The country is going to be on a great ride in the coming months. The economy is going to be largely private sector driven, one of the biggest drive of the reforms of the current administration. A power sector driven by private investors in accordance with the new electricity law whereby state governments are in charge of generating and distributing power within their respective states.
An oil sector driven by private investors where private refineries are being built for fuel production and distribution. Already Dangote is taking charge of bringing logistics closer to the consumers with 4,000 CNG Trucks.

A maritime and blue economy where private investors are building port terminals. Indigenous investors are now building local vessels that are delivering maritime services both home and international, the first of its kind in the history of Nigeria. Reforms are not magic but a process.

The Dangote refinery that obedients were mocking two years ago when it seems that it was taken long to complete is about to become the sixth largest refinery on the planet as Dangote commence the upgrade of the refinery to 700,000 capacity last week. I bet they won't be happy with this 1250 MW power plant also because they never rejoice in anything good but good at amplifying bad news.

Was happy about this news but at the same time, having a mixed feeling about the plant and the aftermath.

First, this plant is solely for distribution right? If you can digest it well kindly explain well for we that we care to learn and still loves Nigeria
The reason for this is so as to be sure whether Nigerians will benefit from it or otherwise.

Let me tell you I am in a stage in my life where whether if we paint the streets in gold in Nigeria and money falling from trees, if the action or actions do not benefit the last commoner then it is of no use.

So back to the point, why is the pant dependent on gas ? I know gas is good but the fact that gas is being controlled by Nigerian government is what I don't trust. So I guess you are getting what am driving at?

Then how many states will benefit from the distribution?
Is it still going to be on Ibedc or Akedc or what have may?
Or is the man going to have it totally to himself such that he may be able to handle it the way private institutions handles their things in Nigeria?

Because the megawatt is a lot , this can feed at least 10 states comfortably if the generation and distribution is handled well enough.
Lastly, Prof Bert Nnaji did one also in ABA, though not sure if the megawatt is up to this one and then I would like to ask from people there that how far with the light?

Are some parts in the south east ok with light now? If not, what's the issue?

So this will tell us if we are to rejoice for our dear oh Nigeria! Or we continue to mountain as usual.
I drop this : I work with a private religious organization at some time where the organization do generate their own light at that time, so I would like to challenge you to go ask what has become of the light today. In that organization.

The light is/was been powered by this same gas Nigeria has in excess which later became the major problem of that organization.

I don't know who writes these power articles without mentioning the source of energy.

Anyways, this will significantly improve power supply. It should be fed to people and companies that can afford it so they don't run it like NEPA power stations.
Which source of energy again?
Did you read the article you are criticising at all?
The man said he is waiting on government to connect the plant to the National Gas Grid. That is is the only step remaining.

Na wa for you guys o.

One Federal Government policy, and that investment will be gone. Big entrepreneurs don't underate government. Little shakeup by NNPC and a whole Dangote nearly died some months back. He almost wanted to sell off that refinery. Imagine if Lagos government and FG decide to face him squarely, Adenuga will be in a good position to explain what his eyes saw under Obj that made him relocate to Ghana.

No President in Nigeria begs anybody, the worst that can happen is to lose the next election. Even at that, youre still a FORMER PRESIDENT.

But 2027 is done and dusted for Tinubu.

My sadness in most of these is how SE part of southern Nigeria is leaving itself behind. There's hardly any big vision going on there despite the wonderful and talented minds. Just mainly negativity, revisionism, generational hate, blame and prey mindset. It is well though not well at all.
