My own is: where are the people who criticised the renaming of Unilack ( sorry, Unilag) to Moshood Abiola University? Why have they suddenly lost their voices on this one!

These same people will still argue that they are not two-faced

how has tinubu used his "balls" to successfully tackle corruption, nepotism, cronyism, hunger, unemployment, hardship, poverty, inflation, wasteful government spending, budget padding, insecurity, bad governance, failing public infrastructure, poor medial services and falling standard of education in order to improve the lives of Nigerians?

University of Maiduguri was established while Buhari was governor of the North East region.........many dont know this. he overswa its initial development. he was also the 1st governor of Borno state!

The person name that suppose diffuse into thin air and disappear like mess for his colossal failure.

Even for UNILAG, we reject it. I am an alumnus of both UNIMAID and UNILAG and we say no to renaming of educational institutions after politicians.

In 2012, Tinubu received over 100 protesting students of UNILAG who marches to his house to submit a letter of petition against the renaming of UNILAG. He received the petition and would later lend his voice to the struggle then, categorically stating that renaming UNILAG wasn't the best way to immortalise MKO Abiola.

Today, we vehemently refuse the renaming of UNIMAID. Reminding Tinubu that renaming UNIMAID is not the best way to immortalise Muhammadu Buhari.

He rejected renaming UNILAG after his own brother but went far from Katsina to Borno to rename their university after someone who is not from his own region. That is law of karma working against him!

Afterall before now, the Intl Airport in Borno is named after Buhari.
One of the girls hostels in UNIMAID is named after Aisha Buhari.

So they should take it as God's Plan.

We have federal university of transportation Daura,his hometown. Why can't the school be renamed Muhammed Buhari university as a monument?

Let's avoid things that will not augur well for the everlasting memory of the departed General.

The University is owned by the Federal government, they can choose to do whatever they feel like. If you don't like it then don't go to the school simple.

Politicians should stop renaming universities. If you care so much about a fellow politician, build another project and name the person after them. Universities bearing the names of states, cities and towns are meant to put them on the map.

I completely agree with your submission. The renaming of established institutions contributes to the erosion of their brand equity. Our leaders need to evolve to the point where they understand how "little" missteps like this particular one affect the whole system.

MKO Abiola was from Ogun state and Jonathan felt UniLag a primier FG institution of learning should be renamed after him. However, Yorubas led by Tinubu opposed it. Now in his characteristic itchy, nervy and impulsiveness under the influence of is attempting to do what he opposed.

Same thing with the fuel subsidy issue, fighting against oppression, One-Party State. The solemn fact is whatever evil he has fought against, he has done worst. Posterity will not be kind to such egocentric minded fellas.

Same thing they did when Jonathan tried it with Unilag that they resisted in what he wants to try with UniMaid. Buhari is a catastrophe that deserved no monument named after him.Sadly Tinubu supporters are defending this move.
