Shame to these guys who choose not to hustle legitimately despite the hardship and throes of life ..there's always light at the end of every tunnel. Imagine the number of families in Warri now missing their sons and wailing!!!!!! Wild fire news |

With a good lawyer, these guys will definitely come out. By this assertion, I am not promoting cyber crime but worried that our security Agencies keeps violating the very Constitution the sworn to protect. The Military is never designed to make such arrest unless under a joint operation wherein the Police/EFCC takes the credit so as to validate the arrest in court. If this arrest is a sole arrest then the obvious to be stated is that there is no line of communication and cooperation amongst these Agencies. Another lacuna here is "Warrant of Arrest". Unless Nigeria system is quasi-military, I have not seen anywhere such Warrant is given to the military within their territory. |

It's like you one of them. Anything that will down the rate of cybercrimes in this country is welcomed uote author=2cribz post=136180464]The NA should be slammed, insulted and slammed to court and fined 10billion naira for damages. It is not the duty of the NA to arrest suspected Internet fraudsters,no where under the Nigerian constitution was the NA given the privilege to impersonate the anti graft agency In rounding up cyber criminals. No legal backing.Infact see them in court. What nonsense I just remembered The npf play role of road safety Nafdac plays role of ncc Road safety play role of vio Vio play role of npf Ndlea play role of custom I mean the fuc k The list is endless[/quote] |

The army has totally derailed from it's mandate and core principles by usurping the role of pseudo-civilian and anti-fraud agencies like EFCC. Your job is to fight violent terrorists and not to run after fraudsters. Very soon, na to do Federal Road Safety work and boy scout work Una go dey, as Una work done tire bore Una. When we were young, if you see Army for road, then something serious like a coup or riots maybe have happened, and they don't smile, faces are hardened, mouths are sealed. Na only 'go' dem dey hear. Serious war men. Today, army full everywhere dey follow police drag #100 for check points and road blocks. They have succeeded in civilising the army into toothlessness and militarised the police into forced extortionism. Shame wear me shimi for left eye. |

This reflects the hopelessness and despair that currently permeate the nation. If an entire generation of youths in a society views fraud as the only path to escape a life of despair imposed on them by their leaders, that society is in serious trouble. |

| Re: 183 Internet Fraudsters Arrested In Warri As Army Raids 'Yahoo Training Centre' by Celestialsword: 11:46pm On Jul 21, 2025 |
themanderon:you're not totally correct. There are jobs but these lazy youths don't want to work as they wants quick riches. Skills acquisition centers are empty everywhere as none of these youths don't want to learn skills like; Electrician, carpenter mechanic, tailor, painting, tilling bricklaying, iron bender Auto mobile sprayer, etc . These skills are highly sought after, but it's only the older generation that still does it, as they are going into extinction. When the old generation have gone, there will be nobody to continue because the youths that were supposed to acquire these skills from them were not available. They prefer to learn how to scam, yahoo because that's where quick money will come from.. To make matters worse, majority of these parents encourage their children to go into yahoo. |

Celestialsword:We are still saying the same thing. If they see fraud as a way of escape, is it not a failure in our value system as a people? The political leaders who are supposed to lead by example are the ones stealing on a massive scale, so these youths simply want to follow their lead in making it big by any means necessary. |

What is business of Nigeria army with yahoo boys ? Have they finished dealing with Bandits and terrorists ? The job description of Nigeria army is to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the nation. What has that done to do with Internet fraudsters ? |
