Peller And The ₦500k Cameraman Job: A Mockery Of Nigerian Graduates? by DrMB(op): 11:28am On Jul 16, 2025
In life, if your pride is greater than your ability or usefulness, you're already shooting yourself in the foot.
When Peller offered ₦500,000 for a cameraman role and instructed graduates, including master's degree holders to line up, critics mocked him. But Robert Kiyosaki warned about this in “Why A Students Work for C Students, and B Students Work for the Government.” The book explains why book-smart individuals often end up working for street-smart risk-takers.

The lesson? Degrees don't guarantee opportunity, value creation does.

Peller, by Kiyosaki’s standards, is offering what many “A and B students” are still chasing: a job. And a well-paying one. Instead of criticizing him, ask: Why are master’s degree holders applying for a cameraman job? That question says more about the system and misplaced priorities than about Peller.

It also brings us to the formula:

Ego ÷ Ability > 1 = Failure
Ego ÷ Ability < 1 = Success

If your ego says “I’m too educated for this,” but your ability or circumstances, says otherwise, you're setting yourself up to fail. The harsh truth? Humility plus skill pays. Pride without value doesn’t.

Peller didn’t expose them. The system did. He just put a price tag on it.

The guy even f**k up, why graduate? Why not just a good photographer
Re: Peller And The ₦500k Cameraman Job: A Mockery Of Nigerian Graduates? by Gotocourt:
The government is the problem not Mr Peller. The earlier graduates understand there's no job waiting for you, the better. I found myself after 10yrs of waiting for federal jobs. Dreams are intentionally killed in this country. I'm 35yrs now to the glory of God. I just found my path in life, use your head if you are seeing this 🙌.

Edit:
our curriculum teaches us to be employed not job creators. You just have to think outside the box

Mockery? You may call it that. The amount he agreed to pay those people is actually what experienced graduates take home as company managers.
So yea, his intention may be to mock, but someone out there just got a good paying job.

The best is to be educated and be rich.

The Peller boy is immature and probably insecure as well. You cannot toy with people like that, it is insulting and disgusting.

All of you creating posts and threads all over the place on top this clown's matter are just annoying tbh...!

This is precisely what he aimed to achieve with that stunt: CLOUT! Massive and free publicity from your collective and misplaced outrage.

Ignoring him would have sent a far bigger message!

Even the dullest persons who stumbled upon wealth deeply know that good education can never be a scam!

That little brat deserves to be arrested and Prosecuted for deception and breach of trust.
Broke shaming and debasing MSc holders in Nigeria is not just a joke taken too far but a crime against federal government.

That's no mockery. That boy is battling with inferiority complex. He's just doing that to stifle his insecurities.

Like I always say, nobody promised anyone that they would get a job after going to school because the purpose of going to school isn't to get a job.
Re: Peller And The ₦500k Cameraman Job: A Mockery Of Nigerian Graduates? by NetbizBoss: 2:00pm On Jul 18, 2025
It more of a Mockery of the Nigeria Educational system. The colonial Master's introduce this system of education so that the indigenes will know how to speak English and be able to read the Bible. It wasn't practical based education but theory.

Any country that want to be productive most adopt a practical base education just like China.

Our professors supposed to be our scientist/inventors and not ceremonial

Upon all the professors we have in Nigeria we cannot produce anything. They only speak English

It is a call to restructure the education system and make it practical base education

It is a mockery on himself. Very unfortunate when Nigerians celebrate unecessary people turning nuisance to a celebrity over nonsense that is what you get.

He ridiculed himself because he never had any degree so he doesn't know the value.

Please where is the crime in this, Do you know how many people sit for Jamb every year, how many graduates are out there with nothing to eat, I can tell you for a fact if he had gone for phd you’d have still found people come for it, the system is failing daily

Re: Peller And The ₦500k Cameraman Job: A Mockery Of Nigerian Graduates? by Hermanie(m): 2:01pm On Jul 18, 2025
This whole job gimmick is essentially a humiliation ritual for educated people.

