PuZZyNegro:But can you break down how one should charge, based on the KM of the journey? So that I know how much to add ontop of the amount for a trip that indrive brings. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by sandammy(m): 10:32pm On Jul 15, 2025 |
Pearl1910:Not different amount. Same amount but different price/KM. The closer you're to the rider, the juicy the price /km |

Biodun1929:If you do this full-time, ₦450, ₦500-₦550 should be your benchmark. Some people only consider the time it will take them to complete the trip and not how far the journey is. Someone like me that drives only on Sundays when I have time, I'm very selective and don't do much trip so I calculate based on price/km So you need to decide for yourself

sandammy:38k for 46k kilometers covered total is great. Thanks for this comment. |

Biodun1929:I use Bolt pricing as a yardstick. I do more of Bolt than Indrive, as a result, I make sure any trip I'm taking on Indrive is way higher than what I can get on Bolt. The reason is because, under some certain circumstances like traffic, waiting, noticeably longer route, etc., the price on Bolt may change, that's not the same on Indrive. So I factor those into consideration before bidding. In fact, most of the time, I don't bid on some requests because the highest amount that is available doesn't meet up to my minimum acceptable price. So, it's not always how much you can bid differently from what the rider put, since there's a limit to the maximum bid amount, but whether the maximum price is worth your time and effort. |

sandammy:38k plus on just 7 trips is great. However, for a regular driver, price/km is not a sole determinant of a good trip. Some short trips can pay you 1000/km yet they're a total waste of time. Also, for Biodun1929, you have to look at the general condition of the market at any point in time. During rush period when rider to driver ratio is higher on the rider side, and it's surging on Bolt, you have to aim higher. Because even the riders use Bolt to decide how much they will accept on Indrive. |

Biodun1929:You wan dey add money ontop predetermined fares by useless app coys Be ready to stay one place for hours cos riders go just dey cancel 😂 |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Pearl1910: 7:43am On Jul 16, 2025 |
sandammy: Glithronix:Okay, I get . This helps people who don't know what to expect or how to charge. Truth is if a good trip enters, before u start looking at amount per kilometer, ogbologbos would have picked d trip already. And u will stay in one place for long looking for trip. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Pearl1910: 8:07am On Jul 16, 2025 |
If u want to do well using Indrive, then at every given time, analyse your position and know how much is good from where you are to at least 3 locations of your choice. So that when the trips to those places pops up, u can speedily accept or reject based on ur predetermined minimum acceptable fare. E.g if I am in GRA, I only want to go to 1. within Ikeja, 2k 2. Ogudu, gbagada, Alapere, Magodo, 5k 3. Yaba/Surulere, 6k 4. VI/Ikoyi, Lekki phase 1 8k I would have checked traffic situation and fixed in my head. If u are the type that likes going to Ijesha, Ago, Festac, Egbeda, Igando, Abulegba , Meiran, AIT, Abijo. Do the same thing and u will see ur apprehension will reduce. Don't be greedy, immediately u see a fare that satisfies ur minimum price u pick it immediately. No time to be checking time of trip, distance, amount/km and all that. Turnover is better in d long run. If u keep waiting for the juicy trips they will all pass u by then at the end of the day u will start taking nonsense trips just to meet up. Best way to operate Indrive is good short trips or medium trips. Long distance trips rarely make sense. Someone will be putting 12k from Ikeja to Sangotedo. 15k to Abijo. Meanwhile VI is 8k. Is it not better to do VI and back than to be going to Sangotedo? It's even better to do Ikeja to Yaba, then Yaba to VI than to be waiting for VI straight for 8k. |

