In Nigeria, yes. Pharmacies are usually regulated by the pharmacy council of Nigeria and must have pharmacists working there. While what most people know as "chemists" are kiosks run by patent medicine dealers with no knowledge of drugs and health. Many Nigerians don't know the difference and mistake patent medicine shops for pharmacies!

I hope you know that there are some very big chemist with well arranged counters and products. So Many peeps will mistake it for pharmacy.

I'd always advise those living overseas to ensure they take the malaria vaccine before entering our space because their system would be strange to our environment when they get here. Most of what we call 'chemist' in Nigeria are not regulated!

May God rest his soul and comfort the family. One can only wonder how malaria took him. Could it be the +++ type or late diagnosis or they'd been using fake drugs without knowing or using ineffective herbal treatment or ignorance or what?

In fact, sonetimes malaria drugs are hard to find outside sub saharan africa talkless malaria vaccine. Those vaccines are still not commercially available and roll outs are hardly seen because they are available under pilot programmes and not routine travellers vaccine. I am not talking of vaccine in WHO labs.

I understand you. They're administered under the WHO supervision. That doesn't make them non available. It's a fact that it's not been commercialised yet. If you live in lagos, I can refer you to 2 places where you can get the vaccine on arrival. It's in Nigeria on selected facilities. Envoys,diplomats,ambassadors and their family members and Nigerian citizens do get the vaccine in those places. Maybe I used the word "popular" due to the nature of my job and those I've referred to take the vaccine in the past

The longer malaria is left in the body untreated, the more deadly it becomes. The worse is that when the patient doesn't know that he's suffering from malaria or thinking that it has gone because he or she took anti malaria drug. Sometime, it is resistant to a particular drug one takes

I honestly think it's actually the other way around it should be you guys that's the real unity beggers for borrowing and attaching igbo names to ur names and still shamelessly claim not to be igbos no one is forcing anyone to be igbo, igbos are not fulanis that are well known to conquer non fulani communities and install their fulani
emirs there. English is a colonial language so it makes sense when people from British colonies decides to bear english names but that can't be the case with people that willingly bear igbo names without any history of being conquered by the igbos.