Peller obviously already has camera men but he needs to feel good about his financial success by humiliating the people who would normally think they are better than him because of their educational status
Re: Peller And The ₦500k Cameraman Job: A Mockery Of Nigerian Graduates? by FunnyDude(m):
The people who developed the smart phones, Internet, Vehicles and other technologies you all are enjoying today went to school, took classes, took courses, did assignments, experiment in the lab, failed thousands of times before they achieved what you "Education is Scam" people are enjoying today.

The semiconductors, silicon, metalloids, infrared rays used in developing the mobile phones and hardwares was all as a result of same University education.

Money has an expiring date, but knowledge and education doesn't.

The founder of Tiktok is a graduate of Software Engineering, went to Nankai University. Education gave him the leverage he used to conduct experiments that propelled Tiktok algorithm.

Keep wallowing in ignorance

He has every right to request for a camera man that's a graduate, that's his brand we're talking about he doesn't want to jeopardise it, it's more or less an illiterate looking for an intelligent person to help him out

Guy na mockery

Nothing you wan tell me, u sef with all ur kiyosaki u get money?
Re: Peller And The ₦500k Cameraman Job: A Mockery Of Nigerian Graduates? by casualobserver:
The mockery is that you are a graduate waiting to be employed by someone who isn’t a graduate for a job that demeans your level of education.

The mockery is that we are producing glorified exam crammers. People programmed to regurgitate facts in examinations, not people programmed to think and engage their brains. you should be employing pellar not him employing you but your education has dulled your brains while he was fortunate not to have gone through the 4 walls of the brain dulling system called western education in a Nigerian university. I said it somewhere while discussing income taxes, most mechanics, market women, taxi drivers, electricians etc, make more than professors! in my day a professor made 10x these people...yet you think these latter day professors are adequately qualified or motivated to give you a good education? that you cant work that out itself shows you werent educated to think.

This is adequately reflected if you examine comments on Nairaland by supposedly educated people many of whom are graduates!

Some will blame the govevrnment. I don’t totally. If the government tries to raise school fees to raise the quality of education in these universities, they are the same people that will protest. You get the quality of education you pay for. If your professor is only earning N300k a month, you aren’t getting good education because no professor worth his salt will sell his services for N300k a month.

There is no free lunch, you want fuel subsidy? Ok no problem.... you burn all the subsidized petrol on bad roads that take 5hrs for a journey of 1hr and damage your car. You don’t want to pay requisite school fees, ok no problem.....you end up with a degree that only qualifies you for a cameraman job for someone who didn’t go to school.

Life is about choices! The man who struggles to send his child to a quality fee paying university is not a full!

What's the fuse about what this so called pellar did? He's just a content creator and drawing attention to himself is what he preys on which in turn gives him money.
Even dis op post dey give am wetin en dey find.
We keep talking about how how someone that's not well refined and without education as if he's the first money miss Road.
Some are even making it look like educationed people no longer make money.
Before you mention 1 uneducated big man/woman, you must mention at least 10 educated big man/woman.
When I mentioned educated, I'm not talking about having a degree or PhD.

For dis life, money miss road go always dey and de only thing we dey give dem orgasm na de small money we dem get, way dem no go fit gurn to generational wealth.

The mockery here are those criticising peller. How is it a crime for someone to employ graduates to his company.
So, because he didn't go to school, he shouldn't employ whoever he wants? I no understand

Infact, right now peller is smarter and more educated than those of you up there criticising peller

Nope!

Blame the system not education per se!

The politrickcians brought us to this level of decay.

Education would always have its pride of place in the development of any society no matter what.

So lame a write up...
Did you actually know what you thought that Kiyosaki wrote in his book? By the way, Kiyosaki wrote books to sell and rake in money, even with sweet lies, some of his claims are lies, the Rich Dad, Poor Dad thingy and all that...

Would everyone ever be an entrepreneur? Why do you guys make it seem like working under someone, either educated or otherwise is a misfortune?
Individuals could seek for jobs anywhere they feel they could get one. The stupid-looking Peller in the name of content creation only came to show very clumsy he is
