I don't blame government in everything, some students are very dirty/wicked. They've this inbuilt I don't care attitude, to them maintaining property in school isn't their responsibility.


Back then in our hostel our gardener was sick so we arranged amongst ourselves to tidy up the surrounding because of overgrown grasses. Guess what happened, some students didn't come outta their rooms to join us.......They were busy forming big boys/girls.


Even if this hostel is renovated and strict maintenance measures isn't implemented they'll still mess it up after some time.

We're quick to point out that there's a system breakdown in the institution. Look at the low hygiene of the students themselves. Take a look at how unkept the rooms are, is the management that will also sweep the hostel and clean their dormitory for them? The students are also dirty.

It's obvious you didn't attend public university or lived in the hostel.

It is mostly the effect of mismanagement of public funds by the men at the helm of authority of the state and the school through wanton embezzlement. And this does not start with the APC government as mischievously implied by you, in order to gain traction from your obedient gang on NL. But, as you rightly know, this mismanagement has been the case from the creation of the school, whose allocated funds would have been used to build mansions by its principal officers everywhere.

If we don't have clear understanding of the gravity of our appalling state then we won't have appropriate resolve for lasting solutions.

Is this our country that some of us love comparing with the saner climes? We need to raise the bar, some things should be totally unacceptable. We have some places that are world class but those are tiny drops in the ocean. We need to do better!

Am so, Is it not better than some prisons? If you criticise presido for acquiring an airliner as president jet, twice the size of that of the south African presidents own, likely the biggest private jet in Africa it is this same students, some of them here in this forum that will attack you saying presido should ride in style and comfort etc, yet just the cost of flying that jet for 6hrs ie Lagos to London will renovate that hostel to brand new level. Same thing if you talk of a governor having the guts to buy bullet proof SUVs for billions of naira while his people are in wanton poverty, it is those same people that will defend the man claiming him and his aides should ride in style, meanwhile just the cost of one of those SUVs will fix the place.
During the last pre-elections interviews one of the candidates said it is only in Nigeria a man that has never ran a business, for what ever reason becomes eg a local government chairman, someone that has not seen eg 5m is now trusted with handling 5b, ofcourse the first thing he will do is buy landcruser of 500m, a second one as backup, another for his wife and then some hilux for escorts. Something he cannot ordinarily dream of while his citizens live in poverty.
Same students will talk of coastal road gleefully, what is alleged to be the biggest laundering operation of this generation, meanwhile imagine if that money was invested in healthcare and education.

God bless you bro! That was the first thing I saw in the video. Some houses being rented by same students are far worse in comparison. The students are the problem not the school.

That is why you cannot see our leaders and politicians children schooling in Nigeria schools and universities .. after they have destroyed the education sector and schools they send their children to foreign countries to school..it's a pity

graduated 9years ago it wasn't this bad...
