Ohyoudidnt:That is not the point. Is it untrue that More Islamic clerics pray for the Rich and Influential in Islam? Why is this ? What is the fate of the Poor and Downtrodden? |

TheJustPath:You are still buttressing my point. The Rich and Influential in Islam has higher chances of entering the Islamic paradise because more Islamic clerics will pray to Allah on their Behalf! Or are you saying that your prayers are worthless? |
| Re: Crowd In Gombe Pray For Buhari, Seeks Allah’s Mercy (Photos) by Ohyoudidnt: 7:29pm On Jul 16, 2025 |
TenQ:What is? Of what significance is earthly ordinance to acceptance of prayer? If the poor has many who silently pray for him or her will this be ineffective because they are not recognised clergy? The best of people in the sight of Allah are not those with the most wealth, but those with the most God-consciousness, righteous deeds, good character, and sincere devotion to Him. You have expressed about what you see and hear physically but so much you don't know about between Allah and his creation. The Prophet pbuh said: The poor will enter Paradise five hundred years before the rich among the Muslims. al-Tirmidhi Poverty is not dishonor; rather, many of the pious were poor in material life but rich in faith |

pquaver:You will think he's lying because thats what your people do normally, but look at my topics when I registered in 2015. I campaigned for Buhari and celebrated his victory, but 1 year after I was strongly opposed to him even though his passing brought back memories. I remain obidient |

![]() Ohyoudidnt:I marvel at Muslims because they never check the substance of a hadith before nodding their heads in awe. Does this hadith below even make sense to you? The Prophet pbuh said: The poor will enter Paradise five hundred years before the rich among the Muslims. al-Tirmidhi |

TenQ:How exactly am I buttressing your point? Try to follow your own argument for once instead of twisting it to sound clever. Islam does not teach that wealth or status guarantees Paradise — if anything, the opposite is true. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) warned that the rich will be held to account more severely, and no amount of clerics praying can bribe Allah. So your claim that ‘more prayers for the rich means higher chances of Paradise’ is just lazy thinking. Our prayers are never worthless, but they don’t override someone’s deeds, because ultimate judgment belongs to Allah alone — not crowds at a funeral. Next time, get your facts right before parroting half-baked assumptions about Islam. Sincerity and good deeds matter, not your warped idea that influence buys divine favour. Try reading what Islam actually says — it might help you make a point that holds up for once. |

Ohyoudidnt:What is the sense in a Rich Pious Muslim waiting 500 years before being admitted into Paradise? What is his offence? Don't forget that Allah's destiny made him both Rich and Religious at the same time! SMH! No wonder, the Hadith is so ..... That you cannot even defend it's authenticity! Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2351 Abu Sa'eed narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "The poor Muhajirin will enter Paradise before the rich among them by five hundred years." |

TenQ:Is the intelligence waning with age or brilliance getting lazy? You agree with your biblical statement where it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God; Matthew 19:24 but cannot understand the concept of human time and calendar compared to time with Allah or God if you like? See also Psalm 90:4 (ESV): “For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night but it may not count as it is a song of David? A day with your Lord is like a thousand years of what you count.” — (Qur’an 22:47) Is Tenq getting overwhelmed and tired of his fruitless rambling? |

Ohyoudidnt:The words of Jesus is easy to understand sir and it has NOTHING to do with Timings. Jesus was known to teach with Parables, Figures of Speech, Metaphors and Similes, Proverbs and story telling, you will see that this teaching of Jesus was a hyperbole teaching that you cannot enter Paradise with the load of your wealth! The meaning: A rich man depends more on his riches than God in this life. Thus, it is more difficult for him to find salvation for his soul. Thus, Jesus teaches that the cares of this world facilitated with riches if not striped off will prevent a rich man from entering paradise. Now, back to your Hadith. It was a flat statement by Mohammed about a DELAY or WAITING period for the Rich to Enter Paradise. Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2351 Abu Sa'eed narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "The poor Muhajirin will enter Paradise before the rich among them by five hundred years." What is the sense in this? Your EXPLANATION: What is the sense in a Rich Pious Muslim waiting 500 years before being admitted into Paradise? What is his offence? Don't forget that Allah's destiny made him both Rich and Religious at the same time! |

