Syria is bordered by Turkey to the north, Iraq to the east, Jordan to the south, and Lebanon and Israel to the southwest

Assad even with russia air power could not police the vast borderline of Syria, weapons were flowing into the country from different parts of the country vast borderline

If Iran wanted to move weapons into Syria, She won't break a sweat, They are multiple entering point from labenon, and also Iraq, where a number of Iran backed militias are based.

While LordAdamu and Appleyard are already reeling about a potential Iran backed militias taking over in Syria, one dude is telling us that a Syria military without proper air assets could police a large border like Syria, which they don't even control fully.

We are discussing weapons coming into Syria you are taking about weapons moving from Syria into labenon🤣🤣🤣

I ask you again do the Syrian government controls the entire borderline in Syria, how then can they control the flow of weapons into Syria
You're basically telling us that the arms they seized were manufactured in Syria on behalf of Hezbollah. Walahi I give up.

The above is my last take, if after looking at that map, considering the syrian vast borderline and the lack of air assets by the current syrian government, also vectoring that the Syria government do not control the entire syrian territory , I have nothing more to say.

I shake my head in disgust

Alamkiir:
Don't mind him, why did USA single out that particular drone for production if its not advanced
I think he was going off the fact that Iranian drones didn't start causing significant damage until later in the 12D war when Israel started rationing interceptors.

He isn't considering the idiosyncrasies of both wars.
If Russia fires Gerans towards France, the rate of interception will be high.

We all witnessed how Hezbollah used drones to good effect. Striking Satanyahu's home. Striking the military base canteen that caused perhaps the top mass casualty event of the war for Hezbollah. Can't forget the memes of Hezbollah drones asking for directions from Israeli helicopters. Israel accepted that it had no answer for cross-border drone attacks.

Iranian drones are second only to Chinese drones.
And at the moment, it feels like you have to split drone tech to categories to get a better picture.
Like in the heavy category, the US was the de facto top ranking, but China is on track to surpass them when they start inducting more of the stealth UAV fleet. China is already ahead in stealth drone tech, but mass production is still in progress.
In the light category, China ranks highest. Courtesy of DJI dominance.
In the intermediate category, Iran is joint top with Russia. Russian modifications have turbocharged the Gerans.

The US developed UAVs to be reusable systems primarily for recon and strikes to complement their manned systems.
That's what they focused on. Light and intermediate were always more expensive and less performant than Axis competition.
We can all remember how the Switchblades turned out to be duds.
China and Iran excelled in a category that the US dropped the ball on.

Russia took a different drone development path.
They adopted Iranian intermediate and Chinese light because they're perfect for cross border operations.
Prior to the war, the Russian MoD prioritized heavy drone development to match the US and China.
Their S-70 Okhotnik-B heavy drone is just as advanced as China's next gen stealth drones.

I couldn't have said this better at all. Thanks a lot.

I think we had a different interpretation of what an advanced drone is. My mind was on drones with advanced stealth features that do not need to be launched in swarms as opposed to the propeller-driven Shaheds that scream "Here I am. Catch me if you can." while evading defenses.

Either way, it is advanced in its own category

End of August will be eventful.

Europe will activate snapback UN sanctions on Iran. This action is veto-proof.
China and Russia cannot stop it.

The US plans to impose secondary sanctions on Russia's allies.

Both are economic actions.
The Axis response is the bigger deal.

It's your poor knowledge of geopolitics for me!
Well, let me quickly bring you up to speed. Since the ousting of Assad in December 2024, Israel has maintained military pressure in Syria, conducting airstrikes and establishing a buffer-zone presence in order to prevent Iran-linked militias or Syrian forces from posing threats near its borders. These among many other reasons accounts for the strikes witnessed yesterday. Try dey learn
The buffer zone was not established by Israel. It had already been established since after the end of the Yom Kippur War by the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force.
But like you said and I agree, the actions of Israel are to prevent Iran linked militias or Syrian forces from posting threats near its borders which also includes the golan heights, around which many of the druze reside.
What is really paining our people is that Israel seized the buffer zone after the fall of Assad. You see that buffer zone, they expected should have been maintained by the UN disengagement Observer Force but looking at the activities of members of UNRWA after the Hamas attacks of October 7, it is only logical for Israel to do things it's way and that explains why they had to seize the buffer zone.

