RCCG pastor absconds with $8000 church money, abandons wife, marries new one

A Pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God has absconded with $8,000 church money, abandoned his wife, and married a new one.

Pastor Folu Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer, Worldwide, of the RCCG, revealed this development when she ministered at a programme organised for men.

She said in a video, monitored by Church Times, that the unnamed pastor was to have used the money given to him for missions in South Africa, where he abandoned his wife, and went on to marry another woman in the United States of America.

Adeboye said the incident that led to the action of the pastor happened when she went to Cape Town, South Africa for missions and had to preach in the RCCG parish where he was the pastor.

The place used for service was an eatery

As she was ministering, a woman came and was packing the chairs at the venue, apparently telling the worshippers their time was up since the place was rented.

There is something I don't understand about christianity- For anyone to rise in the church from a member to worker to the level of pastor and still be able to do hideous things like this, does it mean that he never gave his life to Christ in the first place? Or he was just pretending all along and even if he was pretending how come the holy spirit allows his to get to this extent- affording him the opportunity to tarnish the name of the church, the religion and even the the name of the Lord.

Well it could be as a result of the fact, he understands how they made the and how the church managers spends the money, hence, feel it's time to also bless himself.

How much is 8000 dollars worth, even if its worth several millions won't that money go down,

I mean the ratio is definitely less than 1:1000...

Yes the act is not ideal for a minister of God but, there are others who didn't do same so let's focus on the majority.

Bros, it's Men that eat your offering and tithes. No money is taking to heaven. The concern should be either good or bad men that manage our affairs. Same with our political system (APC vs PDP)

Y'all remember when Bishop David Oyedepo thread fire and brimstone during a pastors conference about those eating church money. His pastors had to help their selves 🤷. Men dey chop money on a steady in worship places.

Do you think the presence of God is in every church out there? God dwells within a man. If a man does such hideous things confidently and without feelings of remorse, that man have subdued God's presence in himself. Church does not save anyone, godliness comes from within and is evident to the public eye.
