HelpMeee:Practically speaking,, it won't but it is always like that in the calendar. Last semester, and previous semesters (maybe 6 semesters backward), they were all like that but were never implemented. |

Hello. I'm in the process of applying for admission. Entered my details and tried to make payment but it didn't go through Tried to restart the process but the system indicated that I'd already started, and I should proceed to "conclude hanging payment". Problem is I have neither the Order ID nor the RRR of the previous attempted payment. Seem to be stuck here - can't conclude previous transaction, can't initiate a new one. Kindly assist |

Anthonyo15 :Hello, i applied January for admission, paid application fee of 5k or so, i was told to locate my center after successful admission, for futher details. I was unable to follow up. I missed first semester, can I pay for my school fees and follow up with the second semester? If yes, what about the first semester that I've missed, how do I catch up? Thank you @Enskynelson |
| Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Fkj202004: 3:27pm On Jul 16, 2025 |
Kingju:Since you have not registered any courses before, this semester is going to be your first semester. This implies that you are going to register first semester courses |
| Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Enskynelson(m): 3:43pm On Jul 16, 2025 |
Kingju:Just as stated above, you are to begin with first semester. NOUN operates all semesters concurrently. You cannot proceed with 2nd semster when you haven't done 1st semester. |

Pls I want to confirm something I heard about NOUN graduation I heard years back that the max no. of years and semester one can use after gaining admission is 8 years & 16 semesters. That after that, anyone who hasn't graduated will be locked out of the portal and can't graduate again. So I don't know if that rule still holds or what it it actually means is it no. of years & semester you register for courses & exams passes 8/16, not no. of subsequent/successive years after you get admitted. I gained admission in 2014 and I'm in 400L final year of ICT, though my matruc starts from NOU13 because I started processing Dec 2013. So I don't know if it will actually affect me and prevent me from graduating because I've seen some few final year graduates on the final year list whose matric shows they've exceeded 8 years. I've been unable to access my portal since they did that migration last year until I decided to try it again on Monday by doing a password reset before I could login. I'm currently processing my project with my supervisor and don't want to go and waste any money on it and final year clearance bills if I can't graduate and get the certificate. |

Ok thanks, I'm checking my result now on support portal now and I'm seeing 2 outstanding core courses there but their names is among the courses I've passed. My TCC & TCE is already above 144 - 149 3 outstanding courses - two C & one E Compulsory courses CIT191 - Computer Lab I - 1 unit CIT208 - Info Systems - 2 unit Similar Courses I've done before CIT292 - Computer Lab I - 2 unit CIT364 - Management. Info Systems (MIS) - 3 unit Elective Course CIT463 - Intro to Multimedia Tech - 3 unit I checked that harmonized course table they created in 2022 for mapping some Computer Science & Info & Comm. Tech old courses into new ones. There's no CIT191 Computer Lab I there, but CIT392 Computer Lab II was mapped to CIT292 Computer Lab II. So I think it's the same happening with CIT292 & CIT191. For the 2nd compulsory course - CIT208 Info Systems, It was only mapped for CIT108 Problem Solving Algorithm under Computer Science dept, but not for Info, Comm. Tech dept. which I've done as ICT student. I also did CIT364 Management Info Systems, another course with similar name, but I don't know if they'll count it as same. I don't know if you or anyone knows if it'll be required to take those 3 outstanding courses before I graduate or it's only the 2 core courses or just the CIT208 Info Systems core course I must register to graduate. Because I want to save cost as much as possible for other bills like project submission to my supervisor and final year clearance, paying compulsory fee for just 1/2 courses is painful. You can also direct me on best people to contact for advice on way forward Fkj202004:
