So funny that the same person who told us that the Syria government is well able to stop weapons from coming into Syria, is the same person telling us now that the same government has in her territory different armed groups who are capable of unilateral military operations even when they the government have brokered a ceasefire

This is the same dude telling us that the Syria government has the ability to check mate weapons coming into Syria

A government that can't even account for every square inch of Syrian territory, can't even control the different factions within the country, is capable of stopping an Iran from transporting weapons into the country.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

On July 17, 2025, Kremlin aide Vladimir Medinsky announced that Russia had returned the remains of 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers and received 19 Russian bodies in exchange.
This humanitarian repatriation is part of a broader agreement made during the second Istanbul peace talks in June, under which Russia has pledged to return up to 3,000 Ukrainian bodies in phases.
Forensic teams in Ukraine will now work to identify the remains and provide closure for families.

Yet they said Ukraine is winning
Ukraine is indeed winning on cnn and in their heads

Even UK USA evil nato fans are constantly depressed about Ukraine fate cheesy

Appleyard:
Why do some of you like dragging Russia into every ugly piece in the geopolitical chessboard? grin

Well, the Syrians asked for it. They said they are tired of Assad (he was bad but was able to unite and hold together much of the country, by fighting off the brazen terrorism sponsored by the west and the chaos fanned by Turkey) and they preferred the same terrorist elements that destabilized the country for years to rule as their new found messiah.

Now, let them face the result. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes.

Let the Joolani terrorist government backed by the west and Turkey taste what Assad that they deposed has been dealing with for a decade from the same western backers and handlers.

Russia should sit this out with hands akimbo. Pour some vodka and smile wryly as madness strikes across and in-between the geopolitical mortal enemies of Syria.

From the comfort of my home far away in Delta, I can see the possibilities. Currently, the odds are in favour of them:

1. Turkey and Israel will eventually strike each other in Syria, leading to major escalations.

2. The US will be caught in the crosshairs. (AIPAC/Mossad and the oil profiteering elites would make sure that the US doesn't pull out totally from Syria. Trump is in for a long roller coaster ride.)

3. Elements of the REAL Syrian army that crossed into Iraq following the overthrow of Assad might regroup, in conjunction with other aggreived groups in the country and launch a regime change attack into Damascus, backed by Iraqi government forces and Iran. This will leave Israel and the US and Turkey even more confused.

4. As the chaos spreads, Iran might decide to open a preemptive attack front against Israel by activating its forces in Iraq and Lebanon. The worst would happen if Turkey decides to align and coordinate interests with Terhan.

5. Since the US cannot allow Israel to lose nor antagonize Turkey, a key NATO member holding its nukes, the frustration that would hit the trump administration camp would be like a nightmare.

All these while Russia is still sipping its vodka. cool

In the end, all the parties involved will start calling on Russia as the lone big elephant in the room that can turn the tides based on who or where it chose to pitch its tent. Thus, the influence that so many erroneously concluded that Russia has lost with the departure of Assad would be reiterated and demonstrated for all to see.

Now, take this as an assignment: where would Russia pitch its tent if the above scenario unfolds?

Do you think, as asserted, Russia can make the difference in the given scenario?

Geopolitics isn't a game of carrot and sticks. It's all about aggregation of interest, stark realities and logical deductions.

Joolani had his time.

Turkey basked in that euphoria.

Israel is enjoying its time.

Russia own dey come. But how and in what direction?

I'm out.

⚡Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa held calls with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to discuss the recent developments in Syria, especially in the south.

The leaders expressed full support for Syria’s unity and condemned repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, calling them dangerous escalations that threaten regional stability.

They reaffirmed their rejection of foreign interference and stressed the importance of Syria’s sovereignty, stability, and the safety of its people.

President al-Sharaa thanked Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Qatar for their solidarity. He emphasized the state’s duty to protect all Syrians, regardless of sect or background, and held foreign interventions responsible for the current unrest.

He also reaffirmed Syria’s commitment to the rule of law and national unity.

BREAKING: Israeli-backed Hijri militants reportedly requested intervention from Damascus to end the Suwayda clashes.

However, the Syrian government reaffirmed its commitment to the ceasefire and views the conflict with Bedouin tribal forces as an internal matter.

Damascus said it would only intervene if all militias unconditionally surrender and full control of the province is restored.

We'll see if Jolani and co outsmarted Satanyahu by deploying tribal militants and terrorists masked as militants.

Methinks they're just giving Satanyahu a reason to deploy more troops in Syria.

Regardless, it's a risky gambit.
Can Satanyahu afford to have 3 divisions stuck in Southern Syria for the foreseeable future?

IDF: An initial inquiry into reports regarding injured individuals in the Holy Family Church in Gaza City, suggests that fragments from a shell fired during operational activity in the area hit the church mistakenly. The cause of the incident is under review.

The IDF directs its strikes solely at military targets and makes every feasible effort to mitigate harm to civilians and religious structures, and regrets any unintentional damage caused to them.