Ohyoudidnt:All I ask is WHY is there a 500 years delay for a rich man to enter paradise? |

TenQ:What are you saying about timing? You then go into a needless epistle talking anout parables. You forget about time with God and time with mankind? TenQ:You must say something to show you die fighting or arguing? It's relativity and it shouldn't be misinterpreted to mean that there aren't rich men who are also amongst the first entrants into paradise. You seem to allude imperfection in Allah's perfect justice, mercy and reward ? |

TenQ:Just to satisfy my best effort to answer your usual bother. The poor will enter Paradise five hundred years before the rich. The Prophet (pbuh) often emphasized the virtues of the poor, providing comfort and a spiritual outlook for those facing hardships. This isn’t about condemning wealth itself. This hadith doesn’t criticize all wealthy individuals; rather, it serves as a caution about the pitfalls of wealth, the delays in accountability, and a reminder that being poor in this world doesn’t mean you’re out of favor with God. 2. Why 500 Years Before? 1. Wealthy individuals have more to answer for. They must account for how they earned their money, how they spent it, and whether they gave zakah, helped others, or hoarded it. This results in a longer reckoning (ḥisāb) on the Day of Judgment. Consequently, the poor, with fewer responsibilities, are judged more swiftly and can enter Paradise sooner. 2. Five Hundred Years = A Half-Day in the Hereafter According to Qur’an 32:5: “A day with your Lord is like a thousand years of what you count.” So, 500 years is just half a day in God’s eyes—not a literal measure of time, but a metaphor for delay and anticipation. 3. Spiritual Honor & Consolation The poor often endure suffering in this life. Allah honors them by granting them early access to Paradise as a reward for their patience and their lack of worldly excess. 3. Does That Mean All Poor Are Better Than the Rich? Not at all. Islam doesn’t glorify poverty itself. Instead: Poverty accompanied by patience and righteousness is esteemed. Wealth that is met with gratitude and generosity is also commendable. The Prophet (pbuh) said: “How excellent is wealth for a righteous man!” (Musnad Ahmad, Sahih) Thus, wealthy believers who give, engage in charity, and remain humble will also find their way to Paradise, but they will face a longer period of accountability. 4. Balance in Other Hadiths To avoid any misconceptions, Islam presents a balanced perspective. The Prophet (pbuh) also cautioned the poor. Some among the poor may face punishment for harboring envy or begging unnecessarily. He also spoke of the righteous wealthy (like Abu Bakr, Uthman, Abdul Rahman ibn Awf) saying that there’s no harm in a wealthy person who is God-fearing. So, entry to Paradise isn’t determined by wealth but by God consciousness;Taqwa, good deeds, patience in hardship and gratitude in wealth. 5. Spiritual Lessons from the Hadith Accountability grows with blessings. Wealth serves as a test, often leading to a delayed entry due to extended judgment. Avoid envying the wealthy. The luxuries they enjoy today might come with their own set of delays or burdens tomorrow. Being poor isn’t a curse. With patience and sincerity, poverty can actually pave the way to Paradise more swiftly. Spend wealth wisely. Those with riches should focus on spending, giving, and living humbly — as their Day of Judgment will be more extensive. Related Quranic Reminder: “Then you will surely be asked that Day about the pleasures (you enjoyed).” — Qur’an 102:8 This encompasses every extra meal, piece of clothing, home, car, and comfort. Therefore, the less one possesses, the fewer questions they’ll face, leading to a quicker entrance. The hadith in Tirmidhi reminds us that: Wealth comes with responsibility, which can slow down the path to Paradise. The righteous poor will be honored with an earlier entry into Paradise — 500 years ahead of the wealthy. It’s a reminder for all believers to be mindful of Allah, manage wealth thoughtfully, and remain humble, no matter their status. |