Let them cry, I am not selling popcorn, I sell baskets 😂😂

Read the picture if you want to laugh. When it comes to drones I think small drones like fpv, fibre optic and lancet drones are more important. With good air defence bigger drones are easily shot down. Iran used electronic warfare to bring down USA stealth drone. In SMO Russia’s major issue is fpv drones.

Re: Russia-Ukraine War: World News, Weapons & Battlefield Discussions - Live by LordAdam16: 1:18pm On Jul 17, 2025
The ceasefire has apparently ended.
Jolani withdrew the terrorists and the ethnic militias moved in.

Syria is handing Satanyahu multiple gifts.
He has an excuse to deploy into Syria the troops he had agglomerated in the Golan Heights.

If they can create an alternative ecosystem, there's nothing that will stop China and Russia from building bases in Southern America.

This.

75% of the Axis so-called limitations is tied to the Hegemon economic system.
You always have to consider the vast majority of the Global South who are still tightly wound with the default system.

Truth be told, the pace of setting up this system has been slow.
If you want the rest of the Global South to slowly loosen ties with the West, you have to create, validate, and fully back an alternative.
And the core of the Axis, Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela should be the ambassadors that sell the alternate system by showing it works.

For instance, thanks to Russia's ability to weather Western sanctions in spite of them stealing $300B and the continued surge in BRICS economies, you can see how long the line was when BRICS started selling application forms.
They have to build on that.

The West has all but declared economic war on the Axis.
The path forward could not be more apparent.

We correctly predicted two events in Syria after Assad was ousted last year:

The first was that Syria, under Jolani, will fall into a fresh civil war.

The other is that Syria will confront Israel (or Israel will confront Syria) and both will go to war, with Turkey on Syria's side.

What many did not see was that both packages will come as one.

With what happened yesterday, it is clear as day that Israel will begin to arm the Druzes (the loyal faction) to fight against Syria.

At the same time, Turkey will arm Syria to fight against Israel and the Druzes.

Israel will give the Druzes air and intelligence support, and Turkey will do the same for Syria. And when things get heated, Israel and Turkey may find themselves fighting against one another.

As for Jolani, Israel has put him in a tight spot. Just last month, the US warned that his lieutenants may be plotting to eliminate him because of his closeness to the west.

Israel's bombing has made that more likely.

Reports indicate multiple high-ranking members of the Syrian military were killed in israel's bombing.

Jolani's lieutenants are definitely angrier now. Now, Jolani has to take a tougher stance against Israel, or his own boys will get rid of him and replace him with someone who will get the job done.

All his talk of wanting to make peace with Israel is no longer relevant since Israel is only interested in destabilizing Syria and taking more of its territory. Israel is clearly not ready for peace.

Turkey holds the cards here as Syria cannot clear Israel with its territory without their support. Israel for its own part, will continue to escalate until Turkey says it's done enough.

The next two years will be very interesting.

This is one of the disadvantages of forced mobilization. Either they have been mobilized by the Ukrainian TCC to the front or they ran away to nearby countries.

Superb submission.

Methinks Turkey will balkanize Syria before it gets in an extended shooting war with Israel.
It has much to lose and has only just kickstarted its neo-Ottoman ambitions.

Armenia is on track to allow a corridor that'll connect Turkey and Azerbaijan which will open up a contiguous Turkic connection from Turkey to Xinjiang. Turkey wants to be NATO's alternative to Russia in the Caucasus. The PKK just disbanded. Somalia, Sudan, and now Libya are on the menu. NATO is priming Turkey to replace France in the Sahel. At the very least, Turkey is auditioning for the role.

They plan on extending their influence from Africa to Central Asia.
They need NATO for that. Israel is an irritant to that plan and they'll not risk the big picture for Satanyahu or Al Sharaa or whomever other puppet comes along. Israel is small chops, the Ottomans have grander plans.
Push comes to shove, they'll split Syria. Ottomans take the NW. Kurds/US take the NE. ISIS take the middle. Israel takes the South. Russia/Hezbollah take the Coastal East. Iraq takes the West. Then they'll arm ISIS to keep the rest busy.
That's infinitely better than getting bogged down in a Syrian quagmire that'll cut off the NATO spigot which they need for their transcontinental domination goals.
NATO will always choose the Zionists over the Ottomans.

Trump is offering Xi semiconductor chips so Xi will allow more rare earth exports which the US will use to build weapons to kill Russians, Iranians, then Chinese.
While threatening to impose 100% tariffs on China for buying Russian oil which it needs to process the rare earth exports that the US is begging for.

It's infuriating when you think about it.
