2027 Warning Shot: 5 Jagaban Moves Every Opponent Should Be Wary Of by eyesoflagos(op): 3:10am On Jul 17, 2025
If you thought Tinubu’s 2023 presidential run was his final boss level — think again. Behind the silence and photo-ops, Nigeria’s political tactician is quietly reloading his strategy for 2027.

And if the opposition isn’t paying attention, they’ll be caught napping while Jagaban strikes again. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Here are 5 tactical bombs Tinubu is cooking beneath the surface:

1. APC Youth Rebranding — A Gen Z Trap?

Forget agbada politics. Tinubu is repackaging APC with youthful, tech-savvy, slay-smart branding.

New blood is being planted in government and media.

Youth-focused policies (loans, jobs, digital economy) are being hyped across channels.

Even street slang is seeping into official communication.

It’s the Gen Z seduction, but behind the vibes is the same old control. Jagaban is speaking their language now — but he’s still holding the remote.

Translation: Opponents stuck in analog politicking will lose the TikTok war.

2. South-South Infiltration — Operation Oil Base

Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom… these states are getting massive strategic attention.

Pro-Tinubu foot soldiers are quietly gaining influence.

Federal projects are suddenly finding their way to oil-rich zones.

Ex-Niger Delta militants are being re-engaged under new arrangements.

This is not a coincidence — it’s calculated. Jagaban wants a stronger South-South alliance come 2027.

Watch out PDP — your stronghold is under construction… from the inside.

3. Internal Purge in APC — The Silent Sweep

Dead weight in APC? Tinubu is clearing them out like last season’s campaign posters.

Disloyal leaders are losing access.

Obsolete faces are being replaced with agile, media-friendly figures.

Key state chapters are being “restructured.”

By 2026, only street-relevant, Jagaban-loyal warriors will be left standing.

Opposition beware: You may be fighting a leaner, meaner APC 2.0.

4. Reaching Across Religious Lines — Healing the Muslim-Muslim Scars

The Muslim-Muslim ticket in 2023 created a national headache — and Tinubu knows it.

He’s now:

Reaching out to major Christian blocs.

Making moves with faith-based influencers and church networks.

Funding interfaith initiatives to reset his national image.

This isn’t PR — it’s groundwork. The goal? To neutralize religious weaponization before the next election.

Translation: No room for “he’s not our faith” narratives in 2027.

5. Media Machine 2.0 — TikTok, Threads & Trolls

Tinubu’s media strategy is evolving — and it’s fast.

Expect:

Pro-Tinubu TikTok influencers with funny, relatable skits.

A surge of Instagram & Threads narratives rewriting his image.

Targeted digital campaigns that feel less political, more cultural.

From podcasts to parody pages, his digital army is getting smarter, younger, and very online.

2027 may not be won on the ballot — but on your “For You” page.

Final Warning to Opposition Parties:

The Jagaban playbook is no longer conventional. While others are forming coalitions on paper, he’s forming movements on the street and in your algorithm.

If the opposition doesn’t upgrade from press statements to strategy, Tinubu may walk into 2027 with less stress than he had in 2023.

Dear op, I acknowledge your points, thanks for putting them together.

But the truth is this; Tinubu's overall performance has been abysmally poor.

Inflation destroyed Nigeria's economy and wiped out more than 85% of Nigeria's booming middleclass population such that most middleclass Nigerians had to gather whatever they had left to flee Nigeria to:

UK
Canada
US
European countries
and even to African countries

Next is hunger; cost of ordinary goods and commodities are high in the market, making it so difficult for average Nigerians to survive, and its worst in far Northern region where Tinubu got most of his rigged-votes in 2023.

Youth unemployment has become a full time national menace since Tinubu became President. More and more Nigerian youths have become jobless and poor.

Despite all these negative effects, Tinubu kept on churning out more anti human policies in the name of tax and government indirect levies/taxes on goods and services.

Customs duty have been increased severally under Tinubu's regime alone and we are an import dependent nation still struggling to find our feat locally, how do you expect general commodities and goods to become affordable in the market with those constant increase in customs duties? Check how much they are using to clear cars now, do we produce enough cars locally? What is the hope of an average Nigerian or civil servants acquiring a second hand car with the current custom duty on imported cars plus high exchange rate?

Bank charges increased.
Telecom increased their tariffs
Nepa abi PHCN increased theirs

How do you expect Nigerians to cope with all these astronomical increases that came almost at once?

These are the things Nigerians will consider during 2027 Presidential election. Yes Tinubu's strategies will do some work for him but it wont be enough to win him a reelection brother.

Atiku have inadvertently inherited Buhari's Northern support base if you don't know. Northwest and Northeast are gone to Atiku already.

The battle now is within:

Northcentral
Southsouth

Southwest belongs to Tinubu already.

Southeast to Obi.

If Atiku and Obi find a way to work together, Tinubu is gone for real.

The only thing that will give Tinubu some advantage in 2027 is if Peter Obi loses the ADC Presidential ticket and refuses to deputize Atiku and leaves ADC to contest under another party, that will give Tinubu a chance but Atiku will still be on the lead because of block Northwest and Northeast votes while Southern votes will be divided

When you tell a lazy employee that you will disengage him, he will wake up and be useful. If he corrects all the we have been clamoring for, then it's a win-win for the nation. We should focus on delivery, not who wins.

The only people that will buy this your TikTok strategy are people without families and that don't buy rice and fuel in Nigeria.

A lot of these campaign online agent are young men, who just left school and were trained for media influencing. Else how can you not see how bad things really are.

Definitely, your hardworking parents don't know you are the one doing this right now.

Five entire items on the list and all of them Greek gifts to the citizen, those whose votes actually count. There is not one which is a flawless, or even decent win for the average Nigerian voter.

Musa Yar'Adua and Muhammadu Buhari are dead and gone now; both received and are receiving farewells on both extremes.

Any leader who that does not inspire is living in a fool's paradise.

Gbatists still have their heads buried in the sand. You all are living in lala land and have refused to face reality. Tinubu is grossly unpopular across the country except maybe in Yorubaland.

There are many youths serving in PBAT's cabinet unlike previous administrations.. from Minister of Interior to Communications and Digital Economy and so many.
You can see the innovative ideas they are bringing up to change things. That's a smart leader with interest of youths at heart.

You people cannot predict TINUBU GAMEPLAN.
Let me give you hint then connect the dots.
Abure, LP, Wike, PDP, North East, South East, Votes, Divide, Atiku, Obi, ADC.
Full Stop.
If you can connect the dots then you know the game plan. If you want to argue, no need, I give up, you win.
Thanks.

Stop the sentiments and face reality, once you step-out of Lagos State, you will feel the reason why PBAT is an OTP.

PBAT through his handlers has promoted the most divisive Government with a stint of tribe sentiment.

The North can't vote for him same with the S/S you dream of and the Igbo's.

He will be reduced to a Yoruba and Southern Kaduna President.

You forgot to add INEC and judiciary? The only two determinants.

So It is not his performance that will speak for him? It is not his campaign promises that will speak?

Y0u guys rely on propaganda, coercion, manipulation etc to win?

In all he wrote, he never mentioned delivery on promises and any positive achievements.

So these are what you want him to do for you? How will these improve economy, health care, education, security, bring employment, etc?

Will building roads and house for you remove hunger and despair in the land? So what you wrote are what you seek? Despicable!!

The battle is between Tinubu and Atiku, the South might likely align with the Southern zoning stuff leavving Atiku stranded and Tinubu will get appreciable votes in the North west and north east with factors such as Kwankwanso parlying with Tinubu!
