Tinubu: Nigeria’s History Wouldn’t Have Been Complete If I’d Lost In 2023 by Maxymilliano(op): 7:21pm On Jul 20, 2025
He spoke in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, at the 8th Day Fidau prayers for the late Awujale, Oba Sikiru Adetona.

Tinubu paid glowing tributes to Oba Adetona, for his role in his political journey and success in the 2023 general elections.

According to him, the nation’s history “would not have been completed carefully and richly.”

He said “Our history would not have been completed, carefully and richly, if I failed the last election.

II was successful because of your support and the blessing of late Awujale. I came to him, he blessed me.. He said ‘you will win that election and you will win one more time. Go ahead.’

Today, he is no more. He is gone.”

He praised the late monarch for his wisdom steadfastness, resoluteness and encouragement to the course of June 12 and democracy.

He went on to thank the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, whom he described as “Okanlomo Eleyi of Ogun State” for his role before, during and after the burial.

Abiodun called on the people of Ijebuland to remain united and uphold the values of peace and harmony championed by the late Awujale.

He urged residents to be law-abiding and to honour the monarch’s legacy through actions that reflect integrity, dignity, and selfless leadership.

In his short sermon, the Chief Imam of Gbagura, Prof. Kamaldeen Bello, noted that death, being inevitable teaches every human the essence of life

“We will all taste death, so live as though today is your last”, he stressed

Dignitaries present at the prayers include, the Governors of Kwara, Ondo, Ekiti States, and the Deputy governors of Oyo state, and Lagos state, and ministers, amongst others.

No lies detected.

His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) stepped-in when he was most needed. Imagine if we had voted for the “Lie Dispenser”, we would have all been filled with lies while our economy crumbles.

We know where we were before His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) assumed power and we still grateful for the little wins we have achieved and assured of better days.

God bless His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR)

BUhari is no more so the whole of katsina votes will go for Atiku .

Kwankwaso is negotiating with ADC if that sails through then kano votes is following him to ADC.

Tinubu performed woefully in South west in 2023 election.
He lost Lagos and Osun to Peter Obi and Atiku .

South east is no go area for tinubu and he knows it.

South South you and I know that tinubu will fail there . So where will Tinubu get the vote from?

You're banking on rigging ?
Tinubu succeeded to rig because the north made it possible so wetin una wan do this time ?

If he loses at the poll and refuse to step down or try to impose himself through mago mago na there d country go scatter. INEC can’t rig such a glaring victory from ADC. U think Nigerians r fools? It’s definitely gonna start from d north. Jonathan accepted defeat. Tinubu should accept his wen it’s time. If he actually was doing well. Who will be calling for coalition?

Let him sit up even yorubas are tired of defending him things are hard he knows nothing about good leadership.

When he beats Obi and Atiku again, I wonder what excuse you would give again.

My advise is that you tell Atiku, Presidency is not in his destiny. And Obi should be patient and wait for his time.

2038 is almost here for him.

Well, he’s dead now and so are his words.
