A socio-political group, the South-South Emerging Leaders’ Forum (SELF)
Same group that was recently created by mikano boys is forming south south leaders!🤣
ADC should do whatever they can to make Obi the flagbearer or forget about forming a united front against apc and Tinubu!

Just like hakim baba Ahmed rightly said in a recent interview in AIT,Atiku should give up his desire to be president and support someone younger instead of trying to hire his fanboys to create these irrelevant groups to attack Obi which I see as counterproductive!

By 2027,he would be in his early 80s and should rather take up the position of a king maker and elderstates man!

I agree with you 💯.

However, it doesn't take away the process. Instead of clamouring for the ticket as a gift, I'd rather prefer that you make cases for sanitization of the process. Also, this is politics, if you don't do it directly, you will do it indirectly, and I will give you instances.

1. Peter Obi has been going around, donating between 10m to 15m to institutions, empowering people and all that since the campaign for 2023 elections started. I will like you to tell me where he did such after he left the governorship seat in 2006.

He only saw the need for this to canvas for votes, indirectly, just the same way Atiku and Tinubu came thru for some states that experienced flooding and fire incidents in the build up to 2023 elections.

They do all these to be in the good books of the electorates.

This happens, not only in Nigeria but everywhere all over the world.

An adage says "he who is determined to eat from the honey hidden in the rocks will not mind the impacts on the digging tools".

If he wants the position, he must be ready to play the game because that's the only way he could prove his toughness and large heart.

Thank you.
Do you really believe that Obi avoids primaries?
Are you not aware that LP held their primaries in 2022 and Obi became the candidate thereafter? Obi won the LP presidential primary, which took place on May 30 in Asaba, Delta state. The presidential primary that produced Obi was conducted by the Julius Abure-led faction of the party and observed by INEC.

LP had the same factionalisation issue in 2022. A certain Calistus Okafor led one faction. Are you aware? They held their own factional primaries that produced a certain Jude Ezenwafor, former chairman of LP in Anambra. This same group went to court against the then INEC recognized Abure faction. It was the same Abure that gave INEC the date for the conduct of their presidential primary which was slated to take place in Asaba. Abure faction won.

Do not forget that two people, namely Atiku and Wike, out of their selfish interests, pushed Obi away from PDP. Knowing that it was the turn of the South, particularly the SE in 2023, there was not basis for Atiku’s attempt, talk less of Wike. They forced him away from PPD and currently, they regret it.

As already stated by you, contestants are known to perform some emergency philanthropic assignments, just to secure the votes of citizens. However, this issue of paying delegates to secure votes, is a slap on the face of citizens. If the primaries are free, fair and credible, then the best and most acceptable candidate will always emerge.

Cheers.

Well, Tonye Cole had the support of Amaechi and got all his votes from Obidients in 2023, how did it all end?

He lost woefully to Fubara same way Obi lost to Tinubu.

After losing he wanted to create a scene, what happened? Small boys slapped and beat him on live camera like someone who stole Maggi.

BTW, una too dey over-rate Amaechi. He is a Political light paper in Rivers state. No influence whatsoever.
Mind you that while the election was marred with lots of irregularities, greater percentage of Obidents voted for Fubara.

Tinibu only won Obi in Rivers State on papers. Heaven and earth knows this.

You know this is a big fat lie.
First of all he left office in 2014 and not the lie you told that it is 2006.

Secondly, Peter Obi has been donating generously to Health and Education institutions before 2019 that he contested as running mate to Atiku
Re: Stop Threatening The Coalition, South-south Group Warns Peter Obi by Ochendo1: 12:51pm On Jul 19, 2025
The SS has positioned Amaechi to be VP for Atiku, they have also positioned to be VP to a northern candidate in 2031 by massively moving to the APC. My shortsighted Igbo brothers are too myopic to see this and as usual are putting emotions in the forefront instead of strategy. By their style of politics even by 2039 the SE may not be able to get the presidency. I support a northern candidate and a SE VP in 2027. The north is still owed 8 years, and the argument of it’s the turn of the south doesn’t hold water. Think or you will cry marginalization for another 20 years. There is no pride in stupidity or foolishness, you must make sacrifices.

It is not a threat, it is no blackmail. The true is, Obi cannot be part of any useless Coalition that will only bring Atiku. Going to the primary is only a waste for time because the deligates cannot reject Atiku's money. When APC was formed via coalition, was this how it operated? Buhari won because Buhari was a movement, it was not about party but about a self motivated individual. ATIKU case, it is money, if he stops sharing money, even a counselorship ticket, he can't win.

Pardon me for the errors in dates. So, he left in 2014. And I'm not contesting his generous donations since he left office (say between that 2014 and 2021), I just asked that you provide a proof, it's that simple!

We're not arguing here but I like learning and I like people challenging my impression/narrative with facts and figures.

Thank you!

Good one bro 👍

I like your perspective. But unfortunately, as far as politics in Nigeria is concerned, fairness hardly plays out, that is why the proverbial saying that "whatever belongs to you will sure come to you whether you ask for it or not " never applies in Nigeria.

I always told people that when discussing issues that concerns us as Africans or Nigerians, you must always consider that peculiarity. And unfortunately, in politics, only parties are recognized for elective positions. Therefore, for you to get the ticket, you must be the one presented by your party, which means, you must have paid the price in order to emerge as the flag bearer.

Remember what happened between Atiku and Wike. In fact, those who advised Peter Obi to join the coalition made a big mistake from the very start because he had no business there in the first place. I always consider the antecedents when it comes to politics in Nigeria.

Also consider the reason Ambode was not given a second term ticket in Lagos State.

Bros, let Obi be willing and ready to play the game (if truly he wants this presidential ticket) or just take the back seat (if he thinks the vampires would stop him from getting what belongs to him) because, in the first place, nothing belongs to anybody, whoever fights wins!

Despite that we all know that the South is supposed to do eight years before returning the power to the North (according to the unwritten agreement), if Tinubu sleeps and Atiku or any other northerner wins the general election, he will have no option than to handover to so whoever wins. Anything short of that will be an invitation to chaos and anarchy.

It's that simple.

So, let him fight for it. If he wins, good for him.

Deny Obi ticket and the coalition crumbles. It's not rocket science.

All these threats don't matter.

So, there were no donations in six years after he left government, only to start in 2020 when he has an interest in 2023 elections. One in 2020 and one in 2021. Then he contested and lost! Now, 2027 is approaching. I can tell you authoritatively that he has donated between #10m and #15m each in more than 10 different places this year alone!

What do you say to that? Good heart or canvassing for votes indirectly!

Oga, educate me o, I need to learn and pls only challenge my narrative with documented facts pls.

Thank you

I am not worried about Atiku, I am worried about the igbos future in national politics. As usual you ppl fail to see the bigger picture and instead blame atiku for your failures and miscalculations. Obi even with ADC ticket can’t defeat Tinubu, the south is divided so is it now the north that will vote Obi? lol! Again emotions don’t win elections. The SS and its body language is leaning towards Tinubu, the SW is in his pocket, the north towards atiku, I don’t know where else your Obi wants to get his votes apart from SE. I can also bet that the SE turnout would not be as in 2023.
