Bertha in his position as Sporting Director oversees Arsenal's scouting, it is in his job description and he has a strong history of scouting players. He infact sends/ directs our scouts to watch players. He did that recently with Ousmane Diomande, defender with Sporting.

I see this video and was impressed. Like you said, Kepa looked like he was keeping up and will be pushing Raya. They are both good with their feet which is good but I also hope they can adapt to kicking out when necessary. It is a pivotal season.
