Igbos need to stop this nonsense.

This whole idea of going to another man’s land and declaring yourself a king is just not on.

Why antagonise your hosts?

This is not Igbo tradition.
King of who?

Are they Declaring themselves Kings of their hosts? No!

They are only leaders of their own kinsmen United together in a host community? Na bad thing??

Hausas in all Igbo Towns and Villages have Sarkin Hausawa,Yorubas have Ọbá of Yoruba in Enugu State,Their Igbo hosts don't even think anything of it!

Listen..people have rights to associate or congregate together in a Union, simple!

The Unions must have leaders!

Why do some of you have issues with Igbo unions and their leaders in host communities?

Why the fear? Why the fear?

The man in question never declared himself a ruler or king over Ghanaians — he's simply the leader of the Igbo community in Ghana.
His title "Eze Ndi Igbo" literally translates to "King of the Igbos in Ghana or leader of Igbos " similar to how other ethnic groups have their own community heads, like Sarkin Fulani...King of Fulanis
What exactly is the problem here?
The man even built a school in Ghana
did you read that he built the school for Igbos?

And you are asking what is wrong

You're sprewing rubbish abeg.
Why will he parade himself a king in another man's lan?
That's why his mate got locked up in Lagos till date grin
There's a lot you need to learn kiddo. There are hundreds of Eze Ndi Igbo in every part of Lagos state with a significant Igbo population.
There's Eze Ndi Igbo in Mushin, there's another Eze Ndi Igbo in Ikeja, there's another one in ikorodu and another Eze ndi Igbo in Victoria Island.
Ask your elders, they are know them.
The one you made reference is Eze Ndi Igbo of Ajao Estate, Frederick Nkemdilim Nwajagu, he was not arrested because he was an Eze Ndi Igbo. He was arrested by the DSS on terrorism charges.
He has since been discharged and acquainted by the courts, he's a free man today

Your Nigeria government dirty policies make Igbos look outside Nigeria for a good living.
You stay in Nigeria to drink Niger delta crude oyel which keeps you in one Nigeria. Yet, you will not leave Igbos alone.

The problem that created the headlines here is that some Nigerian groups nurse the intention of forcing Igbos out of Igboland using government instruments and Islamic insurgency.
But they don't understand that they are living on pipe dreams.

He built the school for a community in Ghana and not for Igbos.....there's nothing wrong in building an Igbo town btw!
There's China towns in America, Uk, Canada, Australia, South Africa..e.t.c
There are indian towns/Desi towns in America, UK, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore.
There are Arab Towns too, Jewish towns.
What's wrong with an Igbo Town?

My great concern is that when the consequences begins to manifest in physical attacks, innocent Nigerians from other tribes will suffer it

oga Eze ndi Igbo simply means leader of Igbo or head of Igbos in a particular place, or country, it doesn’t translate to king of Yoruba, Ashanti or any other tribe outside the Igbo. The position is elective and not all Igbos are subject to him. Nevertheless he is not disturbing anyone, only insecure people are disturbing themselves about him

IT IS UNAFRICAN TO SUPPRESS THE AFRICAN IDENTITY.

THIS IS WAT WAS DONE TO AFRICAN AMERICANS WHEN THEY WERE STRIPPED OF THEIR CULTURE AND IDENTITY FORCIBLY.

FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION IS A BASIC HUMAN RIGHT.

IGBO PEOPLE ARE FREE TO ASSOCIATE IN GHANA AND ELECTED AMONGST THEM A HEAD IN THEIR LANGUAGE.

Well said, but Igbo people needs to educate other people about this subject so that the enemies of igbos won't use that as a pretext to launch unprecedented attacks.

It is very wrong to go a foreign land and declare yourself as a King of whatever you might want to call it. King denotes utmost authority. They can have a registered association and select their leader but not KBTW!

A king is installed over a territory by virtue of ancestral lineage and tribe. Not over just a group of people from a particular tribe living in a foreign land.
The issue lies with those who claim to know the Igbos but are completely ignorant of basic Igbo culture. In Igbo tradition, the term “Eze” doesn’t mean “king.” It's often misinterpreted in translation and is better understood as leader or champion.

Many Igbo individuals carry “Eze” as a first name, just like someone might be named “King” or "prince" in English—but that doesn’t make them royalty.

To be a legitimate king in Igboland, “Eze” is usually not the title of authority.
Instead, the formal title is “Igwe”, often preceded by “His Royal Majesty (HRM)” or “His Royal Highness (HRH).” This is followed by the king’s full name, his official title and the community he rules.

This is how the name of true Igbo king will look like:
His Royal Majesty Igwe Cosmas Ezeumeh, the Obi III of Nachi Community

His Royal Highness Igwe Kenneth Onyeneke Orizu III, The Obi of Otolo and Igwe of Nnewi Kingdom

It's an abomination in Igbo tradition for a monarch rule in a foreign land!
The “Eze Ndi Igbo” in Ghana is not recognized as a King with authority.
No true Igbo considers him a monarch.

King is a word. What matters is the powers the king has, ceremonial, political or cultural

This guy is more of the cultural king of the Igbo community in Ghana, he is not a political king and has no rulership over anyone, not even over Igbos in Ghana. Igbos don't do political kings.

Ghana is a democracy and I believe they must have freedom of association as we do in Nigeria

Therefore, its not a matter of if the man is right or wrong to be King of the Igbos in Ghana. What matters is if he broke any law. If nobody can point to any law he broke, the rest is nonsense talk.

It is all about tribal expansionism
Enjoy your tribalism.

Colonial streets in Ajegunle have been renamed with names of people of South West extraction by Ajeromi-Ifodun Local government.

They didn't take into consideration pluralistic nature of Lagos.

Such excessive tribalism is not good for our corporate existence. It erodes our collective identity and broader prospective for unity.

Ghana should not fall back into mistakes of southwesterners.

The thing is that the Yoruba Pro-APC Ronu folks (led by NoNonsenseZone) falsely labelled the intra-Ghana fracas as a battle against the Igbos; whatever their gain will be remains unknown, but it is clear that it is hate-sponsored from the decades old tribal envy some of them have against the adventuring Igbo spirit.

It was so bad that it took core Ghanians on social media to call out the dirty lies to their faces. As it is today, their power mongers are turning a blind eye to No Nonsense Zone. But when there is a blowout like the Lagospedia account, you will see denial left and right.
By the way,is this a country? I doubt. It's not.

I find it difficult a section of the country carries out hate messages across the globe to discredit another section of the country.

I fear implosion.

We are now a laughing stock as a country because of tribalism. No wonder Nigerians are being hounded left and right anywhere they go.

Surprisingly, apostles of hate don't see the disservice they're doing to the country and themselves.

Let's restructure or go our separate ways. We are wasting time as a country. Retarding our progress.

One other tribe is also involved in spreading fake news. it's either they are being paid to do that because of 2027 election or the major tribe involved is being disguising as the other tribe.
During last election, Peter Obi really got so much love from that tribe.
I wonder what really goes on in the mind of wicked things who hates the Igbos?
Then on religious days they form saints and good people.
Needless hating. Let ourselves the truth.

The basis of unity is not there. Just wasting our time as a nation.

Since Southwest believe in themselves and feel they're better off without other ethnic nationalities, let's separate to stop this insults and ethnic bantering.

Tribalism from them is on high side.

See the last local government elections. Debarring non APC members from voting and swore people of southeast extraction should not vote.

Now in Ajegunle, street names bearing people of southeast extraction are being removed and renamed with names of southwest extraction.

Hmmmm

And you say we are one countryhuh
