I have been watching this country called South Africa and I notice that they think they can take our place as the dominant and natural leader of Africa. No country in Africa can replace Nigeria as the giant of Africa. No citizens of any of these African countries are as resilient, creative and hardworking as Nigerians. South African had no place joining BRICS and G20 countries before Nigeria if not our leaders were sleeping. We have the biggest economy,a young and hardworking youth and we are found dominating every field in every country . South Africa has nice things. I have lived there but don't like Africa like we do. We welcome every African in Nigeria no matter where you come from. We are natural leaders of One Africa. Nigeria should please take it's rightful place and stop all this nonsense of diplomacy with these South Africans. That's why they disrespect us like this ,because they think we are mates. Countries that make noise about migrants can never be successful or lead others succefully, that's where we have all the advantage. Other Africans worship us because they know we love everyone. Nigeria is not where it's supposed to be but we. Shouldn't allow all these small African countries to get ahead of us because their country look fine or have light skin people. We must put our foot down as the Giants of Africa. They are even bragging that they were at the world cup and we had no team there . Why can't we shut these people up for good. The embarrassment is too much. Our guys abroad and patriots must come and weigh in. Cc Reflect WizardOfNG Kushites Goke7 Racoon Franchasng Stolen Ironfaceman Zero8zero Femi4 |

South Africa has a bigger GDP than Nigeria, so why do you think they are not ahead of Nigeria? The only thing Nigeria has is a bigger population Its not about population. Singapore has a population of just 6 million people, but Singapore has a bigger GDP than Nigeria |
| Re: Why Does South Africa Think They Can Take Nigerian Place As The Leader Of Africa by Evilthoughts(op): 5:50am On Jul 19, 2025 |
gidgiddy:You are not up to date with the lastest news. Nigeria is set to be the biggest economy in Africa by the end of 2025 when we rebase our economy. So Nigeria will be in a right place to remove these South Africans and join BRICS and G20. The big population is our advantage and the big economy. That's what we should use to rule Africa. No one is talking about Asia here ,so why bring Singapore into this. |

gidgiddy:Just few months and we will rebase our GDP to retain the number economy in Nigeria. What new development, projects, Reforms are currently going on in SA? SA and Egypt are currently using old glory. Egypt are so indebted with their new city in the desert. |
| Re: Why Does South Africa Think They Can Take Nigerian Place As The Leader Of Africa by Evilthoughts(op): 6:10am On Jul 19, 2025 |
helinues:Exactly. SA Egypt put together cannot match our might if we put our act together. All the best projects in Africa are in Nigeria. We have the resources, hardworking people and we are the most ambitious nation in Africa. Without Nigeria there is no hope or light in Africa. |

Evilthoughts:Egypt new city from scratch is not even up to 45% completed while they are exhausted financially. |
| Re: Why Does South Africa Think They Can Take Nigerian Place As The Leader Of Africa by Evilthoughts(op): 6:14am On Jul 19, 2025 |
helinues:They will be even poorer in the next few years and will come to us for Aid. The only people who don't see this are the enemies of Nigeria like that gidgiddy |
| Re: Why Does South Africa Think They Can Take Nigerian Place As The Leader Of Africa by helinues: 6:16am On Jul 19, 2025 |
Evilthoughts:No, I don't think so. What I personally learned from the Egypt new city project is when it's completed, the pyramids mystery would be child play. It's not Aliens that are building their current new city |

helinues:Still they will be broke. They have overstretched themselves to impress the West. And they will see who will dominate their economy soon . |

Imagine a country that had a chance to elect someone like Malema but rejected him because he doesn't like borders in Africa. Is that country an African country or a Europe in Africa. Nigerians are not that wicked. We don't discriminate against black people, we welcome them all. We are a loving people. Malema was their only hope to be a real Africa country but they hate him . What sort of people are these? They are foreign minds in Africa and should never be taken seriously because they will take us 10 steps back in unity. |

Evilthoughts:May be we should start by having 24/7 uninterrupted power supply. The other day, we saw obj with power bank in an event. Maybe we should improve our health care facilities and stop running to other Countries for treatment. We can't blame SA and other African Countries for doing the right thing while we politicise every issue here either along ethnic or religion line. We aren't ready to fix the Country. Perhaps the generation of Nigerians born abroad without theses 'naija mentality ' will come back in the nearest future to fix this Country |

![]() Is this mental illness or what ? ![]() What is up this entitlement mentality that a lot of you seem to suffer from over there? ![]() You don't deserve shyt!! You must work for it .If you want to be on top ,you outcompete those at the top ...not by playing victim or doing cho cho cho and gra gra gra . Any African has a chance to be on top of anything in Africa not just SA, Nigeria or Egypt. You seem to be the only ones with a chip on your shoulders going around throwing tantrums because you didn't get a position you thought you deserve. Work for it like the rest . This is sick.Wtf? This is what I posted about you people in another thread, just yesterday ;

Lionessza6:You people will always like to fight Nigeria because you fear our potential. You know no other country deserved to rule Africa like Nigeria. Nigeria is the only giant of Africa and even Julius Malema knows it and he calls you people hateful and jealous. |

