You don't have proofs for your claim. Tinubu has always been open to allow private participation in the power sector. That's the main reason for removing subsidy in the power sector too to allow level-playing ground. Mind you, Obasanjo wouldn't allow individuals to participate during his terms as President. Tinubu as governor even built generation station but Obasanjo didn't allow it to operate until Lagos accepted to sell only to the national grid. However Lagos sold to national grid but Obasanjo never remitted any money to Lagos state.

I think its source of energy is gas. Most of the newer plants build have been using gas and so there’s going to be a supply problem ahead.

It’s one of the major headache for Edo State owned plant where shortage of gas meant there’s no electricity in government buildings.

But it’s also more reliable. I wish they don’t have to connect to the national grid though.

It boils down to lazy journalism.
Building a power plant of such magnitude is not easy.
I doubt the capacity as touted.
Maybe the owner is doing publicity however reporting journalist should also investigate.
The picture shown is also not probably that of the power plant.

If Tinubu can make the environment conducive for private individuals to fully participate in power generation, transmission and distribution, and fix the power problems, I will vote for him 10 more times because our major economic problem is this epileptic power supply.
Obasanjo and Atiku spent $16b to fix this problem, still Obasanjo himself is still using power bank.

A power sector driven by private investors in accordance with the new electricity law whereby state governments are in charge of generating and distributing power within their respective states.
An oil sector driven by private investors where private refineries are being built for fuel production and distribution. Already Dangote is taking charge of bringing logistics closer to the consumers with 4,000 CNG Trucks.

A maritime and blue economy where private investors are building port terminals. Indigenous investors are now building local vessels that are delivering maritime services both home and international, the first of its kind in the history of Nigeria. Reforms are not magic but a process.

Tinubu will never be loved from the other side... They strive from importation while Tinubu is drifting the country towards self reliance. A step to take for the country's greatness but at the same time, a step on the toes of many citizens who have been striving on things that have kept the country stagnant for years. Dangote refines fuel for local use, Adeleke to give light for local use, is it that there is nothing to be contributed from the other side but assembly plants for imported materials and a shayo brewery...?

I admire his determination. However, our problem, from the little I know, has never been generation but distribution. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Instead of feeding it into the national grid, Ondo state should establish an industrial estate or free trade zone near it to take power therefrom.
