Apology To Aisha Buhari - Farooq Kperogi
Although I absolutely should have foreseen it, I honestly didn’t anticipate the profoundly painful consequences that my July 16 Facebook update titled “Aisha Buhari, Divorce, and Forgiveness Claim” would have on former First Lady Mrs. Aisha Buhari and people closest to her.

It’s one of the worst and cruelest lapses of judgement I have ever committed in my life, and it has been a source of unfathomable personal anguish for me these past few days.

My source, whose integrity is unimpeachable, insists the information is accurate, but never intended for it to become public. Going public with the information was an error on my part, as not every well-sourced information is for public consumption.

On the other side, Alhaji Sani Zorro, former SSA to the First Lady on Public Affairs, whom I hold in the highest esteem, has reached out to question the accuracy of my claims.

I will not contest the particulars and veracity of the information with Alhaji Sani who conveyed the former First Lady’s position that her marriage was intact. After all, as the late MKO Abiola memorably said, no one can give you a haircut in your absence.

Clearly, Mrs. Buhari herself has the ultimate authority and right to define the status of her marriage with her late husband. Her truth should be respected as supreme, whatever other facts may exist.

Moreover, the truth of this information is now far less significant than the hurt my disclosure of it has caused. I shouldn’t have shared it publicly. Period. Doing so violated every moral and ethical principle I cherish and uphold. But it shows I am only human, an imperfect human.

I realize it might be impossible for many to believe (except those who truly know me) that I acted without malice, ulterior motives, or external influence. But I sincerely did not intend to harm Mrs. Buhari or execute any personal vendetta.

To Mrs. Aisha Buhari, I offer my heartfelt and unreserved apology for the needless and deeply regrettable hurt I have caused. I am truly sorry.

BREAKING: Aisha Buhari Breaks Silence on Divorce Rumours, Says Marriage to Late President Buhari Was Intact https://phoenix-browser.com?d=1712072282264953301

UncleJJ:
Obviously lies. Nigerians living in the south need to double check everything they hear about politics.
The south gets the news last oftentimes never.

- Buhari never, and would never divorce Aisha. She bore him the only male child he has.
- She collected the flag
- You will find very few pictures of her in the daura home ; during his presidency he visited daura quite often alone.
- Social media make people say stupid things for advertising dollars
- Ask kperogi to prove it, and he will start giving you directions to babylon

This one talks like a woman. Cho cho cho. What is his business with someone's private affairs? Aisha Buhari was in Kaduna as recent as March 2025 with Buhari during the Ramadan. So when did the divorce happen? It was the most disingenuous thing to do to a woman in grief.

God knows I have never taken this man seriously with all his fake write ups and predictions that have never been true. He will just sit down and scribbles anything down with his famous " my sources" bullsh!t. He only has "sources", he doesn't do his own primary findings. I have lost count how many times has he recanted himself. How did he even become a professor?.

So which should we believe based on your logic.
Aisha buhari divorce or Aisha buhari message begging Nigerians to forgive buhari for the evils and mismanagement committed against Nigerians.

Sometimes I really wonder his age, as he seems to act like those from Hundeyin's generation who just want to burn everything and not consider the consequences.

I really hope he changes as despite all he has done for so long, I truly believe he wants a better Nigeria for most Nigerians.

At some stage we all need to learn to manage our anger about the way Nigeria has become, lets focus our energy on how to change the narrative within the social contraption we find ourselves...French revolution style of sentiment cannot save us, same way it did not save the French.

Aisha for use DSS detain him normally but power is transient 🤷. Power must change hands, she can't do nada. Her pillar is gone, she's now vulnerable and will collect back to back . Mr lawal DAURA, the ex overzealous DSS DG go dey laugh one side with that his yeye wife that ordered the brutalization of a NNPP official that they won't win election. Today Governor Abba of Kano is calling the shot🤷

She has the right to maintain the cosmetic nature of her relationship with PMB post his death, like she has done ab initio of it, which is for obvious reasons. But that doesn't outright nullify the fact that their marriage ended in 2016.

This is a huge gaffe from the author. I think he is supposed to be a scholar, but he realizing the consequences of his actions after he'd pushed a damaging narrative to the public is reckless and unfortunate.

Farooq is more of an Atiku man than a Buhari or Tinubu person. Let him focus his attention on the bandits killing his people in Baruba land and push for the emancipation of the Batonum/Borgu/Baruba people in Nigeria and Benin Republic.

The information was true, but like you said, it may have hurt the former first lady that you let the information to the public.

Anyway, the deed has been done, we are now aware cool

If you're picked up and charged with defamation, will you be able to come out victorious by proving your statement with evidence?

Seems some people don’t understand his write up n thinking maybe he gave a wrong narrative or info .
He said he was sorry he posted the info(which was accurate) publicly as it may have affected her negatively.

A truly wise person uses few words; a person with understanding is even-tempered. Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.
Proverbs 17:27-28

There’s no how you’ll be talk too much and not cause problems for yourself and others. No how. Be you Reno or Kperoogi, you’ll only eventually display your foolishness

The secrets some of us know can wreck people, but why wreck anyone for goodness sakes when we were all born sinners and had to seek repentance from God Almighty?

Why publish such an article at such a critical time in the first place.

To what purpose?
Re: Apology To Aisha Buhari - Farooq Kperogi by dalongjnr: 9:15pm On Jul 20, 2025
Zero emotional intelligence.
Zero empty.
A sadistic being.
Publishing that article on the day her husband was buried is not only mean but cruel.
He should be sued for the 😔 emotional and physical stress his actions may have caused.

Farook Kperogi is the type of human that will stab you in the back and start acting all concerned and be showing care while you bleed to death.

Farook Kperogi should save his crocodile tears as he knew exactly what he was doing and knew the kind of damage it will cause particularly to a grieving Muslim family who had just love their dad, husband, uncle etc because Buhari was all of that and many more to different people.
Re: Apology To Aisha Buhari - Farooq Kperogi by stuffs2002: 11:08pm On Jul 20, 2025
The case of Aisha Buhari is not the first time Farook Kperogi would tell lies so as to fan the ambers of discontent only to turn around a say he was sorry after the damage had been done.

I remember when he lied that the NNPC boss Bashir Bayo Ojulari was not a northerner just because he is from Kwara state. This is particularly ridiculous because Farook Kperogi himself is from Kwara state yet has never considered himself a southerner. After raising so much issues and many used that to attack president Tinubu, Kperogi later wrote a rejoinder apologising to Bashir Bayo Ojulari after all the damage had been done
