where I work.

Check the last name starting here “OL”. Identical on both document. Check my first choice uni on jamb and course.

Oya show us your own 323 result, whether a mssesoma one or your own with your undergrad transcript like this with last name matching.

If you want the one for my Ind. Eng MSc I’ll give you that too.

For the rest of your statement, you just keep doing round in circles. I think you’re just arguing for arguing sake and you are not the one that will tell me how AI work, that is my area and I work at the highest level in corporate America on that. Do what you will with this info.
