2027: Peter Obi's Current Dilemma by VeryWickedMan(op): 9:57pm On Jul 19, 2025
Read my last thread to understand this fully...

Believe it or not, Peter Obi is trapped.
The man is conflicted.

Let me highlight his current status before I delve in deeper.

1. He knows LP is 50-50 for him since Wike runs the courts
2. He knows ADC is a safer bet for him for 2027
3. He is (truly) willing to do only one term
4. He knows Atiku will find it very hard to step down for him
5. He knows Atiku now holds his much needed Northern votes firmly in his hands
6. He knows that if he doesn't run in 2027, he will lose MAJORITY of his disappointed supporters.
7. He knows that another 3-horse race favours Tinubu as incumbent
8. He knows that Tinubu is there for the taking and the key is if he & Atiku/North can reach a deal
9. He knows that Buhari's 12m votes will be split 70-30 between Atiku & Tinubu in that order
10. He knows that he needs Northern votes to win 2027
11. He knows that he is the only candidate that will get votes in just one region (South). Atiku & Tinubu will get votes in both North & South.
Point #6 is non-negotiable. It is why Obi will agree to Point #3.

If Peter Obi does not run in 2027 his supporters will leave him but if Atiku does not run in 2027 nothing will happen when he returns to run.

IF, and a very big IF, Atiku agrees to allow Peter Obi to run under ADC in 2027, Tinubu is gone.

If Atiku signs a handover deal with Tinubu for 2031 like Buhari/Tinubu did then it is over for Peter Obi (and Wike) grin

Atiku holds all the aces after his defection + Buhari's demise and this is why it will be extremely difficult to make him step down. To be honest, this is Atiku's best ever chance to be President and Peter Obi knows it.

And peter also knows that he is fooling himself by thinking INEC has polling unit online

Lol

Obi is not even desperate.

It doesn't matter who accepts or rejects him, in the end his name will still be on the ballot paper representing a party and his supporters will still vote.

He is a made man, He is just offering himself for service. It's Nigerians choice to make.

By 2031, Atiku will be around 87 years, and you are talking about him signing a handover pact with Tinubu so that Tinubu can handover to him 2031.

Una no wan pity this country?

This handover deal that you imagine between Atiku and Tinubu,,

Do you think it would be signed in heaven with Angel Michael as star witness?

Or would Tinubu swear by Amadioha to honour an agreement and hand over to Atiku.

Or maybe you think Atiku could present a signed agreement before the courts and ask them to force Tinubu to hand over to him?

You think Atiku is foolish enough to expect that Tinubu must honour an agreement to give him power in 2031?
Re: 2027: Peter Obi's Current Dilemma by fineboynl(m):
Atiku don’t respect zoning. He is too desperate.

Running here and there. Atiku has no business in last election. Buhari just completed 8 years. The last 2 election no major southern candidates was on that ballot it was just atiku and buhari .The all South supported atiku but he couldn't destroy buhari in the north.

The south haven't finished their 8 years he is still making a wrong calculation. If he like let him continue. South will not support him massively in 2027 election.

Even the north tinubu will get more than half votes. They will share money like never before on Polly units.

The north brought tinubu. If them like make them nor pick obi. Tinubu will continue. The second term will be worst than this first one. Electricity is about to go up higher. Tax reform bill is still pending. Make them hi de play

What we have been praying for is for all the coalition members, all the opposition rally behind Peter Obi to be the flag bearer of ADC.

The beating will still be inevitable . It's so obvious some of you don't know Jack about politics.

Atiku oo, Peter oo or whoever, no candidate presenting themselves so far can defeat president Tinubu in 2027. Which new stories are they going to tell the Nigerians now?
Re: 2027: Peter Obi's Current Dilemma by helinues: 6:45am On Jul 20, 2025
Perhaps, Peter Obi's supporters don't even know the implications of how they have been addressing others since after the election irrespective of tribes.

Hahaha, Nigerians don't have short memory. All your wack songs that you refused to listen to since you have been releasing the album of shutting others down, you would be forced to listen to it by force.

Infact, you guys must wear lipsticks for your mouth before approaching those that you have attacked, bullied and insulted

Atiku did not sign any zoning pact with anyone under the ADC. His Northeast region has also never produced a President. Below is a list of past Presidents and their zones. Atiku is eminently qualified and justified to contest the election in 2027.

The problem with Ibos is that they believe they can talk what they want into reality by repeating it over and over again.

Atiku is running, the coalition was created for Atiku, Atiku left PDP because Wike forced him out. The Northerners and every other member of ADV is prepping for an Atiku candidacy, ADC is Atiku.

Come to terms with this reality because in a 2 horse race between Obi and Tinubu, all the people you see in the coalition wil desert Obi and the election will be over before campaigning even starts. Obi is a junior partner, his role is as VP candidate and that’s all he can ever get. Prepare your minds for and get used to the fact that your only choice is to vote for Atiku.

As for the 12m Buhari votes, it has already been decimated in 2023. Tinubu only got 8.7m votes in 2023. You are using old data! Tinubu got only 3.7m votes from NW and NE, the so called Buhari votes. It will not get lower than that, if anything he will get more than that in 2027 because Kano is now in play .
Re: 2027: Peter Obi's Current Dilemma by WickedAfonja: 10:20am On Jul 20, 2025
This was posted right before the Peter Obi Dilemma thread but deleted by Seun/Mynd to protect Wike...

Wike knows he is finished.
No leverage against Tinubu means he is desperate.

He is at Tinubu's mercy right now and he doesn't like it. Tinubu can fire him and that will be his end. Tinubu can also make Fubara delay his peace deal in time to rearrange Rivers.

-Checkmated by Tinubu in Rivers
-Checkmated by Atiku in PDP

The man is gone

His final move? Peter Obi.
Let me explain...

Wike intends to deceive Peter Obi and use him to remain relevant in two ways.

1. Allow Peter Obi to run under LP & emerge as LP candidate then disqualify him close to election using Abure thanks to his bribed Supreme Court justices.

2. Lure Peter Obi to PDP with the hope of a superior political structure and financial backing to LP's then play PO like he played Atiku.

His recent expulsion threat is a ruse and once Peter Obi falls for it, Wike will be reinstated to finish him off. If Obi doesn't decamp willingly, Wike may also decide to expel himself from PDP, join Abure's LP faction to smoke Obi out of LP into PDP and once Obi is in PDP, decamp again from LP to PDP to finally end Obi.

The 2 scenarios above automatically give Wike strong leverage against Tinubu and allow him to be seen as a "string puller" especially since Peter Obi is considered a deadlier foe than Atiku due to his organic followership.

Wike can then bargain with Tinubu using either option to remain in power post-2027.
The final nail to Wike's coffin will be if Peter Obi officially decamps to ADC the only problem with that is whether Atiku is willing to step down for him.

The moment Atiku signs a deal with Peter Obi for 2027, Wike and Tinubu are gone.
