Igbos need to stop this nonsense.

This whole idea of going to another man’s land and declaring yourself a king is just not on.

Why antagonise your hosts?

This is not Igbo tradition.
The issue is not with the Igbo people; it's with those who are deliberately spreading false narratives, the mischievous ones.
The man in question never declared himself a ruler or king over Ghanaians — he's simply the leader of the Igbo community in Ghana.
His title "Eze Ndi Igbo" literally translates to "King of the Igbos in Ghana or leader of Igbos " similar to how other ethnic groups have their own community heads, like Sarkin Fulani...King of Fulanis
What exactly is the problem here?
When did legally purchasing land become a crime?

Reason why some people ( not me) hate igbo people... The conquer where ever they go.

The controversial Igbo king who has been living in Ghana for over 20 years and is married to a Ghanaian woman made headlines recently after buying plots of land to build a hospital and Igbo village in Ghana.

Rumors claimed he went into hiding after the news spread, but he’s now back in public — seen confidently strolling the streets of Ghana to loud cheers and celebration from his Ghanian admirers.

Ghanaian Troup out in Large numbers to celebrate Africa's most famous king ( Eze-Ndigbo na Ghana) as passed through the streets of Accra Ghana to honor an invitation for a cultural event in Ghana .

The video in the post captures a cultural event in Ghana, specifically the Homowo Festival in Nungua, where Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu, known as the "Eze Ndigbo na Ghana" (King of the Igbo community in Ghana), is seen participating. This event highlights the integration and recognition of the Igbo community within Ghanaian society, despite recent controversies regarding his title and role.

The backdrop of this event includes a recent statement from the Ga Traditional Council disassociating itself from Dr. Ihenetu's activities, indicating a lack of formal recognition of his kingship within the Ghana State.

This tension underscores broader issues of cultural integration and the legal frameworks governing traditional leadership in Ghana.
Dr. Ihenetu's presence and the positive reception by Ghanaians, as depicted in the video, contrast with online narratives, particularly from some Nigerian groups, who have spread misinformation about his status.

This situation reflects the complexities of diaspora communities maintaining cultural identities while navigating host country dynamics, and the role of social media in shaping public perception

This man employs thousands of Ghanaians in his factories and companies. It was actually jealous Nigerians and Igbo haters using social media to castigate him and instigate Ghanaians against him.
There's no history of Igbos invading and usurping anyone's land, if they want something from you they work hard, raise money and buy it from you.

If they deport him imagine the number of Ghanaians who work for him that will suffer.

It's time we accept the fact that Igbos love harmless Show off and Showmanship, it's what gives them the inspiration to work harder, it's not meant to denigrate anyone, they love titles whether official or unofficial, go and ask the hardworking Igbo Barrow Pusher in Mile 2 market what title he is known for, he will tell you that his friends call him "Ogbuefi 1 of Wheelbarrow na Mile 2"

Igbos are not killing anyone in Benue, Plateau or Zamfara or Ghana to take their lands, they even fall victims because they reside amongst the people in those communities.

It is clear what his title is it is just that if they don't resound it sooner than later he cabegin to drag territory with the real owners of the land. Why not stay in igboland and claim anything or do as you like.

Said something similar on the other thread. first, if the host country doesn't have an issue with it, why then should we even bother? Also, if the igbos chose him as their representative , then should it be an issue? every tribe would have a representaive in a country. If that's it. WHY THE FUSS?

He never said he was King in Ghana. He is simply the leader of igbo people in Ghana, not leader or king of Ghanians.
Even Fulanis have their sarkins and so do a host of other tribes. They .may not be as flamboyant as the Igbos but it's all the same. The hatred for Igbos in this country is alarming! People no go fit enjoy Their lives again?!

there's sarkin fulani of Lagos but you didn't talk. The Ghanians themselves were having a festival and invited this innocent man and that's where you found your voice. What have the Igbos done to you that your political office holders haven't done worse ? Don't you guys have your own groups and associations where you belong and elect leaders when outside your zones ? Leave Igbos alone and focus on those who plunged you into infrastructural decay because that's where the major problems are

Ps, the yorubas have an Oba in Enugu state by name Alh Abdulazeez Adebayo

The yoruba community in Anambra state have an Oba in Awka, the third in fact by name Alh Abdul Olahan aka Ezechinedu

They also have a Kabiyesi in Onitsha by name Alh Abraham Zubairu

Let us use our tongues to count our teeth, these are just a few examples.

Only yoruba people are spreading fake news and lies against Ndigbo in Ghana
You're right, his kingdom is in opulent area (East lagon) in Accra, reasonable Ghanaians are supporting him, only those ones with their Yoruba friends are spewing jargons.

you don't need to explain yourself, these things know what they're doing and it involves the Igbos suffering violent xenophobic attacks in Ghana forgetting that their brethren also have a very vibrant community in that same Ghana so one stone can affect multiple Nigerian birds

I don't know why they always want their own king in another King's domain.

That's treasonous in some way..

if you have a large gathering of people of same tribe or interest in a community , it is normal that they have a representative. If there are lots of yorubas in an Abian community, it is logical that they have a leader to represent them in meetings. you understand?

Shut up and go and tell Sarikin Fulani in Lagos to stop bearing such names. The envy you all have for anything Igbo keeps eating you up.

If they change the name from Eze Ndigbo to Chairman of Igbos will you be fine? Most of you are so ignorantly hateful

It is very wrong to go a foreign land and declare yourself as a King of whatever you might want to call it. King denotes utmost authority. They can have a registered association and select their leader but not King.

A king is installed over a territory by virtue of ancestral lineage and tribe. Not over just a group of people from a particular tribe living in a foreign land.