Pearl1910 Thank you, sir. But those short-short trips of 2k and 3k, they're a taboo for me. 4k trips self, na if I wan escape a particular location and should be less than 15 mins trip. Much respect, boss. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by SHOOPSYN(m): 9:31am On Jul 16, 2025 |
Pearl1910:Succinctly put boss. That is the golden rule 1. One way or the other, you will learn all these things without been told, you just have to be very calculative. But one of the major problem of Indrive is the 9-5/per time car owners, they picked anything pickable just to cover for fuel, couple with the desperate drivers. I really feel for Indrive drivers sometimes, the prices is simply slavery, even on Bolt if you are not patient. Bolt will test you. And there are sometimes, out of frustration ,you just want to leave the area. Meanwhile, Bolt not showing some trip destination again, what are you guys up to. I just assumed those trips are outer ring, so I don't pick them. Unfortunately, some are not. I checked one and it was Island trip. Pained me . @Glith, please you guys should create a 'permanent' hiding of trip on Indrive. Some trips needs to be permanently hidden till Jesus comes. The theory of time and KM depends on a lot of factors. During the recent Bolt surge lockdown, I did a trip to Yaba 3 times with 9/10k net. Picked 2 of them from Bonny camp roundabout, last one from Mobil, Ahmodu and close. Imagine driving 10/12km empty to island with just 15 minutes drive. Glith theory of time over km depends, but it works if most part of Lagos is a bit free. But lately, these apps are hell of a app. Not encouraging to open them. But man must survive. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Biodun1929(m): 10:00am On Jul 16, 2025 |
dav1002:I don't do that on Bolt, but I got a new car, and haven't gotten the car inspected, so I couldn't use Bolt. But with indrive, the switch was so swift...within minutes. That's why I'm using indrive for now. And you know indrive bring ridiculous priced trips sometimes. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Biodun1929(m): 10:05am On Jul 16, 2025 |
Pearl1910:Thanks a lot for this breakdown. I would have never thought Ikeja to VI at 8k is a good price though. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Pearl1910: 10:50am On Jul 16, 2025 |
SHOOPSYN:Bolt is just evolving backwards, I am not championing any app again. Anyone that works for me, I use. Infact if I can convert the trip to offline I will. Cos there is an adage that says pikin wey no fear shit to bike him mama for yash, him mama go bite am for nose without the fear of carther😁 The app coys are allowing ridiculous fares, at same time trying to deceive drivers to pick them by hiding destination or real traffic situation, so therefore drivers must also use unconventional methods to operate and survive. In my early days 2017/19 if I find myself in gbagada, surulere or Yaba by 4.30 I will blow empty to VI or CMS to pick trips on surge. While other drivers will be waiting for hours in a residential area without trip. So it's not bad if u drive far for pickup provided the trip is worth it. Better to turnover and meet your target than go home short because u were targeting juicy trips. |

Biodun1929:That's d reality we find ourselves now o. Bolt is giving 8k-9k. Minus commission u are left with less or same thing as someone doing 7k on Indrive. |

Eyinola1:Some drivers go pick even the worse. ![]() Drivers wey dey pick 1.2k trips go gladly pick those trips you circled. 😁 However, let's remind ourselves, though, indrive isn't a naira/km app. Do you still remember say indrive no dey indicate the naira/km tags on their app before? As at then, it was purely time and price - not until late 2023 or early 2024 that they started showing the naira/km on orders. Even, those times, they would remove that N/Km tags for some days, and return them after, until now that they have left it permanently on trips. Indrive is fixed, Naira/Km isn't for them. I don't know why they even put it on trips self, cos e no even count. Look at this screenshot for instance, those with naira/km target would gladly pick it, according to them, but to me as a time management actor, this is totally trash of all trashes. Well, the Koko na to make the profit. The fares generally are a complete trash. Much respect, boss.

Good morning brothers. I have been running up and down on this matter. I went to the military police office on that Monday. Before I got there, they have already discussed with the soldier that seized my car What they told me is that I should go and find the man I signed agreement with and settle with him, that is not the soldier that gave me car. They were protecting the soldier, like they didn't see anything wrong in him seizing the car from me. Meanwhile, yesterday my lawyer still called and spoke with my partner and the man told the lawyer that he can't give me back the car. Now, my lawyer have decided to petition AIG zone 2. He will prepare the letter this morning immediately he gets to the office. He said for the letter to be approved in zone 2 is N50,000 and I will pay for mobilisation, he has not told me the amount for mobilisation. So that's is the current situation of things as at this morning. Please o, anyone that have link to any car I can get to hustle make una link me up. I need to be working and getting some money while this case is going on. |

Doris4ever:What exactly did your partner complain of , what's his reasons for not giving you the car back. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Doris4ever(m): 9:02am On Jul 17, 2025 |
Donphilex:He's telling everyone that I have been defaulting. Whereas am not owing him. I started paying 29th July 2024 and my last payment was Monday 7th of July 2025. I have paid N80,000 for 50 weeks making a total of N4,000,000 before the car was retrieved last week Thursday. I have all my receipts for the 50 weeks payment which I have arranged in a PDF file for anyone to verify my claim. |

Doris4ever:If that's his reason, then he has no right to retrieve the car, ask your lawyer to sue him and he will be summoned for court hearing... |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Nobody: 1:09pm On Jul 17, 2025 |
Eyinola1:.. E fit be all those riders wey like to dey play with the app, nobody will deliberately want to pay 50k for 17mins ride. |

Omoapena:Court is last resort. Una just dey talk sue and court as if u have Waka court case before. Do u know how long it will take d courts to resolve this matter? |