Evilthoughts:Scream jealousy all you want but at the end of the day ,if you want to be on top of anything you'll have to work your way up. If you deserved a BRICS or G20 seat before SA then why didn't the other founding members give it to you instead of SA . You think you can lord over everyone like you tried in Ecowas and still failed ? .We are the ones jealous of you yet you're the ones lamenting over being left behind by SA ? . You were up in arms because we had a team in the world cup recently...but did we stop you from competing ? ![]() This is sick ![]() |

Evilthoughts:Let's see the debate before you start pushing that analogy. The reality is that South African economy has higher GDP than Nigeria. South Africa is regarded as a leading economy in Africa,; ranked higher than Nigeria. |

Evilthoughts:The potential Nigeria has been claiming for years but never materialized? Giant of Africa in terms of population - Yes, Nigeria. But in other aspects - No, we are not giant of Africa. Over 60 years of Independence yet Nigeria is still regarded as a country with potentials. |

Evilthoughts:The constant use of words like displace and replace say a lot about your hearts but you just don't seem to get it .We don't mind walking together with any other African group...Ethiopia and Egypt are good examples ; we are not in any way nursing the feelings of being the lords of Africa. We want partners not enemies or people with covetous spirits pretending to be our brothers . And lastly: you do realise that Nigeria was the biggest economy in Africa for sometime, why wasn't she then invited 🤔. You think this is all about GDP? . You're naive . |

Lionessza6:please just leave this one for us, he's suffering from mental injury. Anytime their political party in power messes up, they look for distracting topics meanwhile they're the ones who dragged Nigeria's economy backward to a devastated wartime economy within ten short years |

South African whites contribute to national issues. Black people are primarily consumers. Nigerians, as part of this group, face challenges in nation-building. |

Evilthoughts:This right here is the reason why you're despised around the continent. The condescending attitude and this god-like mentality you seem to harbor ( delusions ) . Every African nation has potential, the only difference is what citizens are willing to do to for the potential to materialise . You can't wish your problems away or wish for positions of power ...you perform for positive results . That's it .Malema was pushed down to 4th position on the last election and he will be pushed down further in the following elections because he thinks like you . We don't want a foolish ,pompous ,loud ,ignorant and arrogant man with an entitlement mentality as our president. You can have him if you Want. He is a misfit here . We don't want chaos and destruction in the name of " liberation " and " pro- blackness" . You can miss us with that. |

Nigeria, modern day tower of babel. Nigerian used to be giant of Africa. We're just giants now based on numeric index with nothing to show for it. Even Benin Republic is doing better economic wise. Leave southy, you think Nigeria can stand side by side with even Ghana except on social media warlords? Nigeria is living on past glory. It's like an evening newspaper. |

South Africa is the leader of Africans believe it or not. |
| Re: Why Does South Africa Think They Can Take Nigerian Place As The Leader Of Africa by WizardOfNG: 8:45am On Jul 19, 2025 |
Evilthoughts:Bro, South Africa is not a "small African nation". It is the nation others in Africa need to learn from. The SA v Nigeria gbas gbos is more socially-driven and will endure forever because humans are competitive like that over issues related to social bragging rights. Nigeria v Ghana jollof for example. Trivial but passionately contested argument. The Politics and economic success/failures of nations is different. It must be viewed/discussed with facts rather than sentiments and emotion. If the focus is on national politics and economic output, which is my preference to discuss, then I think we should humbly accept we have a lot to learn from SA. That is the truth most Nigerians may not wish to accept. Accepting this reality does not belittle us. It would simply mean we have the mindset of winners because winners learn from those better than them to improve and win. I am always hopeful Nigeria can be like Japan and Germany after the second World War. Two nations who accepted that costly mistakes had reduced their worth glory and standing considerably. They disappeared for a considerable period of time, went into Ghost mode to focus internally and solely on a return to greatness, to then re-emerge economic leaders of the world. This is what Nigeria and Nigerians need to do rather than dwelling on past glory or potentials. I.e humble ourselves absorb knowledge and good economic practices from others to then emerge truly dominant and meritoriously worthy of the tag "giant of Africa". |

Trymeee:Agree with the bolded . Nigerians feel that having a large economy, in comparison to others, signifies strength and success. It does not. True success for nations is always reflected by how national economic success facilates the best and most rewarding life for citizens. Switzerland is regularly ranked 20th in the top economies of the world yet I know, from direct experience and research-driven knowledge, that the Swiss people have better quality of life than most nations ranked 1 to 10 in the top 25 economies of the world . This is now the case with Nigeria and the likes of Benin Republic etal. Sure we are always in the top five ranking for biggest economies in Africa but the sad truth is that this is not reflected in the lives of Nigerians. Our average people, not the Adenugas and Dangotes etal, are today worse off than average Beninoise whose economy is not even in the top 20 in Africa.

Bait thread with no substance.Probably created to pass time because them generators be too slow to re-heat that last night egusi grease😔 All major companies in Nigeria are from South Africa so not only have we eclipsed your relevance on the continent and on a global scale but also right there in your country of 200 million people |

Shawarmagirl:You're a hater of the "Zoo" and your fellow Nigerians but your assertion is correct for ambitious and progressive Nigerians who accept that admitting the truth to oneself is not weakness. It is strength because having the clarity of mind to see what you do wrong is essential to correcting mistakes to then go on to make great progress. The same cannot be said for you and your bigoted "anti-Yoruba" ilk though. Your castigated of Nigeria is not objective and never delivered because you want better for her. Merely the utterances of enemies-within you lot have always being and will always be. |
