Hello all 1st time on this thread, i am planning to apply for Schengen Visa via italy and I am reading about the delays in returning passport, I want to ask is there no option to keep passport? like the UK because I am expecting Canada to request for my passport and I do not want it stuck with Italian embassy. So u want to know if there is the option of keep passport till they want to issue?

no but you can ask to withdraw tout application if delay is much and Canada asking tout passport. Canada usually give 30 days feedback I don’t know your situation. Try France if you want your visa on time

I am a student in Italy to graduate in March and I am trying to get a visa appointment for my parents (Frequent travellers) to come for my graduation.

I am starting early because I know the Italian embassy can sometime delay applications, but I can't find any dates up until September on the TLS website.

Please how can I find dates, any dates from September/October/November works for me. I just want to lock it in now so that they have that sorted.

Please house . If I wanted to schedule a family of three appointment, would I need to pay both the appointment and visa fees before I could reserve the date?

What did you think I can do, I've been trying to secure a date for my legalization appointment at the Lagos Italian embassy for the past 2 months but to no avail.

It's really frustrating as I'm an Erasmus scholar with scholarship and my program is commencing by September.


I've registered on prenot@mi and sent email several times. It's really tiring and frustrating, the anxiety the thing is creating can't even make me focus on my daily tasks.

Are you trying to get your Nigerian documents legalized? Mine are Italian documents because I was born overthere and I'm trying to get an appointment for legalization/ recognition I will try the translator stuff but I don't know if its same thing

Look for dates highlighted in blue. Those will be the available ones. All the best.

Hi,

If the purpose of your trip is tourism, why not consider another Schengen country eg France? The only downside is you may need to first fly into France before visiting other Schengen countries.

Presently, Italy only has frequent flyer dates.

I have a host in Italy, that’s why and to cut down extra expenses going from one country to the other.

Sorry to ask, are you graduating from a Master's degree?
I want to apply to a cheap school there to resume next year, and I'm kinda worried if I will get a job to sustain myself and my baby.

I have expired Italy visa already but my family haven’t applied for Italy visa before but we have both traveled to other countries before even just back from a family vacation so the best Is to apply through Italy