Yeah mass was held in the church they claimed Israel bombed

The worst thing to be in isreal is a male child... like, how do you keep fighting virtually everyday. Everyday.
From Gaza to west bank to iran to syria to lebanon to yemen etc and we believe others are the problem and not you?
What is Isreal's problem with what is happening in Syria to warrant bombing their presidential area.
Can you imagine the level of brutality? blowing up Syria's Aso rock and defence head quarter ... for a country not attacking you for goodness sake.. yet you will turn back crying you can't sleep with your 2 eyes close around your neighbors.
How will you sleep with your 2 eyes close in such condition.
Just imagine Nigeria invading Cameroun because Cameroun is attacking and killing the english speaking part (which were formerly part of Nigeria/Calabar/Akwa Ibom people) and then blowing Cameroun's defence headquarter in Yaounde and their presidential villa.. Please make it make sense to me.
With all the issues we are having in Nigeria, it is bombing Cameroun, Benin, Togo regularly that should be my problem. How can you have such a safe neighbor when you are a constant nuisance to them.
Invading Cameroun, creating a buffer zone by snatching the western part because they are killing Ibaka people, then go ahead bombing Niger republic and invading her south to snatch more lands because Boko Haram has been using it to come to Nigeria to attack and go back.
Snatch Chan Land and Niger because the fulanis their are been killed everyday by Bokoharam and we need to protect them in a bigger Nigeria map... just make it make sense to me.

Remember when they killed children who were only fetching water? Yeah, that was a mistake too.

By the way, we've only been dignified with an "explanation" from the IDF because Trump called Netanyahoo after the church shelling (apparently, this disturbs him more than the deliberate targeting of civilians).

Alamkiir was commenting on China's FM most recent outpouring of support for Iran.
It's almost becoming a weekly affair.

On Syria, I don't think anyone has called out Russia during this episode.
If Druze militia can hold up Jolani terrorists until Israeli air strikes arrived, it is as clear as day that the SAA should have vanquished Jolani with Russian air support.
They sold out Assad.

Time will correct many wrongs.
For now, Iran and Russia are sitting on the sidelines and clinking glasses.
It is a miracle that they were able to keep Syria stable despite the harsh sanctions.

We desperately need a parallel economic system.
This is the major reason why I'd be ecstatic if Trump follows through and enacts 100%+ secondary tariffs on Russia.
The Axis has tried not to upset the cart because many in the Global South are still linked to the Hegemon economic system.
A secondary tariff escalation will be a net positive like the SWIFT ban turned out to be.

-Lord
I gat your drift, and so with Alamkirs'.

I was merely stating a hypothesis based on the current realities (on the assumption that this current Israeli/Druze and Joolani faceoff continue unabated).

Syria is a geopolitical bottle of enigma that is difficult to predict.

Whatever, its comical seeing what is happening now to Joolani.

The israelis in their forever war politics are now seeking to dethrone him and even assassinate him. Turkey will never tolerate this, and this is where the real danger lies. Knowing Israel for what they are, they would keep targeting Joolani and his forces even deep into Damascus. This will eventually push Turkey to act because they are not willing to let all their investments in the new government collapse just like that.

So the odds in favor of a Turkey vs Israeli shooting match over the skies in Syria are very HIGH.

This reality is what emboldens Joolani at the moment.

Moscow and Tehran will be laughing in 3D.

The new reality afford both Axis nations some leverage. As the IDF engulf itself in another brouhaha, at a time when Hamas is inflicting painful realities on the Gaza front lines, Tehran will have more time to rebuild and regroup and prepare properly for a round 2 showdown with Israel while Moscow retains and maintain its key role of policy making and shaping in Syria as much as Turkey is concerned.

As for Trump, he is all talk and no substance. His emotions are everywhere. Eventually, he will end up killing the US economy with his stupid tariffs.

Netanyahu is coming to Washington this week. To make sure that baby-mind Trump does not escape the web of war they have laid for him. By acquiescing to the Israeli lobby pressure to join in the strike against Iran, Trump has falling into the trap. He thought he would just deliver some few strikes and then get out. But, he was wrong. He is now caught in the forever war policy of mad man Netanyahu.

Emotions have no place in geopolitics.

Trump is emotionally reactive and we have seen this in recent decisions in the economic and political sphere. Netanyahu knew this and he is leveraging it to his selfish advantage.

the Axis nations, particularly the BRICS bloc understand Trump's emotional weakness. As a result, plans are already under way to create an alternative to the western led economic system. Moscow is now actively putting in place a system that would ensure that London no longer has the monopoly to define and determine the price and value of gold in the world market. The BRICS setup is already undermining the oil-US dollar benchmark. Gradually, it will come down to virtually all essential commodities.

The west knew this phase is coming and they are hell bent on stopping it, even if it will lead to WW3.

The same people who said the killings of Palestinian civilians in Gaza is necessary? These ones are deep in the US's arse. The only time they will condemn Israel is if the US does. Outside of that, they won't.

Russia should just ignore Trump ceasefire deadline and carry on....if Ukraine wants peace it should sign a peace deal. The west plans to move in troops during the ceasefire period and restart this war again.

Just keep on pressing Ukraine for another 2 years so they will be morally weakened just like Russia humbled the Chechens at the end this is an attrition war, they are already are looking for a pull out this year so putin shouldn't give them that breathing space.
